Ningishzida:
I believe the West have started paying off your leaders to turn Nigeria into the next Ukraine.
Nigerians should start asking what was Tinubu's mission in France when he was receiving kisses from all the French women undecided

Recently, France has been loosing their neo-colonies to military coup due to these neo-colonies switching allegiance away since the war in Ukraine. And which African country decided to be the Judas by supporting / enforcing the Western 'democracy' upon these neo-colonies? Nigeria!

Hopefully Nigeria doesn't become the next Ukraine receiving arms from the US to go fight other African countries in the name of 'reinstating Democracy'. These other African countries fighting for their right to self determination are willing to unite to fight back, and they will have the fill military support from Russia as well.
Another illiterate hungry blogger.
What does Niger have to do with Ukraine?
Do you mean Russia will invade Nigeria?

only a very dumb and even more stuupid leader than buhari will get involved militarily in the niger republic . sending soldiers to go and die in niger will definitely and automatically start military revolt in Nigeria , this nation is already facing her own most serious economic and security issues and the nation security agencies has been stretched to the limit . now pushing men to go and die in niger will definitely end this tinubu government . he should just leave them to sort out their own internal issues .
I have never seen a people so confused.
You support coup in Niger but not in Nigeria.
Be consistent for once.

You are extremely anti-Tinubu and always wish him bad.

Shouldn't you be happy that he is about to meet his waterloo?
Here you are convulsing and begging that he shouldn't invade.

I understand your fear, you don't want your god Putin to be humiliated in Niger.

What exactly is better about Abacha and Babangida?
What was the crime rate before they took office and after the left?
What was the inflationary rate before they took office and after they left?
This pedestrian reasoning from many of you folks is nauseating.

If you had voted for a sane government that would have fixed refineries before removing subsidy, maybe this Yoruba Oba who probably supported Tinubu wouldn't have boarded Keke and he will still be alive.

Vote wisely, vote wisely. No be only Igbos go suffer am. How can an Oba board a commercial Keke because he doesn't have money to buy fuel?
An Oba from the region of the president
Rip King...
How dumb can you be?
Refineries have no effect on the price of fuel without subsidy.
Unfortunately, many of you gullible people are in the majority.

It was purely politics.

which of the obas ancestors told u the story was true? the story written by the the oba has always been the correct version in benin, he just merely documented it for posterity.
Nope, the Oba feeling embarrassed by his roots invented a fiction to feel superior.
I mean a prince fled his home due to "politics" and relinquish his birthright
and went to a strange land to reside and then be sought years after by those who exiled him.
Since you claimed he is a Benin prince, what kind of a coward run from his father's house?
How does that story really sound to you?

benin kingdom has not ancestral of blood relations with the cowards of ife. which land do benin loss to ijaws?
Ife had been donating princes to those who can govern themselves and kingdoms engulf
in political turmoil for centuries, Benin is just one of them.
You don't have to feel inferior because of that.
So, you a supoosed Benin defender don't know that Ijaws have taken over Gelegele as their territory
and banished the Oba representative?
I have been wasting my time with you thinking you know about Benin affairs.
PoliticsRe: US Throws Weight Behind ECOWAS And President Tinubu On Niger by ivolt: 9:16pm On Jul 31, 2023
Creeper:
Lol, sit this one out - you obviously know zilch about military.

The strength of Niger’s army isn’t what’s being discussed here - it’s the vested interest, the support the coup plotters enjoy amongst Niger citizens, and the landmass (it’s very important when invading a country).
See the guy who knows so much about military talking about landmass and coup support.
Removing coup plotters is so easy, sack them from the capital and that is their end.
The vested interest will send the coup plotters jets, artillery, and tanks?
Or they are going to rely on RPGs and AK-47?
Those guys are toast, should Nigeria move in.
Before you talk about Bokoharam, those overfed buffoons in military uniforms don't look suicidal to me.

To invade a country of Niger’s size and hostile population of 27million and successfully hold it - you’ll need at least 200k ground forces. Where will Nigeria get these forces from?
This epistle is for dumb illiterates to believe.
Niger has several ethnic groups with opposing interest and even have active rebellion
but there is a so-called hostile 27million people according to you.
What a joke.
The coup plotters can't even get 20% of their army's support should the issue really escalate.

Hypothetically, let’s say Nigeria captures the capital (which is impossible if Wagner forces can get there before Nigeria) - then what? Create a banana country where the president only controls the capital while other people control different parts of the country? And how is that going to work out for Nigeria when another Jihadist group set up shop along Nigeria and Niger borders?
Other groups including jihadist already hold sway in many parts of Niger.
You don't even know the country you are trying to analyze.
And what is with you guys obsession with Wagner?
I mean what is so special about them?
They die just like any other troops.
If you think Russia is going to sacrifice thousands of troops just to defend coup
plotters, you are even more even clueless than I think.
If Nigeria invades, it will capture the capital in a matter of days and that is the end of the coup.

These guys aren’t illiterates - they were trained by US Special Forces before they were hijacked to serve Russian interests via Wagner. It’s the same story from Mali, to Burkina Faso and Guinea.
Just because you read something on social media doesn't make it true.
Stop letting kids on the internet use your head for you.
The coup plotters hatched a copycat plan hoping to be welcomed or at least left alone.
When their projections failed, they decided to "invite" Russia in a desperate move.

Also, there isn’t that much difference between most African rebels and insurgents tbh. They both don’t fight via conventional means and I’d wager that insurgents in Africa are easier to dislodge than rebels and Algeria showed that with how it decimated AQIM. Nigeria army just doesn’t have what it takes and it has a lot to do with corruption.
What are you trying to say here?
That the coup plotters will become rebel or the invading forces are the rebels?
I am sure they are already processing their exile papers as plan B.

the immediate past oba wrote a book to correct that misinformation by the Yoruba revisionists, do well to read it and educate yourself. the great Benin kingdom stqnda strong and tall on its own not subservient to a weak ife that was being bitch slapped by small modakeke in the recent past.
The Oba wrote a complete fiction to deny the fact that every of his ancestor know to be true.
Since he wasn't brave enough to deny Ife totally he concocted the tale of a wanderer prince.
Ife had never claimed to be invincible and Modakeke issue is till an intra-ethnic issue.
BTW, how is Gelegele going?
How did the brave Benin lost it to the complete Ijaw strnagers?
Imagine fishermen took land from brave Benin and block its access to the sea.

It’s really interesting to see all these ignorant Nigerians on Twitter and on here talking about how Nigerian army will defeat Niger within hours. I don’t even think these people studied geography in school because if they did - they won’t make such a ludicrous statement.

Niger is bigger than Nigeria. And Nigeria, a country struggling to contain ragtag Islamists, bandits and separatists shouldn’t be interfering in other countries. Heck, Nigeria struggled in a very small country like Sierra Leone and it took the intervention of British forces (they had to intervene 3 times) to bring normalcy to that country.

Niger coupists have the support of the Wagner forces in Mali, Burkina Faso and Guinea. And Algeria has also joined the fray with support for the coupists. Nigeria needs to stay out of it.
A country's army strength is not determined by its size but population and finance.
If you are smart, you would realize that there is a difference between rebel or terrorist groups
doing hit and run and national army.
Niger will be defeated within days and the illiterate generals will flee.
When the capital fall and it will fall so fast, that will be the end.

Benwems:
Stop reading history upside down because you are yoruba. The first ooni of ife is a Benin prince who wondered away because he was the heir but because of politics he wasn’t made king. He went and started the Ife kingdom. Yes later, the bini gods were angry and they told the chief priest to go and locate him in ife to return home to his kindgom. He said he was too old when the bini delegation reach ife so he sent his son to come to Benin. His son came to Benin and started the oba dynasty.

Before the oba dynasty in Benin, it was the Ogiso dynasty , then the ogiame dynasty before the oba dynasty. Benin kingdom long existed before Ife kingdom. Also, Oba is a bini word not yoruba word.

Yoruba kings were never called oba. Yorubas copied it from binis. Ooni of Ife: Kabiyesi (his name) there was no oba. Same with Aalafin of oyo.

Stop distorting history.
First of all, there is no king in Bini before Ife grandson came to power!
Bini had Ogisos.
Ask yourself why Bini abandoned Ogiso for Oba title?

Kingdom or principality do not change their leaders title just for fun.
Oba title was in recognition of the foreign origin of Eweka.
If it was just business as usual, he would have been an Ogiso too.
It is not just the title that changed, Eweka heralded expansion of Benin
more than all the Ogisos combined!

The late Oba who felt slighted that his ancestor was from Ife concocted the
tale of a wandering prince.

The first ooni of ife is a Benin prince who wondered
I can now see you are very ignorant.
Oduduwa was not the first Ooni of Ife.
Ooni throne predate him and neither was he a Bini prince.
He was a full blooded local.
It is just like claiming that Alexander the Great is the first king of Macedonia
because of his popularity and legacy.

Bini chiefs having failed to solve the perenial leadership crisis in their land went to
Ife to seek solution. That is how an Ife grandson became the first Oba of Bini.

The way you guys are obsessed with Benin is incredible, what in hell links Benin to this event, yet you had to mention the Oba of Benin whose title your monarchs keep using fraudulently as if they gave forgotten their titles. You clearly lack understanding of history and seem to believe the current political structure in the land mass of Nigeria has always been in place.
Let me open your eyes a little, here is a Precolonial map of Africa, locate Benin on it, and look for Ife on it. That will tell you the difference in importance between Benin empire and Ife village !
Do you know how insulting it is to say that the king of a large sovereign country got his crown from a village head called Oni of Ife ?

Most of you guys don't understand that Benin Kingdom/empire was a country ! Ab independent country until it lost a war to the UK! What exactly was Ife if not a village !
None of your kings since Eweka I, the son of Oranmiyan ever denied their Ife origin.

The current British monarchy came from "inconsequential" Germans.
I have never met a British who feel inferior for having a foreign king.
As majestic as Chinese civilisation was, they had mongol emperors.
China didn't have to invent dumb stories to hide that fact.
The popes with zero army in the centuries past were installing powerful kings in Europe.

BTW, there are many precolonial maps, it is dumb to ignore others and choose one that
suits your narrative.
