RomanceRe: My Wife Caught Me!!!! by Ivynwa(f):
She caught you?
You let her catch you? grin grin

Sorry Poster the title of your thread reminded me of the 2 statements/questions above that my cousin normally jokes around with while singing Shaggy's song.
What were you thinking having another woman in your home and being unfaithful too. I heard somebody saying that you are neither married nor have children, can the thread be just a mere joke or really serious musings of a caught husband? undecided tongue

RomanceRe: Most Beautiful Girl on Nairaland June 2012**GRAND FINALE** by Ivynwa(f): 1:09am On Jun 30, 2012
Who won?
Have they called the result?
I am hearing Chillaz everywhere and on checking out the picture was surprised. She is a good looking girl no doubt, she seems to have mixed gene somewhere from her features but her half covered face did not show her fully and did not do justice to her. The face I saw is not enough to strike out the beauty of other young ladies competing with her. I have nothing against the girl but other persons here are equally great looking.

Ogugua is very good looking likewise Shollypop(shollypop also does not have a full bodied picture that can help one analyze fully) so I am giving it up to Ogugua. Hip hip hip hurray, end of voting! Make some noiseeeeeeeeeeeeee! Hahaha grin grin

She is living in a fool's paradise. Why do some women get stupid and go justifying the lies of their blatant liar partner when it is crystal clear that they are living a lie? I hope she awakes in time enough and move forward to a better person.

TV/MoviesRe: Ghanaian Movies Banned In Nigeria by Ivynwa(f): 2:32pm On Jun 24, 2012
I like Ghana movies but they overdo stuffs in their movie too.
I was watching a ghana movie one day when one actress made a disgusting s-exual advance on another actor that had me exclaiming, it was very disgusting---Some persons that sell soft s-ex movies and music in the ntertainment industry failed to understand that a woman is sexier with some modicum of modesty. When it goes overboard and extreme, it becomes pure Mgbekeism/archaic/unrefined and that is where the Ghana movie makers are fast racing to.

I don't like that the two film industries of this two countries are warring please let us love and patronize each other's industry. Eschew bitterness and rancour please.

@Onlytruth
I'm so so proud of the bravity/resourcefulness of some of your Nnewi people like Innoson and Cento and others(What happened to Cento's company?). I onced worked with him in Lagos when he took on some machine business. I hope his motorcycle plant at Nnewi is still active?
I so like the resourcefulness/hardwork of the Nnewi people, I am from a neighbouring town and being a Nwadiani makes it all homey.

Music/RadioRe: Some lil Bit of "Jiggle it, Jiggle it" dance songs! by Ivynwa(op): 5:36am On Jun 24, 2012
In as much as these acrobatic displays here are wowing me, there is still something sexy/modest about a woman not going to extremes while dancing. A woman should carry herself excellently while dancing not open legs 180 degrees and dance near n-aked. Guys please don't go making your babes do extreme/mgbeke dancing for you after watching these videos I have here. I shared because I was amazed at the way they made gymnastic out of dancing but they sure overdid things here.
PoliticsRe: Babatunde Ogunnaike. Elected Fellow Of National Academy Of Engineering by Ivynwa(f):
Biggups to the Ogunnaike man, he actually got some noddings and respects to the Nigerian Engineers.
Hey where are those making mouth and rejoicing at the beginning of the thread that he is yoruba, if you are rejoicing that he is yoruba I am also rejoicing that he is also Igbo because while one of his names (Babatunde)is yoruba the other one (Ogunnaike) seems Igbo(E-e-e-em not sure grin) but that name has an Igbo meaning----I can almost swear that that name is Igbo Lol----So a Yoruba/Igbo man got us this accolade----No dissing. cool One love!

Gotta run along before somebody pisses her off, don't wanna see some dragons getting unleashed. Thanks for recognizing and appreciating girl.
PoliticsRe: U.S. To Slap "Terrorist" Label On Boko Haram Militants by Ivynwa(f):
The academics experts on Africa that are dissuading the Obama-led govt from making noise over this are very right and should be listened to. I am also of that opinion that they not be given such publicity that can escalate things stupidly. Is it that thing about men that makes them stubborn sometimes? If the US shouts BH on top of the roof tomorrow morning, believe me that before the night comes that the new converts will have multiplied more than a thousand fold, with many getting moved by a fr*aking desire to be at war with the almighty US and even the hearts of some of them gladdening up because the US paid them a mind.grin grin Seriously!

I appreciate the effort the US are making on human rights and freedom to the world but sometimes when they make some mistakes that only spurs on their enemies and escalates hatred for them, I wonder why they make such cheap mistakes. Stuffs like giving publicity to things that should not be made public like they have been doing on their recent two wars etc talking about it on and on------there was a time I got real sick with the US always uttering "terrorist" and having people living in fear etc. There are things that deserve to be kept mute over while at the same time working on that issue underground, that way you don't draw unnecessary attention to the issue or have the issue grow wing and get spurred on and more inspired by the attention.

They shouldn't act before they think and have the BHs on us like Bees because we are the ones that will bear the blunt of that even when their intention to help is good.

Oh my God, I was holding my heart from the beginning of this thread and only exhaled when the poster came back feeling better. Poster be strong dearie, look around you and inside you and you may find the key that leads to the realization of your dreams after all. I am hoping that things turn around for you in no distant future. Plenty hugs to you and the others that reached you in time with their warmth! The others that were talking hard and unfeeling to a person that depressed and suicidal, is that how you treat your fellow depressed human you meet on the lane of life? Think about that.
RomanceRe: She wants to get married by Ivynwa(f):
@Poster

If you love this friend of yours whose case you are talking about here better advise her to wise up and know what she is doing with that dude because it is that same fella that will find her disgusting (with two abortions gone) that is if he isn't already feeling so. If she is tripping to be married she should check the other people coming for her to see whether she is compatible with any of them, if the said boyfriend is the one she loves and must marry then she should be taking safety precautions while lovey-doveying with him and quit killing and flushing. She may end up rupturing or tearing one or two things in her womb while doing her "flushing" and that of course will be the end of the "flushing" when she won't ever see a pregnancy much more flush it. I am not wishing her bad-o-o, better advise her.

Dating and choosing a life partner in the Nigeria scene has become a game with the men not wanting to be beaten. If I were a man, I will never marry a woman that has aborted one child much more one that wants me to begin counting "how many times she aborted" on her fingers! Any woman that does not like the sound of that can frown at me and move on. We women are the ones that frown on men wanting to validate fertility before they marry, with all these aborting and flushing women give them reasons to do these. I can't be crazy enough to cling to a boy who is not ready to have a family yet you the woman is foolishly aborting and endangering your life/killing and risking barrenness for him. Women have died while aborting, I don't care what the "Pro-choice" school of thought think about what I just said.

Ladies shine ur eyes,be wise & smart. The game is on, don't be beaten.It's these same men some of ya ladies are loving up & aborting babies for that still turn around to abhor u.
Where my ladies at? Hello! waves wt tips of my fingers
While your heart is fluttering, know whatcha doing.
Peace!!

RomanceRe: She wants to get married by Ivynwa(f):
The fact that the 28 year old lady wishes to marry isn't enough reason for a young man to rush into it because of her so the dude is being wise in his standing. What is going on with us ladies? When I was 28 I was not thinking about marriage by the time I was 32 and looking around me I came to understand that one should be concerned with that in the twenties. It was in this forum that I heard that one should be considering marriage from 25 upwards.

On another topic related to this----What is it about our Nigerian society that has young women feeling terrible because others are married and they are not if not the way we make them feel about it? I just got off a thread where a lady was lamenting that her father calls her "bastard" because her younger sisters are married before her. Here this particular person in question is feeling like a loser because she is not married like others.

Let's be going easy on our young ladies, what is all these "you are less than a person" treatment ladies get given because they haven't met their soul mate? Only a society still shackled by senseless norms, ignorance, and undignifying beliefs will have its young women growing out with plenty of them feeling terrible about themselves because of the way others are making them feel about their single state. Even on a faceless forum one still see the single ladies getting talked down and looked down upon, is it not because the culture here sees unmarried ladies as less than their married counterparts and deserving no respect? I had my unhappy moments of wanting a partner but my own basically stemmed from my love for babies. I am not one to allow what and how the people around me wish my life to be shapened into affect my happiness and I feel for these unhappy girls that I see around. This is becoming a serious issue nowadays, I read in the other thread where the young unhappy/unmarried girl is asking that we help save her from killing herself because she is unmarried and that did not sound nice at all. Are we fast becoming a society pushing its young girls into having suicidal thoughts like that young girl confessed she has?
RomanceRe: I Am On Nairaland To Find A Husband. Month Of June And Still Not Married by Ivynwa(f):
I just saw the part you wrote "that we help save you from taking your life".
YOU MUST NOT TAKE YOUR LIFE BECAUSE YOU HAVE NO HUSBAND. I hope you heard me well, you musn't think about taking your life. If you kill yourself they will push you underneath the soil and cover your body for it to rot and other people will be getting married and finding the partners you did not find. Please please let me not hear you mention that again, wetin?
RomanceRe: I Am On Nairaland To Find A Husband. Month Of June And Still Not Married by Ivynwa(f):
@Lady **ckherlord,
Please quickly change that your username, how on earth did you think of bearing such a name? Who will want to near a person bearing such name? It isn't sweet of your father calling you a bastard, pressures around you and the fact that your younger ones are married may be affecting you much but muster some strength dear. Don't let people bring you down, engage yourself in activities you derive joy from while hoping to meet the right person okay Baby. The important thing is that you sail through life happily whether you are married or single.

You need to be strong that way you can look well and know who you are compatible with, the reasons that are making you run and rush into marriage are a bit unhealthy as they are all about the pressures around you. The way it is with you now, you will find it difficult to refuse a person you are not compatible with or can't live with. If you end up with a paedophile/419/wife beater the persons pressuring you will be enjoying their lives while you will be going thru life frustrated so be careful sweetie.

Be smart while you are it, it is important that you know important things about who you are going to marry so that you don't marry them and feel disgusted when the person begins to unravel his true self.
TravelRe: South-African Policeman Tears Nigerian's Passport To Pieces (Pic) by Ivynwa(f): 4:45am On Jun 23, 2012
South Africans seem to be very xenophobic, wasn't there a time they fell on Zimbwabeans living in South Africa and were killing them? I keep asking why blacks hate themselves very much.
If it were a white man that came holidaying in SA they will be wiping his chair for him and even form an entourage recording every word and every breath he takes.
FashionRe: Should Tall Girls Wear High Heels? by Ivynwa(f): 12:41am On Jun 23, 2012
However much women like high heels for the sexy look effects (Butt sticking out,back arched, chest thrust forward, tightened/flexed calf muscle) it is important that we note that high heels causes a shift in the centre of gravity of the body which makes the wearer prone to fall/instability.

High heels causes the pelvic region to tilt and is not good for women that are pregnant as it can cause miscarriage.
PoliticsRe: Police Avert Explosion At Fagge Juma'at Mosque, Kano by Ivynwa(f): 12:04am On Jun 23, 2012
What are people still doing in mosque and churches with what is happening in Naija? They should all stay home and stop churching for now until things cool down. We are even better off without churching and religioning because our own is the worst. If some that call themselves heads of religious bodies are not fooling people and duping them off their money, they are brainwashing them.
Tell me, what good comes from all that if not for some few that worship their God with all their heart? Let people worship from their houses for a while please if that is what will make the black man love his brother and stop killing himself for religious belief.
