lol they denied it during the presidential primaries quickly because they knew it could heat up the polity. Then they used a VP placeholder to ease sentimental people in and now it is here. By 2024, people will still be here analyzing how elections were rigged because at that time they'll be fighting to accept that all the sentimental analysis ended in the dustbin.

Buhari selected bla bla and lost. You use him as the standard of a man who "understands" Nigeria. Yet he lost. Then you want someone else who wants to win to follow the path of the man who lost. Yet the same people who don't like Buhari's failed govt, want some of his policies to be adopted - even policies that clearly failed.

You people have not yet truly accepted if this Muslim vs Muslim is paining you because APC will lose (which should make you happy) or because you know this is a game of chess and BAT moved the right piece in the right way.
You have not been following.

I've always maintained that Tinubu will win except a miraculous merger of some sort happens between PDP, LP & NNPP so you might have quoted the wrong person.

What I also believe is that Tinubu has sacrificed his S.West votes for that of the North East.

People like you believe Tinubu will win the S.West with bloc votes regardless of the Muslim Muslim ticket because Christians in the S.West will still vote him. It simply will not happen and that is the reality on ground and not your feelings thousands of miles away.

I think APC might have underestimated the current backlash the muslim-muslim ticket is receiving.

If only PO, Kwakwanso and Atiku can just find a way to unite.

Twitter is proof that even within Living Faith, some people will not comply with Oyedepo's political directives.

So I don't need to ask church members. I lived in the SW when I was in Nigeria and if you are familiar with some of my posts you will know that I am quite conversant with Christianity and its tenets in Nigeria. Believe me.

Majority of the most popular men of God will support a PO candidacy under the guise of APC presenting muslim v Muslim candidates. However, when the voting is actually done and counted they too will realize how divided their churches are.

RCCG is dependent on what part of Nigeria or city you enter do you agree, why?

How much are you trying to pay? You know most banks have put a limit on dollar transactions per month. First bank sent me a mail sometime ago saying that their limit has been reduced to $20 cheesy

To your question, you can get a dollar master card but you have to source for the dollar yourself at black market rates.

Are you implying Muslims are not the majority in the SouthWest States I mentioned?
The Ogun state you mentioned is highly debatable. If Muslims are more, the ratio will be 52:48 or something of that nature.

I still think Tinubu will win but like izzou mentioned, you guys are in for a shocker. There will be no bloc votes coming from the South West.

People tend to think christian yorubas will not vote an Atiku or Obi over Tinubu. What they forget is there's another option which is them not voting at all

Difficult to say. The vehicle is not in customs database. You have to get valuation for it. If the vehicle has sailed, ensure you get the valuation before it arrives.

I would budget 2.6m if in your shoes. Just my rough estimate, it may be more or less ( unlikely)

Removing subsidy at any time soon will only lead to greater crisis than the one witnessed after the end SARS protests turned bloody. The people are already close to breaking point.

I go out everyday and see people barely able to keep their mind due to high prices of commodities. Just this current fuel scarcity alone, u see people waiting in bus stops unable to afford ₦100 to ₦200 increment in transportation costs. They wait hours hoping for buses that will call the usual price will come around.( U just need to give them a lift and engage them for u to know what people are going through)

Imagine their are graduates who work for banks and other financial services firms as contract staff and they get paid 80k per month. People like this will pay transport fare daily, feed themselves daily, most likely have parents who sent them to school out of nothing and who now expect them to send them something at the end of the month, they have to save monthly towards their next rent payment, and other sundry expenses.....People like that are barely surviving.

How will such people that are at lesst still underemployed adjust to what will come after subsidy removal? Then the army of unemployed youths are there. I usually shake my head anytime I see people on my whatsapp status and other social media accounts celebrating passing out of NYSC and talk about Wishing themselves luck in the " Favor Market".....Favor market where some organizations are cutting down operating hours be use of diesel price, shey na that organization go come get budget to recruit fresh new graduates?

Removing subsidy might just lead to military coup cos the citizens will surely revolt and we will be close to anarchy.

The problem of subsidy has always been that the government has been unable to monitor and put checks & balances in place to ascertain who gets what. I posted a proposal of Prof. Ndubuisi Ekekwe the Nigerian-American scholar who was proposing a model he drew up to monitor the level of actual fuel we consume and to track it's delivery all across the country. Till date nobody in government has even given it a thought. I think every government just pay lip service to the fact that they wan to tame the subsidy demon but none has made any serious efforts concerning it.
I actually think people graduating now are quite lucky. Organizations will be forced to employ with the the way people are resigning these days.

First bank for instance has lost a lot of their IT staff that they had to do a special salary review for them with the hope of keeping the ones still there and prevent mass resignation of the ones coming.

As of now, they are massively recruiting IT staff.

Most companies are expecting mass resignation in September when schools outside the country will resume. Its actually a good time to be a job seeker fresh from NYSC.

Someone has to fill the gap and do the job

But will Wike be willing to continue investing in an opposition when 2027 will reach another Atiku or Tambuwal will show up and win as long as they are able to share dollars. You know how expensive opposition financing is. Now that he wont be in govt

Imagine how much Wike invested in PDP struggles in the last 4yrs plus the primaries and what did he get back in return?

E get wetin Akpabio see wey make am grab his chance in APC instead of financing opposition when he doesnt have direct access to state funds
Well, like I said earlier, with these guys you can't be sure of anything. Make we dey see how events unfold

I hope fanatics of PO are following. Even if he wins, this is how Fayose and Fayemi and the others will visit him and decamp to Labour Party. Back to square one.

If PDP wins 2023, In 4 to 8yrs, the VP Okowa will be preparing himself for that position. So will Wike have enough clout to fight Okowa in 4-8yrs time?

If PDP doesn't win, which money will Wike use to campaign and buy delegates in 4-8yrs time. Its not easy to spend money anyhow when you are not in govt
Except PDP finds a miraculous way to bring back PO and Kwankwaso, they will not win in 2023. Atiku himself must know this already.

Wike and a lot of PDP stalwarts also know this. Infact, I watched an interview of Kasim Afegbua on Channels and he pretty much admitted the same. PDP will lose the election.

If Atiku and Okowa contest and lose, I don't see Atiku winning the primary in 2027 even if he contests. Okowa is a nonentity no one regards even in his own state.

The road is quite clear for Wike. With his stooge in office, he has enough money to contest any election.

You never show your hand in politics until you have carried all stakeholders along both in PDP, and reconciled with the APC like Tonye Cole, not to mention Amaechi. So even if he was planning decamp, he wouldn't tell you until all parties are on the same side. Make he no be like Amaechi that decamped and lost the whole structure of Rivers State in so doing.

If Goodluck his political Godfather can decamp, decamp is not beyond Wike, but he will be powerless if he decamps and the whole House of Assembly in Rivers doesn't move with him
Wike wants to be president. If he decamps to APC, he will have to wait for 16 years to actualise his dream. First he has to wait for BATs tenure to end, he will wait another 8 years for power to shift to the North before it comes back to the South. There is no assurance APC will even give him the slot by then.

If he stays in PDP, he has another realistic chance to contest 4 or 8 years from now.

That is why I don't see Wike defecting but you can never be sure of anything with these guys.

My point exactly. The money saved will be stolen. Corruption and insecurity have to be tackled first. Then you focus on developing infrastructure that will support job creation and local industries.

THEN you can start SLOWLY reducing the subsidy over a number of years. It can't be a sudden change or else the country will burn.
I just paid a ridiculous amount of money to clear a 10 year old vehicle at the port. The most annoying part for me is knowing the money will be used to finance the extravagant lifestyle of one of our yeyebrities hawking puna up and down to politicians.

Well then if govt turns around and say the main reason why we are not investing in Education, Health, Infrastructure, Economy is because the entire budget we are spending on subsidy. Then what will you say?
I will say the same thing I've said here, I don't trust them to invest in Education, Health and all the others even if subsidy is removed.

They will only have more money to steal. The accountant general for instance will no longer be stealing 80bn. 200bn will be the goal.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Itsrm(m): 2:41pm On Jul 08, 2022

Subsidy is an avenue to steal money.

What subsidy in basic terms mean is that oil in global market is selling for N500 per litre , govt buys at that rate and sell it to Nigerians at say N300. absorbing a N200 loss.

This is the easiest money to steal as we have seen many administration is for middlemen to claim they are bringing in oil, bill govt and deliver less or nothing

Those who are familiar with the West African subregion will tell you they mostly depend on the cheap petroleum product in Nigeria to run their own economy. So instead of getting their oil from the global market at the regular price, they will rather smuggle from Nigeria. The marketers in Nigeria will also prefer to sell abroad to Benin or Togo. since they can buy for N300 per liter from Nigerian govt and sell to Togo at close to N500

On the other side, if Nigeria is exposed to global prices, the populace wont be able to afford it

So the choice is continue subsidy and give opportunity for people to steal
They will steal either ways.

The difference is that now the masses can benefit, when it's removed, no more benefit.

If subsidy is removed today, I can bet anything in the world that we won't see the effect. The money being saved will be stolen.
