PoliticsRe: Why Nigeria May Fight Niger. What we have to lose if we don't. by ivolt: 8:54pm On Aug 02, 2023
FatherOfJesus:
if federal government does not pacify southeast and resolve security issues in that region, FG may face great challenges with this project owing to the fact that the resources is mostly from the region.

SouthEast my not be as kind as we southsouth and allow you take their resources for free without addressing their concerns.
Many events will unfold with time
There is nothing the FG has to pacify the South East except outright secession.
Even the presidency post is not considered enough for many politically active Igbo.

Here is the truth though, unlike the SS that can ship crude oil directly to buyers,
even as an independent country, the SE will have no choice than to use the existing pipeline
which goes through the Sahel and pay unfriendly fees to its erstwhile neighbor.

South Sudan is a good case study.
What you have not fully grasped is that governments do not reason or react like ordinary citizens.

The gas project is Imo state are not for export yet. They are used to power power plants.

When the cheaps are down and we can grab the FG on their balls, we will respond if FG does not do the needful. We know that shell and seplat just completed their Maga plants, we are waiting for when it will start operations.
We are not southsouth
When you say "we", I hope you are not banking on Ipob?
All the protection they are enjoying from the west would disappear.
That is when you will realize that "human right" is just a political talk by the west.

You might want to check history about the resource war in Africa.
Checkout who always loose when they challenge the national government.

Imo state has the largest gas reserve in Nigeria and we won't allow you send it to Europe to develop Lagos and Kano. It's why I'm supporting Russia to cut this supply. If possible, they can help us divide this country because gas is the future.
There are many gas project going on in Imo state.
Put your money where your mouth is and start blowing them up!

Everybody got interests here, it's not like democraticallt elected presidents in Africa are not usually western puppets.
I don't care about everybody's interest. That's their problem.

If western countries are major on oil and gas seller and they want to seize control
of our gas pipeline, I would be supporting Russia to take over!
I don't reason like you guys.

FatherOfJesus:
Well, I forsee serious uncertain hard times ahead. The west really do not care about you either, they just want your resources.
It will be a case of two elephants fighting and the grass suffering
It is not about who cares.
Nations aren't children to be cared for by others.

It is about economic interest.
Russia is an oil and gas seller, so is Nigeria. We are competitors in this space.
If Russia has its way, it will not allow Nigeria or any Africa country to corner its customers(Europe).

Russian arms industry spending is currently huge, when Ukrainian war ends,
it will want normalization of economic ties with Europe eventually.
This Trans-Sahara pipeline could be an impediment.

Despite the "Green Energy" rhetoric in the US, Biden approved more oil
prospecting licenses for companies. The oil market will saturate in few years time and no
country can afford to be fighting their buyers.

FatherOfJesus:
If the situation in Niger is not stabilized according to the standards of the West, there will be nothing for the Trans-Saharan gas pipeline, which according to the contractor's plans was supposed to supply the 🇪🇺 EU countries with as much as 30 billion cubic meters.

I think Russia is trying to use Niger to frustrate this supply to Europe so Europe can continue to buy gas from them.
Some kids have been crying that Nigeria shouldn't be involved
because they want almighty Wagner to win in Niger!

Only an idiotic oil economy will allow Russia who is a competitor in the gas industry
to become its neighbor without having a leverage over them.
You either resist them or you become a puppet.

That’s how a peaceful protest will turn violent with this confrontation.

This group that APC has refused to caution will one day become an uncontrollable group. They should continue.

PS: Someone once argued on the forum that Asari formed the group to secure our oil pipelines 😂😂
So I ask, this his trip to confront NLC in Abuja is the so called pipeline, right? 😂😂😂
I have checked the video from beginning to the end.
Please, where is the confrontation?

Ecowas cannot do jack now..

Almost all the front line countries have one serious internal problem or the other...

Besides there is no well-respected figure among the crop of leaders superintending the various member countries at the moment...

Tinubu has serious legitimacy question known to almost everybody on the continent...

The Ghana president Addo has led his country to recession and is increasingly unpopular...

The leaders of Senegal and Cote d'Ivoire have their hands full with opposition to attempts to manipulate their respective constitutions to allow them exceed prescribed constitutional term limits.

Ecowas is at its lowest ebb now, no doubt...

the military built first Niger bridge, if you look at both bridges, you will agree with me that the first one has more quality.
I don't deal in confusion.
What do you mean by quality?

The military upgraded Apapa port and during military regime, all ports in Nigeria were functioning maximally.
This is nonsense.
Even if you combine all the military regimes together, they
cannot rival the economic expansion of Apapa under civilan
rule since 1999.
Importers will understand what I am saying.
List the ports that are not functioning.

These are simple things that this wicked democratic government cannot do
Ordinary Lagos state government built Lekki deep seaport, Akwa ibom is also
in the works.
So there is nothing special about port.
The military did nothing for Nigeria.
They ruined the country with lack of vision.
Gowon once said the problem of Nigeria was how to spend money
during the oil boom.
Yet, after 9 years in power, he had nothing to show for it.

In Nigeria, the millitary built 4 refineriesgrin

In the 24yrs of democracy na only private refinery dem see commission grin

The Third Mainland bridge we are cruising today was built by the same guys
Stop lying, the military didn't build 4 refineries.
Only one refinery was completed under the military when Obasanjo was in charge.

BTW, Buhari built second Niger bridge.
Therefore, he should have been declared a life president.

I hope you don't have a voters card.

PoliticsRe: Is Tinubu's Intervention In The Niger Coup The Right Decision? by ivolt: 6:35pm On Aug 02, 2023
Yes.
Coup is like a contagious disease.
If you ignore it because you are currently healthy, it will infect and destroy you too,

The coupist are all illiterate liars.

Sudan Coupist: We took power to restore security and economy.
Today, Sudan is in a civil war under the saint coupist.

Mali coupist: We took power to restore security and economy.
Today, large part of Mali is still under rebels and jihadist.
The economy is actually worse. If not for humanitarian aid from the
west, millions would starve.

The same goes for the other coupist.

Propaganda here is that Niger coupist is severing economic ties with Nigeria with the dam project
when it is actually the pro-Nigeria former civilian governments who planned and initiated the project.

Well, I am not completely against the military take over, since Africans don't know how to practice democracy, only to the benefit of the whites.

A military take over in the 21st century could prove profiting to the people of Niger because such a leader could be visionary as he is fighting against several opposition both home and abroad.
Stop the joke.
Do Africans know how to practice military rule?
Visionary?
Do you think governance is by headline?

Don't let anybody deceive you with grammar.
Modern economy is strictly based on trade.
When you are barred from trading with half of the world economy(the West) and your neighbors
as a result of coup.
Your only saving grace will be abundant natural resources such as Iran, if not, you are condemned
to eternal poverty.

BTW, there is no difference between yesterday and today's coupist, they usually illiterate,
ignorant and full of themselves.
Sudan coup even led to an ongoing civil war.
PoliticsRe: Niger Republic Electricity Independent Of Nigeria By 2025? by ivolt: 6:10pm On Aug 02, 2023
Blue3k:
Lol, I love how Nigeria is pushing the Coupist in Niger to get wise. After this, what's stopping them from building more dams or even a nuclear power plant. It will probably signal to the other nations upstream you can't trust Nigeria. I doubt cutting their electricity supplies will force a regime change nit it will definitely force a policy change regarding self sufficiency in vital areas..
You failed to mention the highlight.
This is a 2021 news so it has nothing to do with the current coupist or current events
or trust for Nigeria.
This dam is being co-funded by the French, the French the coupist are trying to get rid of.
I won't even be surprised if the company handling the project is French.

I opened the thread to read your piece as usual but this one is totally out of place.
Don't join the propaganda team please.

Another one reasoning like a child.
What is the relationship between Ukraine and Nigeria?
You mean Russia has the right to invade Ukraine to remove democratically elected president
but Ecowas shouldn't restore Niger's constitution?

If Nigeria invade, your god Putin dare not lift a finger or
he will become a complete pariah.

When 50 African leaders went to Russia, it is not because of their selfish interest.
