Nigeria let the good people of Niger Republic breathe, lift those sanctions on that innocent country that's still under French colonization.
LocalStandard1:
grin grin grin grin ;Dhahaha lol
Unna still dey dream that thing?

Bazoum will be sent to exile soon. Zimbabwe, Uganda, Iran, Russia, China even this same Nigeria is under some kind of sanction from the West, who has died? huh

Dey there dey chop Western countries' faeces, we are in a multi-polar world now sanctions do not work anymore. And the day Nigeria tries to invade Niger not only will Nigeria never remain the same but Nigerians will become the enemy of African countries and the most hated group among Black people.
Most African people are with Niger, even worldwide hell even some Nato/EU countries like Italy are secretly with them.

The war mongering and oppressive USA and the West are setting a trap for Africa, go and dive in.
You are the one crying and begging that sanction should be removed and at the same time saying sanctions don't work.
How confused can you be?

the African saviour in charge of Mali has sent them packing.

France is not Niger republic's largest trade partner.
It makes up just 14% of the country's total trade.
Stop being gullible!
Foreign AffairsRe: It's Hitting Hard: Senior Niger Politicians Beg Tinubu To Lift Sanctions by ivolt:
This must be fake news.
I saw a video where a guy on Youtube said that
Wagner has sent billions of dollars, missiles, hundreds of reaper drones and food to support Niger coup plotters.
He said the palliatives was secretly moved in big trucks under the cover of the night last week.

PoliticsRe: Government, Cleric Warn MURIC Against Causing Religious War In Osun by ivolt:
JAMO84:
When CAN speak for Christians, they are doing their job, when MURIC speak for Muslims, they're terrorists. DOUBLE STANDARD HYPOCRITES.
I have no problem with Muric speaking for muslims, though I don't believe it does in all cases.
I have no problem with Muric endorsing muslim candidates or campaigning
for them. In fact, Muric is free to mobilize against candidates they don't want.

But any objective person who read Muric's press releases knows that it definitely has an hidden agenda.
About 90% of the release are filled with divisive diatribes while the main issue takes a tiny part.
Muric turns every issue to religious fight even when the offender and the "victim" are both muslim
or the issue has no connection with religion.

Muric dragging christians over Elrufai's delay in confirmation despite
that both Ribadu and DSS DG who are responsible for the delay are both muslims.
This is the same Muric that lied that Wike demolished a mosque and threatened
to mobilize against him not too long ago.
Why not face the men in charge of DSS and NSA?

I remember the issue of Lautech student hijab when Muric went to town blaming christians,
claiming victim and making threats as usual. Only for us to realise that the accused lecturer
who attempted to enforce nursing uniform is actually well-known muslim in the school.

Muric may claim to be fighting for Muslims
but during the Lagos election, Muric didn't support or endorse Jandor
who was the only frontline muslim.

Muric tried to recruit Imams against Seyi Makinde because of fallout with the then deputy.
Muric turned the purely political issue to "persecution" of muslims.
Is Seyi the first governor to oust his deputy?
How many deputies did Tinubu have when he was governor?
I can't remember anybody issuing religious threats then.

To the main topic, anyone familiar with Osun politics will know that Muric is just crying for nothing.
Osun does not vote based on candidates religion.
What is alarming to some of us is that one of these days, some uninformed person may decide to
start physical attacks to "defend" muslims based on Murics vituperations. You just need one
person to start the fire.

Last time I checked, Nigeria produces 3000MW of power, producing the epileptic power that we've grown so used to. Remove 20 percent from that figure and tell me again that we don't have a serious problem.
Noper, the percentage is based on maximum output 5000MW.
Remember that the only thing that matters is critical sectors and businesses getting electricity, not residential homes
since we don't have winter over here.
Moreover, Niger dam will only reduce not eliminate Kanji.
Shiroro will also come on board.

Do you have any material referring to this project? If that is true, then Nigeria is in serious trouble.
Here is an article:
https://www.barrons.com/news/niger-speeds-up-efforts-to-build-first-hydroelectric-dam-01632497409

No, Nigeria is not in trouble.
This is not the 1950s, Kanji dam as at today provides about 20% of Nigeria's electricity,
a substantial part of which is already exported.

It will have an effect but not something we can't handle.
PoliticsRe: Muslim Community Demands Review Of Lagos Commissioner-nominees by ivolt: 9:11pm On Aug 08, 2023
When I saw Daily Trust, Muric's favorite media house.
I expected to see this name Ishaq Akintola, Director, Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC)
and I wasn't disappointed.

He probably cajoled, begged and manipulated the others
to show up for the press conference since nobody took him serious the first time.

Sanwo-Olu should not change that list to imaginary 60% else that will set a very dangerous precedent
that you can easily blackmail government to alter appointments ratio.

This is a democracy.
Anyone not satisfied should vote for GRV in the next election.

If they're suspended from ecowas you'll relax? You're OK with eastern neighbors being a dictorship but not your northern neighbor because they're in a trade block. I agree it's the current year.
I am not one of those who gets riled up because someone gets called a "dictator".
Cameroonian leadership is civilian.

A 40 year dictatorship is OK as long the dictator wears Civilization clothes? I guess all the military boys have to do is run a fake elections for 40 years and you guys will relax? Long live President for Life Bia.
Military transitioning to democratically elected isn't new.
Yes, is okay if a coup plotter were to organize election and win.

There is a reason most military coupists don't run election to become democrats.
If it were that simple, 100% of them will do it.

You're still very distant from the crux of the matter.

Study that map, do more findings on what effects countries like ours are suffering due to the closure of Air spaces in military controlled countries currently. Then come back let's have this conversation.
The crux of the matter is the wrong headline.
The map requires no study.
If you still don't get it even with my analogy, then there is nothing to discuss.
TravelRe: Current Status Of Flight Traffic Over Africa - Total Chaos by ivolt: 4:55pm On Aug 08, 2023
BoldBrainz:
I don't want to believe you don't know how to read and interprete maps.

The fact that West and Central Africa are losing air traffic is a cause for plenty concern. What you consider to be "organisation" in flight routes is actually a dearth of air traffic due to closed air spaces in troubled regions of Africa. That is going to translate to dwindling revenues in the aviation sector and increased flight fares in countries that are remotely affected by the restrictions being imposed by other countries.

And what you consider to be "chaotic" flight paths, translates to increased aviation activities in those regions which leads to increased revenues for those regions. As it stands, International flights originating from Nigeria have drastically reduced because the flight paths have been rerouted to Togo and Ghana, to avoid a situation where civilian commercial planes will be shot down should they venture into restricted air spaces.

It is bad news for us as a country! Very bad news.
I don't want to believe you don't know the meaning of "chaos".
During covid-19, there was little to no traffic in Lagos.
It will be foolish for someone to have tagged the empty roads as "chaotic".

If you want to say air traffic has almost disappeared, that is exactly what you should say.
In English, words have meaning, you can't just attach your own subjective meaning.

No direct flights over Niger which is the shortest path from Europe to Africa. Aircraft are taking a detour around Niger .

Think first before talking nonsense.
Why didn't you think before posting?
From your incoherent rant, it seems you are trying to say that flight path are now longer.
How does that make it a chaos.

RomanceRe: In Defense Of Polygamy, And How It Benefits Women The Most by ivolt:
FalseProphet1:
So how come hundreds of ladies are always disturbing me in my spiritual center and other spiritual centers and churches for prayers concerning a husband.

Whether you choose to believe it or not, the ratio of eligible men to available women is very low. Because there are millions of men in their 30s who don't have jobs, so they're not even thinking about marriage. Whereas their female counterparts are there waiting for husbands.

This means that for every 10 available women, there's only one eligible man. So they'll have to fight for him, and even if he married one out of the 10, he'll still be able to continue having affairs with the remaining 9, because there's a serious shortage of eligible men to marry them.

That's the reality on ground.

This I have seen.
Truly the population difference belief is totally a myth.
You are confusing financially stable men with men in general.
Men and women are equal in population ratio.
Those women disturbing you aren't looking for jobless and penniless men for marriage.
No woman will be single if they don't have financial standards for the men they want.

I don't know why these fraudulent democracies carry Niger's matter for head.

What gives any government legitimacy is it's popular acceptance by the people which we have seen in Niger.

When they were all crying about the massive corruption, suffering and poverty like we're experiencing here, these polithiefcians did nothing about it.
Naturally, they are bound to look elsewhere for their salvation since democracy has failed them.
Dexy4yah:
Since the citizens are ok with the military rule, why trying to enforce the former leader on them?
All these ignorant kids.
Which people are you talking about?
Some ethnic group who couldn't win through electoral process carried out a coup
to seize power.
Anybody who can think knows that in a multi-ethnic country the beneficiary of coups
will have support among their ethnic group.
This is how civil wars start in Africa.

The couist organize a show protest for you guys and you fell for it without thinking.
