Your resentment towards white and african americans is just that - YOUR RESENTMENT. It has nothing to do with d'banj, you probably should look deep into yourself and sort those deep hatred or enmity. Its wrong to project your complex issues on d'banj or any other person whatsoever, and that is what i see you doing... Gurl! you really need to CHILL.
Politics / Re: We Won't Spend N60bn On Mobile Phones For Farmers - Dr. Akinwumi Adesina by itsme2(m): 1:05am On Jan 05, 2013
Gej government! always scoring offside! Instead of buying these farmers mobile phones (which a large no of them cant even operate effeciently), why not set up 'agric-centric' radio stations or better still convert some of these useless radio nigeria stations to focus solely on agricultural programs (infos about crops, fertilizers and what have you) and other extension services they might want to provide, in our different local languages.* This i believe would even reach more farmers at little cost to d gov. Ah! Naija, i tire o!

Politics / Re: Moremi Shrine Must Replace That Church At Ooni Palace by itsme2(m): 11:42pm On Dec 22, 2012
I almost cudnt believe my eyes when i was reading this post from the op, i am highly disappointed to say the least. This is a blatant disregard for our culture, history and traditions. It seems we are proving more and more by the day that we are a lost race, even our so called elders and Obas are the biggest cheerleaders so to speak. For cryin out loud - what is a church doing in the palace of the alashe ikeji orisha? Ooni's palace in particular and the whole of Ife is the Yorubas 'mecca' which also shouldnt be descecrated by foreign gods. Every well meaning Yoruba son and daughter should stand up against this regardless of religious affiliation. It is totally unacceptable. We should strive to protect whats left of our almost shattered heritage.
Culture / Re: Is Rap A Blueprint For Black Self Destruction? by itsme2(m): 6:31pm On Oct 25, 2012
The thing is, am tired of people whinning endlessly about the present state of rap music when in actuality we can always ignore these rappers and with time they will fizzle out. We the consumers actually have more powers than we think. If the likes of lil wayne and d other supposd 'bad' rappers continue to sell out shows in arenas; i think it speaks volume too about us (the consumers). Lets speak with our wallets and stop 'patronizing' those rappers we are not comfortable with their messages. If we point 1 finger at them, the oda four fingers are pointing at us.

shymexx: White people/jews hijacked hiphop from us, changed the essence of our culture, and dumbed it down(through commercial rap) to kill the soul and message in rap music...

That's why I don't listen to these popular new school rappers except: Wale and Kendrick Lamar... I only listen to conscious underground rappers!

Culture / Re: Renaming The Niger Area: Top Priority Place That Should Change Names by itsme2(m): 2:10pm On Sep 11, 2012
The Op actually has some points, lets not try to trivilize this issue. It would be highly disingenous to act like this is a non issue. There is nothing bad with some cultural 'revolution' across the country, it might actually go a long way to positively ginger up our psyche which is almost non-existent now. We shouldnt always look at everything from an economic perspective (i.e how does this improve our standard of living blah blah blah) Our name is our identity, it is a very integral part of who we are as a people. Foreigners shouldnt define us (esp colonialist and oppressors) we should do that ourselves.
Politics / Re: Fulani Herdsmen Demand Land Rights In 36 States by itsme2(m): 1:00pm On Sep 09, 2012
We should all try to be very logical here. Considering the socio-political dynamics of Nigeria and Nigerians to be specific; it amounts to basic wishful thinking to assume that other ethnic nationalities of this country would allow any fulani any kind of grazing land on their ancestral lands under any guise whatsoever. The fulanis are the most unwelcome guest u can have in ur community. They are friggin expasionist and vry brutal 2 say d least - if their antecedents are anything to go by. In a nutshell, if they need lands, let them buy 'em jst like evry1 else. Any imposition of this grazing policy by the gov shud b resistd by any right-thinkin 'Nigerian'.
Ps: someone ws referin to d fact that we might nt b able to av our meals wit meats if we stop them, thats f:!ckin trivial 2 say the least. I guess citizens in oda countries al ova d world import meat from Nigeria. Meat wey b say 'poor' Nigerians no fit afford again sef.

Looking at it objectively, it would be out of place to say the north has been marginalised politically but they av bn marginalised economically, due to nobody's fault perse bt northerners retrogressive leanings..the fact is no part of the country has been given any extraordinary push by d FG, every region of d country worked their ass off 2 get wateva it is they r benefitn frm 2day. So whether CIMA,ACCA,ICAN,the edge comes from exp, awareness, people.

^^^ I kinda agree with you to a vry large extent, but cima also deals alot wit d fin reportin, taxation et.al though wit a great bias 4 mgt courses (went tru dier syllabus on their website), i dnt tink its dat far off frm ican or acca (though i might b wrong) so wat do u tink? Do u tink its nt good enough, resultin in its not-so-high popularity or its because its still relatively new compared 2 acca and ican? Thanx in advance.
Career / Prospect Of CIMA (Chartered Institute Of Management Accounting) Holders In NG? by itsme2(m): 10:25am On Jul 03, 2012
Hello nairalanders, Am an accounting undergraduate. Lately i have been considering starting my professional exams but av been in such as big dilemma on which one to start (cima, acca, ican). Personally, i would prefer CIMA. checked it out and it seems more well-rounded (not concentrating too much on the acct part but also going deep into mgt aspect of business) in a nutshell, My major question is,WHAT IS THE PROSPECT OF CIMA QUALIFIED PEEPS IN NIGERIA? Pls i need honest opinions or advice from people in d corporate world or related areas with real life experience. Thanks a bunch.

Politics / Re: Wole Soyinka Opposes UNILAG/MAU Renaming by itsme2(m): 11:57am On May 31, 2012
odumorun 1: I strongly disagree with Wole Soyinka on this.

The furore regarding the renaming of Unilag is elitist posturing of the worst kind, dressed up in the garb of democratic protestation. This has nothing to do with anger that the council of the university was not consulted. The university and its senate and governing council do not fund the school. The school is funded by the federal government from the federal purse representing millions of hardworking Nigerians most of whose kids will never enjoy the benfit of a university education let alone a prestigious one like Unilag.

The storm in a tea cup is another example of middle class Nigerians, particularly yoruba ones (the most snobbish and self regarding version and yes i am a Yoruba) refusing to be associated with a person largely revered by the poorer classes. The same happened when Uiversity of Ife was renamed in 1987 in honour of Obafemi Awolowo, when a few hundred students largely of middle class origin demonstrated their objection, while the poor people in the town, carpentars, shoe makers, tailors and others who benefited from awo's reforms celebrated.

This is all about a few priviledged and educated yoruba people wanting to retain what they see as an eleitis label placing them apart from the majority of the population whom they secretly despise. If the school had been named after Barack Obama would they be protesting, even if it was done without consultation - Of course they wouldn't - they'll probably be fantasising about getting an easy visa ride in the American embassy.

Wole Soyinka is a radical and progressive Nigerian but his elitism is a well known flaw which is why he has never inspite of his undoubted courage been able to buod a mass following for his ideas.

Unilag is funded by the majority of the people of this country, not the students or their lecturers. Most ordiany Nigerians respect the sacrifices people like abiola made - they, not the spolit middle class kids kicking up a fuss in Unilag are the majority. The noisy minority in Unilag should be ignored. they will son go back to their Ipads

If they don't like the name when they receive their degrees let them rip them up. They don't own the school, the people do -i've not seen any demonstrations in mushin, shomolu, bere or sabongari against it.

If wole is not happy let him write a poem about his fury. He is a great man, but on this occasion he is wrong
May God bless U ab undantly! Its totally insulting 2 Abiola's memory nd d millions of Nigerians that stood solidly behind him during d June 12 struggle! Ti ore ba pe, asiere a gbagbe! No matter d illegality perpetuated in d re-naming of d university, i personally think it is worth being overlookd.
Politics / Re: Sovereign National Conference: Opening A Pandora’s Box by itsme2(m): 3:23pm On Feb 16, 2012
@op Funny write-up there, it seems to me that d writer of ds article is tryin so hard 2 convince even himself, seriously, pretending to support d SNC by 'advertisin' its consequences or aftermath so to speak, which is wat anti-SNC agitators do best nowadays is highly laughable or do they think d people dat came up wit d idea of an SNC havent weighd d pros nd d cons? Buh i tell u they must have knwn the former outweighs d latter.
Ps- being pro-SNC doesnt equal to being anti-NORTH.
Politics / Re: Nuhu Ribadu Disowned By A.C.N by itsme2(m): 9:36am On Feb 09, 2012
Dats d best ACN could do nw, atleast to distance themselves from him, i mean, it is highly irresponsible of Ribadu to have taken up dat job, i knw he said he took d job in hs own capacity blah blah blah, but 4 cryn out loud he s nt jst an opposition, he was d presidential candidate of dat party (ACN),, besides d last time i checkd we r nt running a unity govnment, so he'd better move 2 d PDP cos clearly u cant serve 2 masters at a time.

Ps- i knw ds politicians dont stand by any ideology whatsoever buh dey shld pretend lyk dey do sometimes!
