davidylan: Plenty of fatherless kids who even as well-rounded adults still deeply resent being raised in a home without a father. Sagamite: That is out of order. Fhemmmy: Seconded , , , I think we need to watch what we say and how it is being said. coogar: cheiiii - that's harsh!Hold, hold, hold guys! I have a better response for him. See this self-confessed-b*stard mother-f*cker! Oh! Oh! the mother of bastards are good to f*ck by the great David even when they gave birth to your so-called "bastards"?? I hope you got the message dude! I was already organizing this to reply you before I read that you have apologized to lady Durobraham over the bile you poured on her in your post above but I will still post this to serve as a lesson for you to stop looking down on people you consider bastards. The Moderator may delete it but I need you to read it so that you will always remember not to categorize people as bastards---the great genuine-born-Sanctimonious-holiest-David! Look at him babbling here and feeling like Mr. "I know it all" when he is only spitting and representing all the wrong things why single mothers are maltreated and snubbed in Nigeria. Do yourself a favour and hush up some because you a hypocrite that sleeps with single mothers and comes online to shout woes onto them. Una dey follow me see-o-o my people! davidylan: ----------- |
davidylan: The family section is filled with a lot of empty philosophies. Wake up and welcome to reality my dear. Marriage is NOT a control measure but is a sacred commitment that two people make to raise their kids in a wholesome environment... that some have desecrated it does not suddenly make single parenting acceptable. If you read my post well, I said that marriage is partly "a control measure". Marriage is other things which "control measure" is part of. Marriage can be defined differently by many depending on what marriage means to them and why they are getting married, we all came into this world and learnt that there is something called "marriage" and that you must'nt go having s-ex until you are married. If you don't agree with that leave it, one of the reasons marriage was instituted and humans taught at young age to restrain till marriage is for us all to have some orderliness and better living and not be mating at random and chaotically the way animals do. Have you ever thought of how this world will be like if everybody is free to start having s-e-x from 13/14 years with anybody they fancy as well as be making children. One person alone will have close to 30 children and it will be a mad world if everybody sleeps with whoever they fancy just the way animals do it. Morals are taught for restraint, marriage helps give our world orderliness and decency. It is partly a control measure, take it or leave it. |
davidylan: What is drastic is letting her have the child which will be a constant source of sorrow to her. Have you seen the guilt that eats at the mothers who realize their child will forever pay the consequences for their own folly? Me i will drive my daughter to the clinic and sit there until i see a scan showing her belly has no baby there again. No foolish man should be tied to my daughter for life just by virtue of donating some sperm. The bolded is actually a state of mind, a notion which differs in different societies. The negation of it in that sentence is because our society look down on a child born out of wedlock. Whoever invented the word "bastard" should be rebuked, who are we humans to certify one another as bastards and genuine? Many great persons were born out of wedlock and went ahead to make a good life for themselves while the genuine others are being cynical towards them by the side. Branding human beings such names is an erosion of their dignity. I am sure that many persons that were branded that had pains inflicted on their heart and their self confidence mashed on. Some of us in this forum, typing here and reading these may have even been born under such circumstances. Who are we to write them off as below-humans? Marriage is partly a control measure and should never be used as a yardstick of acceptance, rejection and condemnation of humans. As long as children born out of wedlock in our society are considered less humans and girls(whatever happened to the boys involved?) that got impregnated while unmarried are satan's daughters, the young ones will continue to throw away the children they made in such circumstances. Many of them may succumb to injuries while aborting, many may even die from it. Are we making life better that way? |
Lovely thread, I hope it makes impact and and changes the "Oh so sinful!" perception some of us have of women that get pregnant outside marriage. I am not supporting that people should live wild and carelessly but when pregnancy occurs outside marriage we should be more supportive and caring instead of castigating, maltreating, disowning, abandoning, dismissing etc Hey! s-e-x-ual urge is a component of our body as humans, even animals mate. We just happen to be more intelligent beings that instituted such controls like marriage to put a damper on things. It is beautiful to teach morals to the younger ones so that they will have wisdom and restraint but when our loved ones gets pregnant let us show them support, is it not enough unhappiness on them that friends and neighbours are mocking and laughing them to scorn at such a time? I have a cousin that is a year older than me, she got impregnated by her young friend when we were like 15, 16years old. All hell was let loose--neighbours talked and mocked her, her siblings were so heartbroken that one cried. Her brother nearly killed the boy, he actually threw him down from their two-storey house. She went through unpretty maltreatment in the environment she was in, was direspected and looked down upon. I was supportive, I remember writing her a letter of encouragement (we lived far apart) and boldly accompanying her to get her medications while neighbours stared in mockery. She later had a very handsome babyboy, went on to higher institution, graduated married with another baby now. In one of our Xmas family prayer meeting, another cousin once admonished her in the presence of all that she better not get pregnant again---this same holy nweje cousin later impregnated another girl though he married her, they broke up and he is married to somebody else now. When I look back at all that, I smile at life. You never know what life has in store for anybody. You that is mocking such a person----do you know what will happen to you or your siblings or even your children? Let us be more tolerant. |
Idowuogbo: Relate gini? Tufia!Bado dey goooooooooooooooooooooo!!! Nothing do you! U be correct babe Ojare. I no say if that kind K-man cross your corner, e go kpeme. Hahaha! |
shymmex: I don't support the bolded part - that was an act of cowardice on his part.. I'll never support a man who puts his hands on a woman - regardless of what she did, or may have done...Yeah boy, a woman will trip and be happy to be married to a millionaire, billionaire yet a woman will not go abusing her man and or behaving the way he did----using his husband status as a tool of oppression breathing down her neck to make him signatory etc. Except in rare and extreme cases where I have heard that some kill husband to acquire wealth which is unbelievable sha. |
Idowuogbo: Ur yansh dia! Dey jaw Bado u hia!Badonwa Sweet sweet, how are you loovely? E be like say the K-solo man dey related to you, the way you dey defend am sef. The man too shine im eye-o-o abeg. shymmex: Like I said yesterday, women and men are equal - and if women can do it, what stops the guy from doing the same thing?I know that naturally we all like good things and like to be in a good place, I also know that some men appreciate wives with good jobs, good career just like a woman will but come on I never knew that a man can go this gutter low just to enrich himself from a woman---some Nigerian men will appreciate such women but still have some integrity left. He didn't even humble himself and enjoy the good life the poor woman was giving him, he had to be abusing, maiming her to the point that it affected the child in the womb and led to miscarriage----that last part is so unforgivable. What manner of a man touches a pregnant woman much more beat her to the point of killing the child inside her? |
I was thinking that his part of the story may make a little difference to it knowing that there is truth in the woman's part of the story but his statement is that of a guilty scammer-wife-beater-opportunist-gold-digger that can't wait for all this to die down so that he can lure the woman back and get bought his jeeps and given signatories to her company's account and properties. He is still hoping that he will make up with her so that he will continue eating and wasting away the fruit of that lady's labour. This world is turning into something else for a man to stoop to the level he has. The lady has better run for her life, what husband is that one? Come to think of it, did somebody say that he produced Timaya's songs? I like Timaya's riddims sha and appreciate his handiwork if he did, he should keep producing good music and wealth will get to him in no time. He doesn't have to be deceiving, cheating, maltreating and duping women in order to take away their riches from them. |
Richvkunt: Never take these reality shows too serious,it is just a game where people are paid money for winning. You mean that she does all that domestic work for them? She must be a very homely person. A domesticated lady just can't hide it or fake it when it comes to attending to such wherever she is. Biggups to her on that. She may even win at the end who knows only make she cut out that Prezzy part and carefully wade her way to success there. What is it about the Prezzy fella that is rocking her world? Did somebody say that he is famous? Or is he handsome or what? Haven't even got time to see the faces of all of them in the house |
How come Doctorazz lady started the thread and Portharcourt man took over the thread? Why is she not responding? Are you sure that you are not very domineering, Ph man? Where do you find it in you to call your woman a fool? The same woman you are telling us that you love? What kind of love is this one? What is going on here?---this is not very healthy. |
I read this post before but didn't go all the way, I am surprised to see this drama unfolding now. I can't help wondering "What is the hook here?" that have this two persons at themselves like this with one tolerating a terrible abuse and the other tolerating abuse on his family pointing out weak points after weak points, teaching and abusing and still holding on to the person he considers riddled with flaws. Nothing justifies the rate of abuse this girl described that she is getting and nothing justifies her abusing your family too. How can two persons that want to get married be abusing families, abusing self and gettin on like this? You guys need to sort this very well before getting married. You are acting like babies, even babies won't abuse themselves like this------something tells me that this is a relationship of a very handsome man and a very beautiful girl who got attracted to their good looks but not really flowing excellently. If that is not the case, there must be a hook somewhere that none of us is seeing. It's still nice that man Ph understood her weakpoints and wants to teach his lady yet nothing justifies talking down on the dignity of your woman and her abusing your family. Our lady if you are interested in settling down in a marriage, try and learn to cook as much as you can unless you are as rich as Beyonce and can afford to have cooks cooking for your man. Even the rich big girls with cooks have special times when they have to cook for their man so learning to cook is important girl. Whatever the hook is between you guys, it better be "love" and nothing but love so that you don't end up marrying and breaking up. Ph man that said that he is going to change from being abusive, what change is there to change again when you've looked down and through your woman and went disrespecting her about? What change is there? If this thing happening is not controlled and stopped now it can get very unpretty with time. I hope it doesn't. Wishing you guys happiness! |
shymmex: I kind of find you amusing, tho.Cause we are all brethren/bredrins from the other thread. Boy don't get me blushing on the world wide web with millions watching. I gotta run along before I start tripping the way them ladies are all tripping over K-solo---Hahaha! Are you a lagos big boy? E be like say na Lagos shined-eye-big boys dey rain nowadayz-o-o-o. Shei! that K-solo fella na sharp man -o-o, take style impregnate the girl abi na the girl take style carry belle grab him sef. He had her in a tight corner and on wedding night started listing his ultimatums, it's clearer now---it has to be the pregnancy that tied the girl in there. Au Revoir mon ami bredrin. |
Come on Child, are you serious about this? Talk to us so that we can share with you. We don't understand what you mean the way you said it. If it's true please be consoled sweetheart, plenty hugs from all of us. Take heart okay Baby. (Oh my God, he is only a child, his post shows that he is only but 19) |
shymmex: But a lot of guys do the same thing for girls..You are right, Bredrin As one matures and looks back on life, one realizes that it's a funny place. Cheerio! |
I haven't had time to view all of that but I saw her looking like a bereaved widow in tears and read that she is even under suicide watch. Why is she doing that to herself? She has been blessed with a good career and has good prospects----what with all the sweet naija men in Nigeria and she is tripping while the world is watching her. Abi na fakey fakey Kardashian-like kind of show that they are doing there and acting all up to spice up the show for them. I watched the video of the part the Zainab lady got slapped and was shocked at how a lady can be that violent and even exhibit such disgusting attitude of peeping a man while he is showering. I was sorry for that boy that got evicted with her because she drove/tempted that boy into slapping her, the boy has already walked away from her and she went flying in his face like a lagos-adamma-sophisticated babe. I wish the boy resisted the temptation, now both of them have gone. Please is there a website where it is being streamed online, okay I will check out the BBA website later. |
shymmex: How's she a mumu?Hahaha! Oga Shymmex abeg wetin be your own? It is not a crime to fall in love but na only mumu girl fit tattoo the name of a woman-scammer/419 man on her body. I admire some tattoos, have none yet because I can't handle the needling yet. I may get one someday but I am never gonna tattoo a man's name on my body. I laugh when I see women do that because when the relationship/marriage ends and the man is gone---what is such a woman going to do about her tattoo? Maybe hide, disguise and turn it into another tattoo. A woman going about with a tattoo of a man chilling with another woman somewhere is the dumbest woman on earth. I guess the other lady with the K-solo tattoo on her arms has been wearing long sleeve on her arm while he was married to this Kike lady or was she flashing around the tattoo like K-Solo's No. I fan? Anyway sha she fit go back to him now that the road is clear as he is tattooed on her forever and they all have to win the K-Solo man as a prize. Who be even K-solo? Na today I hear that name for the first time. Oh! sh-h-h-h-h-h I forgot that he is the biggest boy in town and the big girls gotta have him. WTFr*ak! |
She saw another Mumu girl with the man's name tattoed on her and she did not use her brain, she has all the evidence that he is scamming a woman and she still went ahead and married him because she has to win him away from all those ladies as a prize. On the wedding night he woke you up and asked you- "When are you going to make me a signatory to your company's account and when are you going to change all your property to my name?". Hahaha I no fit laugh-o-o, opportunist husband. Dude no even wait for the wedding day to break, what was it you did that gave him the audacity to be blackmailing you with money like that? Were you tied and sealed to him from the day you started noticing all these disgusting attitude that you went ahead and married him? |
samm: We failed them. First thing first, the crashed plane by law was not supposed to be flown by Dana based on age. Isn't there a maximum age of 20 years for commercial planes. All planes flying the air route of our country needs to be inspected thoroughly , if the aviation body do not have capable hands they can even employ the service of foreign and well trained (well trained because our mediocrity did not allow us train ourselves properly and bribery and corruption has gotten our eyes and conscience too blurred to make judgement on this) Aeronautical Engineers etc who can inspect and condemn the air planes that deserve to be condemned. We mustn't allow this disgraceful thing to keep happening in this country, people get their money taken from them----packed into a death trap of a flying machine and poured out from the sky. Who deserves to die like that? Nobody! The days have started rolling by, give us all 2 weeks, a month, two months and it is all forgotten. Is it that we Nigerians do not value our lives and freedom or that we don't care enough to speak out for this to stop? |
livapul86: @Ivnywa: You made some brilliant submissions but beyond that, one key problem that has continued to plague us as a people is our mediocre and 'e no concern me' attitude. We are not addressing the issue of first responders in an emergency in this country, that should be the local government. Unfortunately, our LG's exist only in names because contrary to popular sentiments LASEMA got there in good time considering the terrain. As Pro1 said Everything is in God's hand but as a people we need to rise above our mediocre attitudes. The bolded is part of the change that we are talking about and this massive loss of lives in the Dana Crash is enough catalyst for us to get started lest we go back to our slumber and keep enjoying our sleeps until another fathers, mothers, brothers, sisters of some other people get sacrificed on this altar of nonchalance. It still hurts that one of my favourite pastors, a great woman and one of the greatest motivational speakers Nigeria has ever had Pastor Bimbo Odukoya got wasted this way too. Enough is enough people. |
pro01: Ivynwa, I don't think 'we' failed them. You know the terrain this thing happened is one that is difficult to penetrate easily. Besides, the residents couldn't have rendered help quickly enough to the victims for fear of being engulfed in the explosion/fire. As a fatalist, I can't blame this too much on anyone other than on fate itself. How can you say that we did not fail them brother when we the livings ones can't get any feeling of sense of belonging from the country of our birth. We failed them and we are still failing ourselves when the poor masses can't get the basic amenities of life when we all know how many billions of dollars some past rulers have stashed away in other countries of the world for their families and children's children. I would have sat down here to keep pouring out my dissatisfaction over our country but I have to go to work. I just ran into the post below that seems to have the same things in mind as I do. One thing I believe like the poster below does too is that it's high time we arose and make this country work, it frustrates some of us and we run to other countries----come on it's high time we started working. We have the resources to make things work, it is not beyond us to build a good number of fire stations and purchase fire quenching facilities. Out of all persons in office----it's only that Governor Fashola (and some handful of others) that I am seeing doing good work and his work even got spoilt a bit because this happened in his state and the people working under him seem to be sleeping. Are you telling me that if we have the necessary/basic amenities like good running water, well-stocked/equipped fire stations and that if somebody in the office concerned did not run up and about on that sunday to ensure water provision that the rescue effort will not have been better? We have tolerated "having nothing" for too long! dr stone: I am proud of this Guy, Adeniji Aliyu and the beautiful way in which he narrated the newstory. Certain important facts come glaring from his piece of the account of the events of Sunday's Dana crash.1. Nigerian Populace especially lagosians are highly literate unlike what obtains say 30 years ago.2. The GSM revolution has eased communication greatly.3. Nigerians really love their country and each other by the level of response to emergency situations(May be not so much of that up in the BOKO States) 4. That our transport sector is really in a mess. It took the fire Services guys 40 minutes to make it to the Venue after being informed. Now Apart from the Air Disaster, our road networks are not only poorly built, but poorly managed. In Lagos for instance, Most Shop owners extend their shops right to the main road, Buses and cars could park even on the middle of the road thereby restricting the access space for other vehicles to maneuver and slow down other traffic. In lagos there seems to have been no plan for bustops, cause most of the bus stops are an afterthought of corrective policies. In Lagos traffic laws are flouted at will and no consideration is given to emergency vehicles like ambulances, fire services because people abuse the privilege associated with deferring to them on the road. I remember some years back after Gov Marwa's convoy was Bombed some where in Lagos, other commuters slowed down their trail of some of these official vehicles when weaving their way through dense traffic. Seems to me, that only catastrophic disasters of these kind can change an average black man's mentality and cause him to reconsider his values. If Dana crash has not happened , we may never seek to better our aviation industry by asking questions. If the BOKO guys are not striking with fierce terror, we never review our security procedures. Seems to me albeit crazy that some of the negatives happenings around us are a way nature tries to jolt us to awake and do the Proper thing "Collectively". Would there have to be an earth tremor, or a tsunami or a torrential down pour that wipes out an entire part of lagos to help us know the important and insist on sticking to proper planning of cities. All the open spaces reserved in the urban master-plan has been sold out or built upon. Must we even build every where? we seem to be ignorant that available land space is a great resource for other activities. I doubt if all the newly built up areas of lagos with high density populations were actually planned(Apart from the LSPDC Estates, GRA's, IKOYI's, Festac town, Satellite town etc). I mean places like Ketu, Egbeda, Iyana Ipaja, Alagbado, Ojokoro, Meiran,Alakuko,Ajegunle,Orile,Ajangbadi etc. Should there be a disaster in some of these places millions would die cheaply before any rescue effort can reach them or they can access the rescue teams. |
virtuoso01: At that moment when you feel it within yourself that death is inevitable, you will be be seized by a short and sharp fear then an unatural calm will settle upon you and you will see the whole of your life flash by in an instant. In sharp detail.I nearly wanted to ask whether you have died before until I read that you have been thru such near-death experience. What can I say---hugs to you! Nobody deserves to be dealt such cruel hand at that moment of transition. |
I don't know whether I am the only one that feels very unhappy about this plane crash. I am not just unhappy, I am mad vexed that things do not work in our country---that some of us do not have "People" and "rendering service" and "patriotism" in their heart while they work in their various governmental offices. How can our brothers and sisters fell from the sky in the belly of a "pregnant-death-tomb" of a plane and the shortage of water, fire retardants affected their rescue effort? Okay, the plane exploded and we couldn't help it but do we have to watch and lament that there's no water while these bodies languished in fire? When I heard it in the news and came online to get more info, I heard someone in the scene of the crash lamenting that only two fire trucks were there at the time and that they came an hour late. I still thanked God that we managed to have two working fire trucks in the city knowing that the way things are with us many trucks on fire stations are not in working conditions. I commented then asking whether they are dousing the fire and hoping that we don't run out of water and guess what? We did! Clap for yourself Nigeria!! Other countries are mocking us over the inept handling of this crash, should we continue to be laughing stocks over corruption, nonchalance and their brothers? How can a big country like ours that have made uncountable dollars from oil not afford to provide water for its people when we export oil like water to other countries? Ordinary water is expensive and almost unaffordable in Nigeria for the poor ones who are not rich enough to give themselves borehole and tanks and such. How did we feel on watching these our dead loved ones burn some because of shortage of water, when we could have ameliorated the situation and their loved ones will at least be able to recognise their dead frames? How did we allow inefficiency rule us to a point that the lives of people are being toyed with in the air plane money-making business? Air planes that are not air-worthy keep killing people in our lands and we all keep watching and sending condolences, thanking God that we were spared. Disorganisations has become the order of the day, the NCAA should get off their butts (now I'm cursing, have you seen me curse before because I don't?) and inspect all those death traps they call planes before any can ever fly on our soil again (that is for those that are still interested in flying in Nigeria because I won't until we all get things working in our country). People swag about holding their shoulders that they are holding good governmental positions but they go to work everyday and do nothing except plan on how to get all the money Nigeria has got. A country that foreigners earn millions and trillions of dollars on its shores and oil wells and it can't provide basic amenities to the people. Can we all quickly and quickly get this our country working? I am tired of all these gross disorganisations and palpable stinking-corruption! We all mourn and cry and cover our heads in shame over all these, acting up nicy nicy and sending condolences to the bereaved families forgetting that these victims have paid the price for our nonchalant and unpatriotic attitudes. Let us not forget to engrave it on the pages of history that we failed the victims of this Dana air Crash while we dig their graves. Let us not forget! I am tired of a Nigeria where nothing works! Mtscheeeeew, excuse me! |
Jiah011: Planes are not built as helicopters where one can just jump out. So parachutes and such items wouldn't work. And generally to do such things, one needs training on how to do so properly. Think of the children and babies on the flights, even the elderly. Parachutes and jumping would not be an option for them. There are many safety concerns with parachutes too. Even the safety equipment on board commercial planes are generally for crash landing over water. With an experienced pilot, a crash landing over water can be done without loss of life, given the type of problem the plane is having and such a landing is possible. However, over land, crash landing is often a tragedy, simply because of the harshness of impact.Thank you my sister, we feel the same way here. |
28 years old is still young, you still have a good chance of conceiving in the near future but if he is not co-operating with you at all at all better leave that place in time, you are not there to do maidy-maidy job for him while he smiles and feels content with his brood that you are labouring to keep happy. If he is so selfish that he doesn't want to seriously put heads together with you so that you can make babies then leave him and find another man that wants a family like you do. A fr*aking man did that to somebody I know and had the gut to be telling the poor lady that "It is not easy for him to rear the two he had from his previous marriage". She left him, only a fool stays with a man who has clearly shown you that he is content with the number of children he has. I don't know the extent of his selfish attitude in your own case. Such persons that treat the issue of birthing with their spouse that carelessly are very selfish because if these children are not there he will be worrying and be more concerned. I can't stand such selfish men. If he is being that selfish, Dump his selfish *ss + b*ttom. WTFr*ak? When you do leave just do me a favour and still be there for the children as much as you can, hopefully they are grown some now and your leaving won't kill them because you are a human being too with desires and longings like them all. Excuse me! |
REALITY101: Madame what in the name of sweet banana are you on about? Did you read this dude's spew? OP is 1000000% kiddie n shouldn't be allowed to have sex.E-w-w-w----No he doesn't sound like a kiddie to me. Reality how is your sexy and sweet mama? I read somewhere that she is so cute that some lad was eyeing her. Greetings my brother! ![]() |
I think that you guys went magnifying the whole issue until it came to a loggerhead. Stop dragging it with him girl, he doesn't seem to understand why your people are saying that it should be in your side because he is marrying you off so try and explain to him. I don't think that the venue should be a bone of contention, there shouldn't be rules and laws about where couples must wed because many people fly out of their country to wed, some wed in the city where they live, some wed in their wife's church while others wed in their own church. There are still others that fly to islands and seasides or any destination that holds special appeal in their lives so quit dragging with him. Make your family chill about it too. Infact I think that you guys should just choose a neutral place that is neither in his area nor yours either, maybe a nice resort or sweet place with beautiful sceneries and get happily married. Do you have to start dragging and warring and taking sides when the marriage hasn't even started? Hey, there ain't no rules to it girlfriend, just have fun-----it's your wedding. |
its not a joke. ![]() its someone's account. lets not laugh about it plz. you dont have to believe it but at least respect the dead and keep your mocking under wraps. ![]() fear God.
You think I'm laughing girl, I am not. I am mad mad mad vexed at the death of these people. How can I find a joke to make out of this massive loss of pains, blood soaked land, burnt loved ones, tears, heartbreaks and more heartbreaks. I am vexed dearie. Vexed that things do not work in our country, disorganisation---- |
another account said two white men jumped out of the plane before it crash landed, but unfortunately they were directly under the spot where it came down.
Nsogbu! Wahala on top of wahala. Can somebody share a consoling version. A story that goes like "the plane fell apart and many people scrambled out" how we wish that happened. |
tellwisdom: And you think this dude understands all you wrote here??--He's nt from the village as u. Duh, na Ibo BOIU get time! dey there. |
This version is not comforting either, if somebody came out and fell and died. Nobody survived. I hope somebody has a better version that is a bit consoling sha. The people thinking of looting such a site, I am sure that if a dead body is edible that they will loot those too. Pathetic and embarrassing! |
