Thank God the president himself has said it that HND and Bsc are the same qualifications. GOOD!! If the government really mean what they are saying let them pass the bill that makes it an offence to discriminate against HND holders, period!! else nigerians and employers of labour wont take it serious. Imagine what nigeria customs (or is it Immigation Service sef) did in their last recruitment; Bsc holders - Cadet Superintendents while HND and NCE holders were recruited as Cadet Inspectors. Is HND equivalent to NCE now?? I'm surprised this same discrimination of HND is coming from the government. If the goverment is sincere in its dealings let them pass the bill in front of them on the HND issue.

HND and Bsc are equivalent qualifications, period!!! Government should pass the bill on HND discrimination on time i beg.

HND-holder you are now talking. Converting polytechnics into universities is almost wrong as this will kill the technical/technological manpower of the nation. please you people should fight and kick against it. Let polytechnics remain as polytechnics,but should be empowered to run masters and Phd programs so that HND holders like Degree holders can progress.

OBJ and Yar'adua actually took part in an abortive and foiled coup in 1995 and were later arrested and sent to jail. OBJ cannot deny the fact that they actually planned a coup. It was very obvious they planned a coup. The same thing applies to Oladipo Diya and Co, they actually planned a coup too. Were OBJ and Yar'adua the only retired generals in nigeria then, that Abacha would want to punish them for nothing?? What about people like Gowon, why was he not arrested for coup plotting too?? OBJ actually took part in plotting a coup against Abacha's government in 1995. Even Mamman Vatsa that was killed for taking part in a coup against IBB in 1986, his people are still making noise till today that he was not part of the coup. IBB was not insane and ignorant, he knew what was happening, and he was very surprise that his dear friend Vatsa was part of those who wanted to kill him. IBB was equally sorry for his friend Vatsa but what would he have done?? Free him?? What about the other coup plotters?? Free them too?? No coup plotter caught ever agrees to be guilty of coup plotting. Chikena!!

Buhari is better than 10 Obasanjos. Buhari and Obasanjo are uncomparable. What do you understand by corruption?? Corruption literally means having a dent record financial wise, which OBJ has. Buhari was one time nigerian head of states, he did not loot nor stole nigeria's oil money, rather he was arresting and dealing with civilians and officials of Shagari's corrupt government. Buhari was again made PTF chairman during Abacha/Abdulsalam's regime and he showed his high integrity again by managing the oil funds well and not diverting money meant for nigerians into his personal account. Give OBJ that same office (PTF - Chairman) and see what will happen to nigeria and nigerians. Something negative and not positive will surely happen to the funds. Please in all aspects of leadership Buhari is better than OBJ and i support and pray for Buhari to be the next nigerian president and leader.

My broda help me ask dem o. I'm surprised that despite all that is being opened about OBJ and the presidency at large some nigerians are still saying that OBJ is not a criminal. Who then is a criminal?? Are you guys nigerians at all??

If only nigerians will realise that PDP and its members have ruined this country and change direction to another party like ANPP. For God's sake we need a change. Let all of us in nigeria vote against PDP if not for anything but to remove power from the hands of criminals and send them to jail where they rightly belong. I wish ANPP and BUHARI success!!

ANPP really need to do their home work well to defeat PDP. Buhari has a good credential when it comes to fighting corruption and indiscipline. I prefer him to Yar'adua.

The funds FG give to universities for research is 10 times what they give to the polytechnics as yearly allocation, but yet nothing positive has come out of the universities in respect to the research(es) they claim to be carrying out. Let FG give research funds to polytechnics and see if the result would be different.

So because Britian and America have changed their polytechnics to universities, Nigeria should as well change hers, abi?? We like follow-follow i dont know why; and that is what is making us develop negatively. We really need independence in nigeria. Look at China, Japan, Korea, India, Brazil and others, they are doing better than nigeria because they refuse to copy from America and Britian. Let nigeria learn to develop on its own rather than relying on America and Britian.

My dear a lot of xtains dont see it the way we do. They belive tithes is meant to be paid to the church. I once asked someone a question about this tithes and i was surprised at d answer the person gave to me. The question was " if you have a neighbour that is poor and one day he falls ill and is rushed to the hospital and of course no money to pay as advance before the doctors can start attending to him; and you as a christian had only 10% of your monthly income which you plan to take to the church as tithe. Would you use that money to save your neighbours life or you will take the money to church and give it as tithes??" The person said he will take the money to church because the money belongs to God and not the neighbour. We have been so brain-washed to believe that not paying of tithes will send us to hell. Na wa oo.

My dear i have been asking this same question too. Tithes should be given to the poor, needy, orphans, widows and destitutes; and it must not be money and must not be 10%. You can decide to give all your salary to the poor as your tithe or give out the only bag of rice you have in your store as tithe to a widow who is your neighbour. I do not believe giving money to pastors as tithe is right. Some people say that the tithes is used to take care of the church; why not used in taking care of the poor and needy?? What do they do with the money we give to the church as offerings every sunday?? Let us not forget that tithing was an old testament thing when the israelites were still under Law and ordinances of that period. For God's sake when christ came and christianity started we were admonished not to live under the Law again. If we must pay tithes by taking 10% of our monetary income to the church we can as well also "keep the sabbath day holy", which is saturday, and we can as well call some animals like pig "unclean" and never touch it nor eat its meat.

Why should we accept Yar Adua as President of Nigeria?
It is very clear the PDP intends to impose a consensus candidate of their choice and the anointed governor of OBJ to become Nigeria's next president and thus confirm that this country is a country not of her people but for some persons.
We reject PDP and Yar Adua. Reason, the faceless reforms that aims at further impoverishing the people will continue.

You alone cannot change things; better sit down and watch what those PDP people are doing.

Is paying of tithes part of christianity? Because christianity started after christ has come and gone, and i cannot see where christ nor his apostles talked about carrying tithes to the church in the new testament. You may need to help me know where it is stated in the new testament if you wish. Is it compulsory to pay tithes to the church?? What about giving that part of your income to the poor, orphans, widows and helpless people??
