But something needs to be done concerning this issue of HND discrimination even within the polytechnic. How can polytechnics be employing only Bsc holders to work for them both as academic and technical staff while HND holders are considered not fit. If truely the HND certificate is equivalent to Bsc then polytechnics should equally employ HND holders with Bsc holders together and place them in the same level. Polytechnics should be the first people to even patronize HND holders. Charity begins at home, they say. |
I don't think any school does that in nigeria for now. |
JosBoy4Lif:If what the koran says about killing and beheading of non-muslims and muslims who convert to other religion is peace, then i wonder what it would have looked like if the koran supports violence. This kind of peace wey involve blood shedding na wa oo!! |
I learnt NBTE have made arrangement with some UK universities to accept nigerian HND holders direct for their Masters programs (Msc, MA and MTech). In Nigeria you can do MBA in some universities with your HND upper credit without having to do a PGD; you must have done Biz Admin in your HND sha, before they can give you MBA direct. |
donmayor:That is why we need people like you to help us educate nigerians, especially those who don't know the role of polytechnics in nation building. Please do all you can to make people see polytechnics in nigeria as a place to be. Some university graduates are already doing that; especially those who work or teach in the polytechnic. |
Donzman, please help me enlighten those guys. They talk like infants who are still sucking and enjoying the breast milk of their mamas. I wonder if they ever make use of their thinking/reasoning faculties before posting anything here; that is if they even have the faculty. |
donmayor:Pally forget that thing, there is no secondary mathematics that is not utilized in the university or polytechnic. Matrices and determinants are taught to secondary school students who do further mathematics and are as well taught to students in the university and polytechnic, although this time around you concentrate on how to apply it in solving practical problems. Again you will always use the techniques of quadratic and simultaneous equations to solve many problems even at Msc level. You said you are in your final year abi?? I wish you well sha; you are coming out with flying colors by His Grace; but one thing you need to do is: give repect to poly graduates too, for they have their own way of contributing to the building of any economy. |
donmayor:And MATHEMATICS happens to be one of the techniques used in solving PROBLEMS. Better learn how to use Mathematics to solve problems o. How you take graduate from university sef?? |
HND-holder, we need to educate some of dem who always think and believe that HND in Nigeria is the same as HND in uk where a student gets BTEC HND without doing any research project. We need to let them know that we do research project 2wice in the polytechnic before getting HND in Nigeria. |
Is your Bsc atleast a 2.1?? If yes, try Zenith Bank; they need guys with CCNA in their IT department. Go to their headoffice in ajose adeogun street in V/I. Good luck. |
qleyo:Are you saying there is more mathematics in engineering Degree program than mathematics Degree program itself?? And remember also that most of the pioneers of computers and computing were mathematicians. Blaise Pascal for example was a mathematician; Charles Baggage was also a mathematician; Muhammad Ibn Al-khwarizmi (an islamic mathematician) started what is today known as Algorithm in computing. Computer science in general has its foundation on mathematics. |
Donmayor, no try me again oo, else i go give you another maths wey you no go fit solve again. |
Hnd-holder:you're funny. |
sbucareer:Just wanted to see if you could get the trick; although it was nt meant for you it was meant for one Donmayor who hid himself after seeing the question. Thanx for your comments about HND holders; liked what you just said. Know it now if you don't know; nigerian HND is more or less a Degree. The credit load for HND is more or less that of a Degree; although there are some things you don't need in the polytechnic which are found in the uniersity curriculum; also there are techniques found in the polytechnic curriculum which are not present in the university curriculum. And hope you know that unlike in the UK where HND students don't do a research project, in nigeria you do a research project before you 're awarded or given a National Diploma (ND) and you do a final project for you HND again. But that is not to say that all poly graduates are good; some are not good technically and theoritically. Not all university graduates are good either; some are not better than secondary school graduates. The whole thing boils down to the individual and how you plan to develop yourself and acquire the skills needed by employers. Therefore HND holders in Nigeria who are by far different from HND holders in UK and other countries should be allowed to compete favourably with Degree holders. Who the cap fits let him be allowed to wear it!! |
Hey, Naija man where have you been all these while?? You were hiding abi?? So you too cannot solve this small maths problem? Na wa oo. Anyway sha Six-sigma has given us the solution. His name suggest that he's a logical and analytical fellow. |
Let me put it this way for you again: K = NQ + 0.5YQ2 Check under career section; HND certificate an embarrasment?? Six-Sigma has been able to get the solution. Its a simple quadratic equation that is all, chikena!! |
Yes, you are correct. |
Flex06, why are you posting your picture here?? Please we dont want to know how bad looking and wowo you are. |
Sbucareer, you tried although you still did not get the answer because you still do not understand the question. Please it is only Q that is raised to power 2. The question again is: K = NQ + 0.5Y(Q)^2 Someone else has solved it correctly. |
o'o wi ire |
Radiant:Seun was wrong. He was displaying some form of pride and arrogance, which is not really good. Radiant, whats your own sef?? Why are you supporting Seun like dat?? Is he your husband or something?? Let Seun apologise to people he has offended here else he should ban himself. |
Kool down, you sef na poorman before. You wan begin claim level here say you bin dey drink garri with milk. I hear you!! Na without sugar you dey shack your own sef ![]() |
Donmayor, since yesterday you no fit solve this small maths with all the university Degree wey you get; imagine na now we dey hear from you again since yesterday. Because six-sigma don solve am you decided to come out. Shame suppose dey catch you oo. I doubt if you know maths sef. |
pally you have saved Donmayor and university people. Hey, i also did it in my further mathematics too in secondary school. And you must have come across it in one of your physic courses in the university just like we did in the polytechnic. You tried. But why did you have to waste so much time dividing both sides by 2, taking squares of both sides and all that?? Very easy re-arrange the equation: s = ut + 0.5at^2 (From here one shld be able to know that it is a quadratic equation) ut + 0.5at^2 - s = 0 0.5at^2 + ut - s = 0 This corresponds to ax^2 + bx + c = 0 with a = 0.5a, b = u and c = -s using X = -b +- SQRT(b^2 - 4ac) ------------------------------------ 2a Then substitute the values of a, b and c into the quadratic formula Chikena!! Na him Donmayor no fit solve. Thank you for saving him. |
sbucareer:Your answer is wrong. Please for the purpose of clarity it is only Q that is raised to power 2. i.e. K = NQ + 0.5Y(Q*Q) HND- holder him no get am oo. I tell you say all their university na for mouth. |
LoverBwoy:Pally how you take know say i dey drink garri?? E be like say sef like drink garri well well. Anyway sha i no dey too drink garri, na kpokpo garri and fish i like pass. |
Yeah man, that's it o. I love writing my numerical analysis and statistical analysis programs using FORTRAN. Infact the FORTRAN i did in school then was FORTRAN 77, and even as i'm talking now i still write some of my FORTRAN codes using FORTRAN 77; but i just feel guys should move ahead to OO FORTRAN using FORTRAN 2003. Have you laid your hands on FORTRAN 2003 compiler? Guys need it o; how you see am?? |
Go to setup and check the status of the system's "power on" and "shutdown". I will still advice you to use another fresh HDD and reinstall the operating system, because during reinstallation the operating system corrects some abnormalities. |
Loverbwoy or what do call yourself are sure you are not sick upstairs? U need to be in d same ward in the same psychiatric hospital with Flex06 and Odeku. Read and understand very well before passing comments. Are you an Egbaman from abeokuta?? |
OK oo!! But wetin government and national assembly dey talk now?? |
Donmayor, a university graduate was making mouth that polytechnic graduates don't know anything, i gave him one small mathematics that we did in poly to solve since yesterday, the guy never still fit solve am. Any university graduate wey know say him sabi maths make the person help Donmayor out. We poly graduates we gree say we no sabi anything, but make uni graduates solve d maths for us .See the question again: make Q the subject of the formula: K = NQ + 0.5 YQ^2 |
Hnd-holder:when?? I'm almost getting tired of waiting. |
