Why should government fix the school fees? It's not like there are no cheaper or free schools! Parents aren't forced to send their children to these schools. Market forces should fix the school fees! If the school is too expensive, they would not get any students and would have to shut down.

It's up to parents to determine if it's too expensive or not. This is not a communist country. People who want to send their children to such schools should be free to do so. People who believe that the school fees are crazy should also be free to send their children to other schools that are cheaper or free.

A parent sued Corona Schools Trust a few years ago, because they increased their school fees. The parent lost the case because the court ruled that they have a choice. They can send their child to another school if they believe that Corona's fees are too high.

I am not advocating they should be scrapped.

I am saying the fess should be regulated, as what is obtainable everywhere else.

Tuition fees set unilaterally by private schools is not in the best interest of the country, it has so many disadvantages

1. Parents are left at the mercy of the shylock school owners.
2. Yes, changing your child's school just because the school authority increases the tuition unannounced or makes them too high means the child school rhythm is disturbed.
3. Teachers are priced out of public school for greener pastures, leaving behind a poorly motivated public school workforce and the attendant problems of strike and what not.
4. The turnover rate of teachers in these private schools is crazy as teachers are at the mercies of the proprietors.

I rather have the tuition moderated and regulated so that the choice remains with the parents.

This is sad, to note that education for grade 1 through 6 is now at minimum 400k per semester, that is 1.2million per year.

The FG should rein in on some of this excesses. Schools should be regulated and school fees should be fixed.

If you are not ready to provide the service and you are in it for the quick profit from totally dis-oriented parents then you should quit.

Please did I hear you say how to achieve this.

First, take off the crude oil proceed from the FG account. That way you and the FG do not get any income from crude oil sales.
That way we do not need to share any sales proceed.

The proceed accruable to the government will be concession fee, tax returns, royalties, regulatory fines, fees and other charges and all other associated fines like EIA and Environmental fines for waste or non-conformity to standards.

If these organisations handling these roles are up and doing, take it from me we do not need the proceeds from sales as the proceeds from these alone will be triple that of sales.

The sales proceed goes entirely in sovereign welth fund for savings and re-investment.

With this done, draw up value chains for all mineral resources in the country and vigorously send out lazy foreign ministers and ambassador on a Foreign Investment Drive, a target if you wish for which performance measures will be granted for effectiveness based on the FDIs attracted by them.

Send out the lazy interior minister on FDI target and ensure measures are taken for every year or else let someone else try.

Fight, lobby seek expert views and come up with fail safe policies for their exploitation, production and utilisation.

proceeds of their sales goes to their individual Sovereign wealth fund and re-investment managers with a plan in view for post each-mineral era so that the investment proceeds marches or surpasses the proceed from the exploitation of each mineral.

1. 6. Nickel has just be found in you country, where is the plan for the value chain. How do you intend to match the income post-nickel production to Nickel production....in other word what are your investment plan.

Many more if you guys are thinking above self and not interested in being politically right or since it now too familiar, half of the time you and your FG play to the gallery or or can not stop blaming GEJ.

All this energies can find useful use in thinking up solutions.

If you need help with ideas Nigerians with beautiful ideas abound for 1 every kobo.

Please do not insult us with this lazy resort to blames of mono-product economy, this tape or message must have overplayed itself already.

We need to come up with a Nigeria-centric plan for exploitation and production of Nickel.

We must use the crude oil as an example and produce a plan that will see Nigeria and Nigerians maximize the benefits of such natural resource.

Firstly, come up with the whole value chain for Nickel.

Secondly, attract foreign investment for all the value chain for Nickel and setup policies and laws that will make it a success.

Thirdly, develop a local content law for Nickel ensuring Nigerians and Nigerian Company are allowed 60% local content.

Fourthly, make sure only finished items of Nickel are exported. If you want it, Come into Nigeria. Make your setup, Produce and export from Nigeria.

Fifthly, ensure proceed from the sales of Nickel is not shared like is the case for crude oil.
Plan for post Nickel resources, by ensuring proceed are sovereign bonded or saved at least 30%.

70% of the proceed should be used according to the following plan:

1. Immediately initialise, pay in full will a delivery time line of 18months a nothing less than 40,000 MW power plan.
2. Ensure nothing less than 36 cities upgrade in infrastructure, utilities and lifestyle living which will attract the tourism much needed for our country plus forward looking in project involved in so that we can meet pragmatism as well as aesthetics.
3.Complete the Nigeria Integrated transport master plan with a 5 years in mind.
4. Create the Nigeria-centric society where Nigeria work for Nigerians and the sheer fact you are a Nigerian means your life is secured at least from the dividend from our sovereign investments.
5. Complete the Ajaokuta Steel plant was a lateral-integration for Nickel produce.

Anything short of these means we are not learning from our mistakes and it is better we do not tap the resources as it will amount to waste of good resource as well as remarkable opportunity to come out of our poor statehood.

The woman's weapon is her mouth- The terrible, horrible and damaging words she spew per minute. That is why women talk more than guys. This gentlemen is her weapon and her defense mechanism.
What she lacks in strength is made up for in talking.

So in this case and almost in every other case of this nature, women make use of all her strength to the fullest and the men are to compete with her in her area of strength, Talking!!!!?

Even in talking, you are term a "woman wrapper; as guys are not to talk".

Brother for a piece of advice from me.
The woman is wrong in so many ways.

If you love her that much, call her and in no uncertain terms tell her she has to manage her anger or both of you are done.

And when next she cross the line by assaulting you by words or physically, both of you are done as the alternative would mean you resulting to physical means.

Send her home as you planned, as it is a marker and a strength that you will not tolerate her assault.

And if she result to self help as in the previous time to looking for old love, you will know she is irredeemable.

My problem from these lily-livered SANs who now pretend to be the vanguard of democracies is the conniving silence they assume when the

As anything done then had a political connotation and geared towards disqualifying their tin-god from running. For to dare to swim against the tide, you will be labelled a Wailer and scared of a PMB presidency.

But they now found their useless voices in a conspiracy against a man, who in my view is too benevolent for my liking, to offer the position of the Law which was remarkably non-existent nay silent against their paymasters.

They should have remembered the Law when the BH indicated that PMB was their patron and their only trusted go-between or negotiator with the state of Nigeria.

Why didn't they call for the investigation of PMB and his alleged sponsoring of BH in order to win the elections, which worked by the way.

Even in the heat of the electioneering and campaign, GEJ was stoned and mobbed in some parts of the North with bombs planted severally in places he is to campaign which were strong holds of APCs.

Did he cry foul? No he took it has part of the game. For elections were a game and supposedly so, as assuredly one person will win and the others will be runner-up.

To even mutter that it is a treasonable cause to attack the president by any sector of the country they kept conspiratorially silent.

PMB should fight his battles and evolve innovative ways to appease the ND as was done by the Late President instead of looking for a political expressway/highway 2019 with Jonathan incarcerated.

And if they split they will soon discover that the geological play does not support the reservoir system in the Chad, Niger-Bida, NE basin as Nigeria is a big flush system which empties into the Niger Delta Basin.

That is why the Anambra and the Dahomey geologic play holds little finds.
