PoliticsRe: Soludo Replies Akunyili by isimili: 12:09am On Jul 29, 2010
Ujujoan summed it up well. shame shame shame! The two are too childish to be allowed into anambra state govt house. they will probably start fighting and humiliating their close family instead of working for anambra state. I expected more from both of them.
PoliticsRe: Akunyili Sacks Aide Over Soludo’s Comment by isimili: 11:54pm On Jul 28, 2010
The issue between Soludo and Dora is a family one. Dora's official aide should therefore not use time paid for Nigeria to defend a private family matter.

That said there must b e more to it that meets they eye. lets see where this is going.
PoliticsRe: Ndlea Seizes N4bn Worth Of Cocaine At Tin Can Island by isimili: 5:23am On Jul 28, 2010
Well done NDLEA. The next step will seal the fight against drug trafficking. When investigations are complete and the barons are prosecuted and jailed in accordance with the law, then i will be happy.

Today's sun alleges that some members of Enugu House of assembly may be involved in the importation. Isn't that amazing? Another way to prepare for 2011? How can Nigeria survive with such vagabonds in power if indeed this report is true. God save us.
PoliticsRe: Naval Officers Beat Up A Lady And Stripped Her - Watch Video by isimili: 12:28pm On Jul 25, 2010
I am incensed beyond the devil's wildest imagination. How dare that idiot dressed as a naval officer and i mean how very very very dare him humiliate that young girl in that manner in the name of power. Guys you can see how and why Nigeria will never heal and if it will ever heal it will take generations of aggressive Nigerians to put things right. The devil in me says catch the idiot and beat him mercilessly. If that idiot had the audacity to treat that young girl like that in public only God knows what he does to his mother, wife and daughters. he needs to be caged because he is wilder than a lion. In fact hate him and the people standing around watching. Someone should have picked up a brick and break his foolish head. I am shocked at the rage i feel because i never knew that i have the slightest streak of violence in my bones but i feel like killing these bigots. They have abused their offices and embarrassed Nigeria. People wise up and call our leaders to order. there are many people looking for works and idiots like this who are lucky to have it are making a mockery of it.God save the Nigeria. I am really really angry.

PoliticsRe: Governors Criticise Gsm Firms Over Kidnapping by isimili: 5:12pm On Jul 20, 2010
Governors my foot!!!!!!Here they go again blaming others but not themselves. they have all failed us and should shut up. As Zebrudaya Okoroigwe nwogbo would say in those days "in my very before" many of them came into power without a kobo in their pockets or switched from 419 to avoid prosecution and what have then done since then, stolen us blind and ran us to the ground. people have even become poorer. They should first repatriate the money they have been stealing from us, develop our states, build factories and industries to create work for anyone who want to work and need to. then they can have the moral high ground to blame anyone for failing. registration of mobile sims is not the answers. If i am determined to cause mayhem with my mobile, i will use every poor hungry person in my village to obtain registration under false name and use it as i like without being caught. i am sure that some of the so called governors whose prodigal and badly confused kids are involved in kidnapping will even protect me if i talk to them properly. Look at the DPO and the chief involved in Kidnapping. They should get serious. The judiciary needs to be overhauled too so that if i do any wrong and need to be prosecuted there will be a time scale for that prosecution and proper monitoring of judges but not unending prosecutions with interference by politicians with interest to protect.
PoliticsRe: Should Kidnappers Be Killed by isimili: 5:01pm On Jul 20, 2010
I am against capital punishment because two wrongs cant make a right. We cannot deal with crime without dealing with the root cause first. If i should be compelled to agree with capital punishment i will go for our politicans and police first in order to justify killing any kidnapper.

what many of us fail to understand is that the flaunting of ill gotten wealth by our politicians and the state of disengagement between people and the state is so poor that some people are living deads and do not know the difference betwen life and death. This means that many people are very suicidal because of frustration and would rather kidnap, maim or kill for any reason in order to be released from their living hell. Therefore being killed makes no sense to them as they have no value for life in a country so sick as Nigeria. I think that the bloody minded idiotic politicians should stop blaming anyone but themselves and change their ways. My only anger with kidnappers is that they target the wrong people. many of us are as poor as them and should not live in fear of them. They should target the politicians and their families and leave poor struggling people alone. I have no sympathy for criminals dressed like politicians and government of the people that means well for our country. In fact someone should round them up and empty the tipper into the ocean or panti and throw away the keys so that we may start all over again. I just hate the fools who are more owambe than leaders. Did anyone see them in asoebi in uyo like elementary kids in uniform and some of them sleeping on duty? fools and idiots. they should all go and hide.
PoliticsRe: Dora Vs Soludo. This Is Hmmmm: Help! Charles Soludo Sent Thugs To Disrupt My Sis by isimili: 12:14am On Jul 19, 2010
I am very very disappointed. I love Dora but think that she most times acts without thinking and if i may respectfully say, lacks tact and decorum. As Nwada Igbo " a daughter of Igbo Land" she should know and respect the tradition and not let power rule her sense of judgment. Traditionally Soludo and his guests should be welcomed as inlaws by the deceased's children and her husband if he is still alive. They should bring drinks, cow and yam which will be accepted and a goat given to him in return. He should be entertained by the family. In most cases where such in laws are people of means, they give the family money for the food and drinks in order to ensure that their guests are well looked after. Female members of the deceased's family usually sit inside round the bed as umu ada "daughters of the land" and be entertained by the daughters of the deceased under the supervision of sisters like Dora. So frankly speaking Dora got it completely wrong. If she had special guests to entertain, the deceased's children should be informed and special arrangements will be made for them. Dora can always give them more to put towards their entertainment. She must act sensibly or otherwise lose relevance. On the other hand i think that she has her eyes on the governorship of Anambra State and Soludo is doing his political best to put her where he thinks she belongs. Lets watch and see how it ends.
CrimeRe: Why Is Death Sentence A Penalty For Drug Peddlers In Most Countries? by isimili: 6:23pm On Jul 14, 2010
Life is a fundamental freedom and no one has the right to interfer with the life of another unless in times of war. i personally abhor and condemn death penalthy in every respect including times of war,
i believe that the few governments of the world who support the death penalty for drug trafficking do it because the ultimate end for the eventual drug user though not in all cases is death. they therefore feel that if the peddler is not minded to waste another's life then he ought to pay with his life too. But my people, we all know that two wrongs do not make a right and such penalties have yet to stop the peddlers. the Solution therefore is a clear change of attitude by governments and politicians. they must find out and address the root causes the crime. i have been following the case of 18 Nigerians who are about to be executed for drug dealing by the government of Indonesia and admire the fact that a Nigerian group has taken up their case. visit them and follow them at arisenigeria.org and add your voice to their campaign.
i know and can appreciate how strongly many people feel about drug peddling and using but life is supreme and we must not interfere with it. it is also the special handwork of God and we must not challenge god by destroying his hand work. God bless you all people.
PoliticsRe: 2011: Turai Yar'adua Eyes Senate by isimili: 6:01pm On Jul 14, 2010
Hilary went to the Senate and has something to offer America.

what does Turai have to offer Nigeria?

i am hot on the involvement of women in politics because i think that Nigeria is overdue for proper democracy but for Turai CAPITAL NO.

The only reason is to give her immunity from prosecution. If she succeeds, then Patricia Etteh should be made the president of Nigeria. The political arena will then be complete with clowns. God save Nigeria.
PoliticsRe: Police Chief Gives Kidnappers 24hrs To Free Journalists by isimili: 5:31pm On Jul 14, 2010
The truth and the absolute truth is that the Police and our Politicians lack the will to do anything about the menace of kidnapping. The police know all the kidnappers and their sponsors. they share the booty and would not dare take any decisive action against them. Again if they dare, they will tell all. therefore unless Onovo is willing to call a spade a spade and sack everyone involved in the operation stop kidnappers and find the journalists and bear the consequences then he might as well forget the whole madness and let them rule the streets of Nigeria.

That said we all need to ask ourselves why these boys are kidnapping people and not afraid of anything? Over to our politicians. i do not and will never justify such an appalling traumatic acts of wickedness of man against another innocent man but for Christ's sake what other alternatives have our politicians provided these boys? They have reluctantly granted Niger delta unemployed youths amnesty and paying them money to calm them down but what are they doing for the rest of the unemployed youths. Our govt must get alive.
PoliticsRe: Supreme Court:Chekwas Okorie-stop Wasting Your Money/Time-Make Up With A.P.G.A by isimili: 5:19pm On Jul 14, 2010
A very welcome development. It is heart breaking that these two men have neglected the affairs of APGA for so long and simply fighting for their personal interests. I hope and pray that Chekwas takes the hint and lay this embarrassing matter to rest. i do not know him personally and cannot speak about his political capabilities but from all the litigation's he has been pursuing against the party and Umeh I think that he is a very selfish man. Not that Umeh is not one too. If he is trying to stop Umeh from being the chairman of the party then i can understand but to try and stop the party from taking part in elections too is wholly unacceptable.
The judge's biblical analogy was simply apt and mirrors the igbo say in of the chicken who cannot eat who also does not want anyone else to eat and therefore scatters the food.
The fact remains that he was accused of defrauding the party treating it like his personal property. he has not satisfactorily rebutted that allegation but simply want it to remain business as usual. No he must account to the led and if he is beyond blame then he cannot lead the party. Good on you your honourables!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PoliticsRe: Ojukwu, Obi Welcome Orji Into APGA by isimili: 2:00pm On Jul 03, 2010
I hope that APGA will make the difference in the rest of the states and win more states and seats in the assembly come 2011. But they need to be sure that Orji is here to serve our people and not his personal interest.

On another note why is it that these governors who are forced on their states always end up parting ways with their mentors? Look at Chimaroke and Chime, Egwu and Elechi, Ngige and his god father Eselu and a host of others. I hope that this will teach other people good lessons.
PoliticsRe: MILITANTS BEAT UP TIMI ALAIBE, Whereabouts Still Unknown!!! by isimili: 1:53pm On Jul 03, 2010
Good on the Militants. Its more than about time. I see no reason why these national and international thief thiefs will enrich themselves with our money but instead of subjecting them to a well earned punishment we attack and harm ourselves and blameless fellow hard working and long suffering citizens.

Thank you militants. beat but do not kill more and if possible all of them. That will teach them a big lesson and kick their blasted heads into gear. Again if you kill them it will be an easy way out. they need to be stripped of their wealth and their celebrity status disgracefully. It will be nice if people are e also brave enough to torch their mansions and ensure that they never put them up again. it may force them and their children to live in holes and tatch houses like many other hard working Nigerians and bring them back to their senses

PoliticsRe: 2011: Babangida To Set Up Offices In 32 States by isimili: 1:27pm On Jul 03, 2010
Interesting comments. My brother biggy4joe like Jamaicans will say it "you vex well well" i agree with you but looking at it from another angle, the man no go win anything, but because he stole so much from us, God is finding a way to make him pay back and if possible lose everything and get his name down in history as a disgraced thieving president who died penniless. The venture he is setting out on is very expensive and will cost him a bum. So lets support him and help him set up as many offices as possible from where some of our youths can get paid salary even for ten months before the election.
His comeback attempt shows how little these thieves think of us and how disrespectful they can become because of money. Lets hope that he lives to see to see his inglorious downfall on the d day.

that said i am urging Nigerians not to be aftraid to take money off him by way of direct remuneration for any work they may be assigned and which they agree to do for him or bribe of any kind. strange as it may sound i am a great believer in bribery from thieves like IBB. To me the money they are trying to bribe us with belongs to us and them. therefore they are only giving us or sharing with us what belongs to us and we are not doing anything wrong taking what belongs to us. However in return i believe that the only way to teach them a lesson and stop them from fooling themselves by thinking that they are doing us a favour by giving us back our money is to take the money and give our votes to people we believe have our interests at heart who did not give us a dime but only their word to serve us with their hearts and we know they can do it. next time fools like IBB will not bother to steal and lose it to us by way of bribery. Lets outsmart them.
PoliticsRe: New Nigerian Iron Lady Comes On Stream by isimili: 1:04pm On Jul 03, 2010
Go Girl!!!! take no prisoners!!! clean the dirt and create a new beginning for genuine traders and a lasting trust in the Nigeria securities market.

The call for more women to be involved in Nigerian politics cannot be louder. Women make the difference and the best of them are usually those from their fifties upwards. They are not looking for favours from men or those who will take them to bed for pennies. They are usually very fullfiled and academically equipped for their jobs and could not care less what anyone wants to say or think about them. we need more women in our regulatory authorities and need to get them together now.

Good luck Aruma. We are behind you
PoliticsRe: Goodluck Now On Facebook by isimili: 12:26pm On Jul 03, 2010
A very interesting development. Lets hope that he responds to the problems personally and that no fool like the press adviser of yaradua who lied his head out all the way through his sickness thinking that he was representing yaradua when in actual sense he made a fool of himself and the man he was supposed to be representing.
PoliticsRe: ABIA GOVERNOR JOINS APGA by isimili: 11:59am On Jul 01, 2010
Confusion has taken the centre stage in Igbo land. If i remember this man was in prison when Orji pulled him out and handed over the state to him. It was then believed that the idea of swearing him in while a case was pending against him was to ensure that he has immunity which will prevent him from any further spell in prison.

is this not amazing that he now wants to abandon PPA and join APGA. APGA leaders and only members are Ojukwu, Peter Obi and Victor Umeh. Therefore unless they have perfected means of rigging the election he stands no chance which to me is all well and good. After all what has he done for his people? steal and enrich himself at the detriment of the people. PPA is lying when they ordered him to pay wages. they are all in it together and would have continued to waste money and share the wages of innocent hard working citizens if they have not fallen out over who gets what out of their loot.

He is heading for a grand loss come 2011!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
PoliticsRe: Unbelievable: Ettehgate Bags National Award In Nigeria by isimili: 11:42am On Jul 01, 2010
I can only but laugh. Honour for Patricia Etteh, then even the king of kidnappers deserve an honour.

Nigeria has a very long way to go. That woman was selected as a member of the house of reps despite the fact that she is completely inept. To crown it all the PDP made her the speaker of the House of rep even though she could not read or write very well. The reasons for that appointment was that the PDP needed a fool they can control through whom they could steal money to run their party. If not for the goodwill of Nigerians they would have carted away billions of pounds in stupid allocations for elephant projects using her. Because she refused to go when she was caught in the act, a representative from the north died while agitating her continued refusal to leave her office. Noe what are we honouring her for? Attempting to use her office to enrich the PDP, putting the house in disrepute or contributing to the death of a member and embarrassing Nigeria? Jonathan must be out of his head to even allow her name to appear on the list.
There is wild desire for women to be adequately represent at all levels of government and i fully support this urgent need. However, if having more women in the house and other areas of government means having market fools like Etteh then i think that we can do for a while longer without them until such a time that we begin to understand that in order to lead, you must have the intelligence, independence and credibility required for public service. so NO TO ANY HONOUR FOR THE FOOL WHO MADE WOMEN LOOK BAD!!!!!!!!

PoliticsRe: Is Goodluck Jonathan A Megalomaniac: Bans Super Eagles For 2 Years! by isimili: 6:24pm On Jun 30, 2010
My People i am not sure what power is doing to our leaders.
the other day i read that Governor Akpabio ordered his men to destroy the house of the alleged killer or brain behind the killing of the former PDP secretary in his state. I shuddered with great shock as i do not know where he derived such powers from and whether he had acted lawfully. i can bet you my last penny that not even the chief police officer would lift an eye brow. If Akpabio can act so recklesslessly and our legislators fight themselves like crazy dogs, what more can the leaders expect of the masses. what happend to the p;police confiscating the man's house until he is found guilty and if he is guilty the state can confiscate the property as a proceed of crime, sell it and compensate the family of the deceased with the proceeds or even donate it to the unfortunate witch children of Nigeria. the conduct of Jonathan and Akpabio proves to me that power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. lets see where this will get our boys. i wonder what Jonathan will do if we take his livelihood away for all his errors as a politician. these foot ballers have families to maintain and how are they going to cope. This reminds me of the time Obasanjo ordered the burning of lace fabrics from the shops of traders but made no arrangements for alternative means of livelihood. I bet that some of those boys are some of the criminals and kidnappers in our mists today. God we are watching and hoping for a better and new Nigeria.
PoliticsRe: Jonathan, Nwodo And Governors Celebrate Nigeria At 50 In London by isimili: 6:07pm On Jun 30, 2010
This news report has given me further insight into the credibility of some of our reporters and shaped my opinion on how much i may believe many of their future stories. my cousin was privileged to attend that summit and i can therefore report from a position of knowledge and authority. From information available to me and which i have also personally checked, the summit was organised by a well known, very well respected and successful Nigerian events organiser in the UK. it was sponsored by shell and many other foreign businesses which have interest in doing business with Nigeria and other Nigerian businesses including banks, airlines etc. Only one governor attended. it is therefore wholesomely nefarious and misleading to say that it was was part of the suggested 10 billion naira. we must remember that if we are condemning the obvious incompetence and selfishness of our leaders, it will take us nowhere if we use lies to stoke up sentiments. we must move on and remember that lies can be quite dangerous and very destructive too.
As to using 10 billion to celebrate our 50th, that is utterly irresponsible if it is indeed true. We must all condemn it and make the government know that we can use that money to employ more than 100 thousand youths for up to 5 years and change their lives too. Please people let's think of taking our country forward and forget lies. And to that brother Beaf, thanks for standing on the side of objectivity. fyi i have no interest or benefit from any government, individual or businesses involved in the celebration.
PoliticsRe: Nigeria - Ibb Begs: Please Give Me Another Chance by isimili: 9:49am On Jun 27, 2010
I sense fear and desperation in that man's voice. Please keep a good eye and give him no chance at all. in order to for us to listen we need him to account to us for the missing millions. return whatever is left and apologise to us for everything he did during his time.

the good thing is that the number of replies and comments on the topic are so small that it is obvious that no one takes him seriously and he is going no where.

i cry for Miriam because i know that she would not have allowed him to make such fool of himself if she is still alive. IBB please go and finish mourning that girl before you jump up again to embarrass yourself with the impossible.
PoliticsRe: Ogun State Government May Go Bankrupt? by isimili: 11:24am On Jun 26, 2010
The Governor's request is a grand theft design for his send off. What did he do with money which was given to him previously. If he could not build all of those during the past 7 years of service (to himself and friends)  to the state, what is the guarantee that he will do it now. He should be ashamed to own up that his state might go bankrupt. Why? because of his incompetence or insufficient funding from the central government? These thieves will never learn. Good on the state legislators. The first time they have impressed me. The Governor may be looking for money to go to the senate or sponsor his successor whose duty must include frustration of any attempt by anyone to look into the past business of the outgoing governor and ensure no one probes him. Ibori did that with troubled aoondooaka and uduaghan.

Beaf was dead right and wirinet to an extent too. Although there might be need for a local airport. why did he not construct it before. he simply wants to give out the contract and take his share. Again if the state does not have its on investment income or business which will attract investors who certainly will need the airport to travel in and out of the state, what is the point creating further financial liabilities for the state. The airport will not run itself. People will be employed and if income from the airport should be just from those visiting the states for social events or indigenes returning for weekends, then government will need to substantiate their wages. there is a lot to be considered so well done to the legislators
PoliticsRe: 2011: Women Must Be Given 50% Elective Offices - Sambo by isimili: 2:14am On Jun 26, 2010
I agree with Sambo but only if these women will be selected because they are intelligent and competent. The trend had been to give such offices to willing shamelss girl friends or mistresses instead of skilled, work angry and hungry females. Hope women of calibre with the rights skills only will be elected and appointed.

PoliticsRe: Feminism: What Is Your View About It? by isimili: 6:25pm On Jun 25, 2010
A very interesting topic.
the truth is some women take this feminism thing too far because they are confused. For me feminism is equal right, respect and Justice for every human being despite their gender. However some women think that it is about asserting none existent rights and disrespecting their men. From my experience a man is a man and a woman is a woman. we all have our unique features which we must all respect in order to have a happy life. no one is better or bigger than another and where man and wife live together with each respecting each others rights, views and feelings, the children turn out very balanced and good members of society. Where however one person feels Superior to the other person and a woman wants her husband to wear the skirt or man wants his wife to sit and watch him bring in dirty bitches into their house in the name of superiority, hell is then fury like a woman or man scorned because peace is gone forever. after all women and men are born by women, carried in the belly for 9 months and delivered the same way. so feminism is about gender equality, love and respect for one another.
PoliticsRe: Abia 2011: Kalu Backs Brother For Governorship by isimili: 5:59pm On Jun 25, 2010
What is it with my Igbo people? An Igbo saying goes like this"anyi aga anosi madu madu na esikwa muo muo" meaning how can we be human beings and be acting like foolish spirits. is this governorship thing hereditary? is this still a democratic government? God save us. Very soon Orji will wake up someone from the grave and impose him on Abia as their governor. I think that my igbo people lack the ability to understand the difference between democracy and common sense. I heard from the grapevine that what really caused the saga in Anambra state PDP primaries was that one of the illiterate self acclaimed king maker wanted to contest against his equally illiterate brother but was stopped. As a result he changed his mind and wanted his sister's husband who is educated to be the governor while his wife's younger brother will become the deputy. His mistress will be the SSG. And to conclude the madness he will retain the right to appoint all the commissioners. This irked up members who thought that given his influence in the state he was going to have his way. They therefore prematurely dragged in Soludo as the only credible challenger despite him not being a registered member. This irked up others who them put spanners in the work and "okuku wee gbasaa okpesi"meaning the crazy chicken scattered the agenda. please forgive my poor translation. Orji should be careful because Farida may get angry and cause problems for him.Ibori is an example. farida no de smile o. the woman de stressed.
PoliticsRe: Sen. Arthur Nzeribe Should Be Arrested Immediateltly. by isimili: 5:39pm On Jun 25, 2010
i won't be surprised that he is calling for military coup because something has not favoured him or he anticipates that he may lose his seat.

so this is the famous igbo saying, "okuku eliro eli obosaa abosaa" in my opinion he is a person non grata and if democracy is about honesty, integrity and honour then he is not even fit to have the privilege of cleaning a councillor or local govcerment chairman's shoes. But hei we are in nigeria and everything goes.
PoliticsRe: The War In Igboland by isimili: 11:41am On Jun 25, 2010
Okey Ndibe could not have put it any better.

the truth is unless the attitude of may Igbo chiefs and politicians are curbed and everyone is called to account for what they may have done or failed to do, nnukwu manwu and Oke manwu's will continue to embarrass and endanger the image of igbo people all over the world.

Kidnapping started in baylesa thanks to Ibori and Odili and to some extent i could see the boys points, now it has turned into business in Igbo land. People are afraid to return to their villages as their lives are at risk. can you imagine someone who has been waiting for paper to return and see their people FPO over 20 years returning from America after such a long time with many be money he borrowed from his credit card and someone kidnaps him for ransome. Is that not a curse. Would they ever come home again if they get out alive. O read that the army are now involved in the fight in Enugu. Hopefully we will know the big wigs involved. If i have a way, the army and police should also raid their homes, take them away and demand billions from the impoverished families and keep them in prison if they fail to come up with the ransome. That will teach them a bit of lesson and if possible strip them naked and give them 24 lashes every day until their families pay the ransoms and they have been to prison for 25 years.
