Petroleum minuster, Ibe Kachikwu recently made a startling revelation while speaking at the 2nd town hall meeting in Kaduna. Kachikwu told a shocked audience that he received threats from a Niger Delta militant.he said; “Last week, my phone number was published in Sahara Reporters and then I began to get millions of phone calls. One of the first phone calls I took not knowing who was calling me was from a militant somewhere and when I picked up the phone, he said ‘Are you the minister of petroleum’, I said yes. “He said I dey go blow pipeline tomorrow, and I said why would you do that my brother if you love Nigerians? He said ‘are you sure you are the minister’, I said yes. “Then he said for being so humble, I will drop the plan. That’s the kind of environment under which we operate.” This confirms that those numbers released by SH are the actual numbers of the ministers.....Time to call Fashola....he must tell me why Nepa doesnt want to bring light... http://dumebiifeanyi.com/petroleum-minister-ibe-kachikwu-reveals-threatened-militant-recently/ Cc: lalasticlala

Here are photos from the second Town Hall meeting to mark the one year anniversary of President Muhammadu Buhari‘s administration. 6 ministers spoke at the event namely the minister for petroleum, Ibe Kachikwu, Minister for Information and Communication, Lai Mohammed, Minister for Interior, Abdulrahman Dambazzau,Minister for Solid Minerals, Kayode Fayemi; the Minister of State, Budget, Zainab Abubakar and Minister for Communications,Adebayo Shittu. The governor of Kaduna state, Nasir el-rufai also spoke at the event. One speech that is worthy of note here is that of Lai Mohammed…He said that the recovered funds won’t be looted again.. He says ; Today, Nigerians are less tolerant of corruption and corrupt people than before. This is because we have raised the bar in the fight against this cankerworm. We have also brought to the attention of Nigerians the cost of corruption. Thanks to the sensitization campaign we launched earlier this year, Nigerians now know the cost of corruption, instead of just talking about it in the abstract. In other words, it is not just that money is stolen, but such action also deprive the people of the benefits that would have accrued to them if the funds have been spent for the purposes they were meant for. For example, those who shared in the 2.1 billion dollars meant for arms didn’t just take the money meant for the purchase of arms and ammunition for the military, they also contributed to sending many innocent soldiers and civilians to their early graves. Let me state here that the revelations from the 2.1 billion dollars are just a tip of the iceberg, because the total funds involved in the arms purchase is 15 billion dollars! Now, those who pocketed the money meant for upgrading the power infrastructure also succeeded in putting Nigerians in darkness. Of course the government is also diligently prosecuting those alleged to have looted our commonwealth. With the support of the judiciary, these cases will be disposed of expeditiously. Do you agree with him? http://dumebiifeanyi.com/photos-fgn-townhall-meeting-kaduna/ Cc: lalasticlala

An injured armed robber is currently one of the most wanted men in Ghana after his daring escape from a heavily guarded hospital in Sunyani, Ghana. 21-year old suspected armed robber, Kwaku Yeboah, who was under a 24-hour guard at the Sunyani Regional Hospital managed to outwit a security guard and escape. Yeboah was arrested for robbing a trader, Madam Kate Sam Wilson at gunpoint at Ohene Djan, a suburb of Abesim, near Sunyani on May 2, 2016. Yeboah and his accomplice who is currently at large, came to the lady's shop with a motorcycle. They parked the bike a few meters away from the lady's shop, before attacking and taking her handbag containing GH2,500 and other items at about 7.30pm that day. Luck ran out on Yeboah when an 18-year old boy who witnessed the robbery laid ambush near the motorbike and attacked Yeboah with a big stone. Yeboah, who was riding the motorbike and wielding a gun, fell off the bike. Yeboah's accomplice immediately took to his heels while Yeboah started struggling with the boy. A mob quickly gathered and Yeboah would have been lynched if not for the police's timely intervention. The criminal was rushed to Sunyani Regional Hospital because of the severity of the injuries he sustained as a result of the assault and was placed under a 24-hour guard. His jaw was broken. He escaped on Thursday by tricking the police constable guarding his hospital room. The victim, Kate Wilson, on learning of yeboah's escape, expressed fear and serious concern over her life and business. The Brong Ahafo Regional Police Command has given the police constable that guarded Yeboah a 10 day ultimatum to find him or face the full wrath of the rules and regulations of the Ghana police service. http://dumebiifeanyi.com/injured-armed-robber-escapes-hospital/

The relatives of late Prince Ademola Adeniji-Adele brutally assaulted his son-in-law and former chairman Amuwo-Odofin Local Government Council Area, Lagos State. Ayodele Adewale, during a condolence visit on Friday. The incident occurred at A Close, 712 Road Festac Town, residence of the late former Commissioner for Sports. Adewale says that he got information that there was a plan to attack him but he still went ahead to commiserate with the family. He added that some hoodlums and some members of the Community Policing Youth Vanguard were also involved in the attack on him and his orderly. He said; “On getting the information about the death of Prince Ademola Adeniji-Adele, members of my family met and decided that my father and mother should lead a team to commiserate with the family. My father went and on getting to their family house, he was attacked by Prince Adelani Adeniji-Adele who shouted at him that he should leave their house. As this was happening, my wife walked out of the house and confronted Prince Adelani telling him not to destroy her marriage or insult her father-in-law. She was joined by Dr. Adeniji-Adele, the eldest child of Oba Adeniji Adele, who had come out to beg my father while appealing to him to meet other members of their family. On that day, one of Adeniji-Adele’s sons had said he would lead boys to attack me should I visit the family house or at the funeral. I had concluded not to visit the place anymore until Chief Demola Seriki called me from Texas to greet my wife and also begged that I should visit the Adele family because of posterity. At about 10am on May 6, I got a telephone call from Chief Ajayi Bembe, one of the white cap Chiefs in Lagos that he was at the Adele’s residence and that I should come over. I replied that I have great respect for him but I was sorry because I had got information of a plan to attack me. So, I refused. He then came to my house with my wife begging me to follow him. He was with me for over an hour. Then, I followed him because I did not want to be seen as a difficult person. On arrival at the Adele family house, some hoodlums, members of the Community Policing Youth Vanguard attacked me and my NSCDC security guard.I called the Area E commander of the police for a back up and also informed the state party chairman Otunba Henry Ajomale, Senator Tokubo Afikuyomi, the SSS, Chief Seriki and Mr. Tayo Ayinde. Adewale’s land rover jeep suffered heavy damage as its back windscreen and left side window were smashed; his orderly from the NSCDC. Michael Olusegun, was dispossessed of two rifle magazines. The late prince Adeniji Adele died of a heart attack while he was exercising on a treadmill in India. http://dumebiifeanyi.com/relatives-adeniji-adele-attack-son-lawayodele-adewale-photos/ cc: lalasticlala

Emeka Ezeife,a former governor of Anambra state was embarrassed alongside Pat Utomi in Awka recently by officials of the department of state security service(DSS). They were stopped from speaking at a book launch by the officials who claimed to be acting on an order from the presidency. Below is an email he(Ezeife) sent out yesterday; “The President does not seem to have some conscience by doing certain things agains some people. He does it without thinking back as if there are some people that should be suppressed and some people who are above the law. Let me tell you what is happening now. Now I am in Awka, where young students decided to launch a book on the vision of our heroes past. They decided to use Odumegwu Ojukwu’s name in the launching. Some boys ago met me to play a role in the launching after I went to the University of Calabar to attend a very beautiful conference where Maitama Sule, Ken Nnamani, Ibrahim Mantu and others were in attendance. The same students organized something at Women Development Centre, Awka. But I arrived Awka at night, I started hearing that the Department of State Service (DSS) was discouraging the event in Awka, the students had paid the money for using the Women Development Centre. When I arrived at night, I went straight to the governor, Dr. Willie Obiano but the governor was not in town. I was only able to get through to the Chief of Staff and I asked him why some people would be treated this way; why the President continued to treat the South East as if he wants them to leave Nigeria. I do not know. Some of us are forced to ask that question. Nigeria is not Buhari, and Buhari is not Nigeria. I went to the state commissioner of Police in Anambra and discussed the issue with him, and of course it was not his business, but it is part of it because if there is violence, he would be involved in controlling it. But there can be no violence because the people are so peaceful; nobody was carrying gun or weapon and there was nothing in the launching that is against the government. I went to look for the state Director of the SSS, but I could not find him that night. I met some small young officers but the Anambra state Police commisioner was kind enough to send me the telephone number of the state Director of SSS whom I talked to. I explained all the circumstances and how peaceful everything was and I discovered I was one of the problems. Those who talked to the young boys told them they do not like me and Pat Utomi playing a role in the launching. I called the Director of SSS and he told me that the directive was from Abuja, that it was a directive from above and that there was nothing he could do. He said that I should talk to the DSS in Abuja and I knew that they all travelled with the President. I tried to reach the operation officer and his phone would ring and would not answer. This is what is called humiliation in a very dehumanizing way. If the launching was in praise of Ojukwu, what could be wrong in praising him in Anambra state. This is what I am talking about. You would look at the situation and you wonder that people who have no business of carrying Ak-47, carry the weopons and saying that they are taking care of cattles. And the DSS told a lie against Abia state, a lie that could cause ethnic crisis in the country. There is no investigation on that. They did not go to the Police; they just went out and accused the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB). Five people were involved in the kidnapping, two Igbo were involved and they said IPOB buried people. I do not know what is happening. We should not talk with bitterness too much.” http://dumebiifeanyi.com/former-anambra-governoremeka-ezeife-pat-utomi-disgraced-dss-awka/

Yesterday, President Muhammadu Buhari received Mr Yury Fedetov, the Executive Director of United Nations Office for Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and Under Secretary, United Nations Office in Vienna in Statehouse on 5th May 2016. Receiving the Executive Secretary of UNODC, Mr Yury Fedotov, President Buhari said that the process of recovering the stolen assets had “become tedious’’ to the consternation of many Nigerians.“We are looking for more cooperation from the EU, United States, other countries and international institutions to recover the nation’s stolen assets, particularly proceeds from the stolen crude oil. “It is taking very long and Nigerians are becoming impatient,” the President said. President Buhari told Mr. Fedotov that his government has worked very hard in the past 11 months to reverse the very negative global perception of Nigeria on corruption. “Our genuine efforts to deal with corruption and drugs have earned us international respect and this has encouraged us to do more’’. “We know that by fighting the scourge of drugs and corruption and rebuilding trustworthiness, integrity, good business practices, and imposing discipline on youths to avoid drugs, we are not doing a favour to the international community, we are doing a favour to ourselves, ’’ the President said. President Buhari also promised that his administration will work with the UN agency to rehabilitate young Nigerians who have been misled into consumption of illicit drugs and drug trafficking. Mr. Fedotov told President Buhari that UNODC has chosen Nigerian as a pilot country for support and strategic cooperation in the fight against drugs and corruption.
