I'm so disgusted by the way we handle religious issue in this country.

I'll still vote Buhari come 2019. Not because he's done anything for me but because I feel safer having him there, than having someone of another religion there.

I have come to understand that as much as an average notherner has little love for anything asides Islam so is an avenger easterner or South southerner with Christianity.

As a Yoruba muslim, I can only secure my long term survival by being doggedly fanatical about religious criteria when pitching my tenet with any political candidate.
You have always being fanatic, you don't just have access to guns and bombs. With my experience with the radical muslims on Nigerian campuses, Nigeria is sitting on a keg of gunpowder.

Simple.
You are right, but I think he got his inspiration from Buhari who defends the most corrupt African head of state, Sani Abacha.

It's funny how getting pregnant became the greatest achievement of a role model of single feminists grin

I keep saying this; No matter how you deceive yourself on media, you'll still log out to face reality. cheesy

She's a proof to social media wanna-be feminists that no matter how rich, aggressive, exposed, intelligent and brave a woman can be, she can never survive without a diick. You all must be humbled by a man.
First, she has never stated that she is a feminist, well I guess you think it is
a sin for a woman to be rich.
Second, her greatest dream was getting pregnant not becoming a wife.
I don't think you can you survive without women since 99% of your posts are about women.

From the 2 audio clips, I can bet my 3rd testicle that she actually failed the course.

She should tread carefully.YES she failed, YES Mr Lecturer requested for 5 rounds.THAT is a strong case already.

If the scripts are re-marked & she truly failed, her credibility would be damaged. If I was the lecturer, I would even ask them to dig up her undergrad scripts if she graduated from OAU

Your obsession with attention was given away by the use of bold face font.
It would have been better if you had posted something meaningful and not
some meaningless rant that will make cavemen seem intelligent.

Please women learn to control your tongue. Not all men can take insults, manipulation, lies and disgrace. My ex wife annoyed me to the extent that i gave her a hot slap. I have never laid my hands on a woman in my whole life. I am a peaceful and perfect gentle man people admire but I didn't know what pushed me. She continued in her troublesome ways..insulting, disgracing me and demeaning me in all possible ways in front of friends and her people. I just woke up one morning and took a long walk....packed my things, just clothes and left the marriage for good. I am not a rehabilitation specialist for the mentally challenged all in the name of marriage. I deserve a good life!! Please flee from narcissistic and toxic relationships before the devil use you like this story!!
The wife beaters and monsters are already here. Why not move back to your mother's house since you
apparently can't live with others?
It is this man on front page today, it could be you next time, so take my advice and live alone.

MahatmaGhandi:
I disagree, it has nothing to do with him being an egotistic dictator, did you read about the attitude during visits. His kids were not out of school all he wanted was live within his means and there is nothing wrong with that. A man is the head of his home and should be able to make key decisions on the direction of his family. A woman should not marry a man in whose leadership skills she does not believe.
The attitude of the parents are like those who were pressured into accepting their
daughter's husband, such husband should expect such behaviors and never be surprised by it,
I am confident they have displayed such behavior before his marriage.

The bold is the problem in many homes. Many men are trying to replicate a model
marriage that doesn't exist in reality and it always leads to disappointment.
Marriage is never black and white, if you live near close elderly couples you can ask
them about it. There is no decision that must be unilaterally taken by the man
unless he is an expert in such field. "A man is the head of the home" is a meaningless
cliche because at the end of the day, some of his decisions must be rejected regardless
of his financial status. Even in the old days where the relationship was more or less
a master-slave one, husbands still get spurned by their wives on some particular "key"
decisions. When some wives are said to be obedient, it is not because they always
obey their husband.

Women don't marry because they need leaders, they marry for security, that is how it has always been.

In this particular case, would he have felt slighted if his children got scholarships into the same school his
in-laws had suggested? No of course, he won't even think twice about it.
His desire to prove his independence to in-laws who don't care is the main cause of the problems when he doesn't need to prove anything.
Even if he becomes a Zuckerberg tomorrow, the in-laws won't stop "advising" their daughter at least in non-financial matters
because that is who they are.

You are the pefect example of the "woman-type" people have been saying every man should avoid....you really need to work on your psychic....riches and prosperity isn't a function of smartness or brilliance , therefore none is to be blamed for coming short in that regard.
I hope your intending suitors know what they are gunning for.
They have nothing to fear so long as they are not marrying above their reach.

Most men can relate to this and it is the silent reason for most seperation and most ladies see nothing wrong with it. They will openly pick their fam over you and expect you to pick them over your fam which some men can easily balance out. But then he starts getting cold cos he cannot tell his wife that he has been insulted and belittled by her fam and siblings. Hard knock life.
Most Nigerian men don't pick wives over family so do the women. Only a dumb man will be insulted and belittled
by the wife's family regardless of his financial status. What kind of familiarity would cause that rubbish?

i woukd advise you to have a knowledge of wIht you stand to lose in the event of a divorce. How would you be parting with if the marriage doesn't go as planned? Also, not having a Registry wedding pits you on firmer ground in the sense that you don't have to walk on eggshells, compromising your manhood just because you don't want to lose out in a divorce.
This doesn't apply in Nigeria, registry or no registry marriage and the countries where it applies
not registering a marriage won't save you from the law.
In short, you are better off having a baby mama than getting married to an "enemy"
who you constantly have to monitor.
Family › Re: Lessons From Marrying From A Rich Family by ivolt: 12:07pm On Feb 17, 2018
The problem I see with the OP is that he expected a command and control marriage where
he issues orders that must be followed. There is nothing wrong with this mindset, however,
those with the above mindset should endeavor to marry women who they are sure will be
"submissive", which are often those whose survival depends on the husband. It is easy to
think that the challenges OP went through was because his in-laws were rich but this isn't
necessarily true.
Many parents who are way poorer than the husband still exert undue influence
in their daughter's home. A wife would seek her parent's advice when she doesn't trust
the husband and he has shown signs of being unreliable. Otherwise, most wives would
pretend everything is fine even if it is not.

The OP advised that men avoid marrying from a rich home, but I think that is an incomplete
advice. Men who don't want their ego bruised should marry below their means, so they can
exert their power with money and ensure they keep their wives dependent forever lest they "tear eye".

Our leaders aren't patriotic at all. Tomorrow now they'll expect me to come out and vote them into power, when they can't even marry nameless citizens.
Would you marry a nameless citizen if you are in their shoes?
Most people marry from their social circles, it is even more important for women
to never marry below their status or the marriage is toast.
