iyawo to be,if you check america embassy website it is what is written there, she simply quoted it,that it doesn't apply to all states doesn't mean its wrong, one place I know you must use a notarised consent from us embassy is elpaso.I can't speak on oda states.
Yes of course. Am not disputing the fact that it is stated on the embassy's website. What am saying is, it's wrong for her to use that to form a conclusion when people have stated here times without number that they actually used a consent letter notarised in a public court. I know it doesn't apply to all states but then she shouldn't have generalized. And she even mentioned the payment of $50. I think we all know that is not true... Or am I missing something here?

I was gone ignore...but I said nah let me answer u. Biko show me where this question was answered for Georgia state SPECIFICALLY and I will gladly apologise, becoz I read and followed this thread for a very long time before I registered and even before the wipeout. So don't come up here attempting to sound smart.
Shuo Shawbabie tongue You get me for mind before? Abeggi o. I was referring to motherforlife post where she said only a consent letter from the embassy is accepted and one has to pay $50.

Why do you like giving false information? This is my second child and all my husband did was go to notarize the form DS -3053 at the nearest court.
I'm not saying it can't be done at the embassy but the embassy is not the only option.

lol. She even metioned paying $50 cheesy cheesy cheesy Something that is very very free. If only people asking questions can read through the thread. All these have been thrashed out in previous pages.

Hi guys,

I'm just got into atlanta less than 2 hrs ago. No stress at all.

Thanks to u guys for sharing ur experiences on Nairaland, it really helped a lot. My POE story goes thus.

I requested for a wheel chair and I had priority treatment all through the checkpoints.

Cbp: Hi, ur makeup suites ur scarf and top, that's nice (smiling)
Me: Hi, thank u
Cbp: why are u here
Me: to give birth...
Cbp: oh good
Cbp: have u travel to serria Leone or Liberia recently
Me: no, this is my first time to leave the country
Cbp: so you haven't traveled for vacation?
Me: no, I'm not too thrilled about traveling, I'm only traveling to be sure my baby is born safely.
Cbp: how many months pregnant are u?
Me: almost 8 months
Where will u be staying
Me: Houston
Cbp: are u expecting ur husband
Me: nope, not too sure. Hour is a very busy man
Cbp: where does he work?
Me: ....
Cbp: do u work?
Me: nope
Cbp: how much do u have on u
Me: $8k and #1k
Cbp: stamps me in for 6months and gives me my passport

No secondary inspection and we were smiling all thru. He didn't ask abt Dr appointment, neither did he request for any document.

Agriculture seized my rice (lol) and I didn't have any issues at the security check.

All in all took abt 15mins.

I'm just waiting for my connecting flight to Houston.

Thank God for his favor.

Wish all the mama's in d house a successful POE.

Dr Fagbohun, here I come..
Wow! Is this the same atlanta? Or another one? grin Thank God for his favour o.

Pls as touching the wheelchair, did you request to be wheeled to the plane? And how was your experience with Delta airline?

Just watch as people start porting to Missouri lol! I won't lie, it's a fantastic deal sha.
I'll say to consider the epidural, roughing it a lot easier said than done o! The pain is like nothing you've ever experienced.
lol. My concern isn't even about the pain... Most of us wouldn't have a choice than to face the pain if we were birthing in Naija. How many Naija hospital offers epidural.

My concern is just that its not a package deal. The hospital charges differently, the 800 for epidural doesnt include fee for anaesthesiologist and its only the doc fee that appears cheap. The man might even change the price after getting influxes of calls grin. I was considering Mobap before and when I called I was told 2700 for physician fee. So this 800 is good news! But looks too good to be true.

My advise to people who wants to port to st louis is to relax and allow Kizluv share her experience. See if there are no hidden charges and all after delivery, then you can now decide. To avoid stories that touch lipsrsealed

Kizluv get free accommodation. So a little surprise charges after delivery no go really affect her. Abi Kizluv? grin

Pls mothers in the house that have had deliveries using epidural and then not using vice versa.
I observed that mothers who used epidural took a lot longer to push their babies out because that painful urge wasn't there. Trying to decide on to do and not to do?
What was your experience like?
Thanks for raising this. People don't seem to share their birth stories here. I have been meaning to ask.

Experience mamas in the house, pls share your experience with epidural abeg. Did it help? Or natural is the way to go? wink

Pls advise FTMs like us o.

U know my suggestion? If U want to avoid the bank, deposit into your Live Forex Account and don't trade with it. Just before the end of May it is envisaged that a Dollar might exchange for up to ₦280. By the time U want to withdraw U'll have it straight into ur Naira account at the prevailing (higher) rate. I did that when the exchange rate was ₦204/$. Today now a $ is ₦212 at the parallel market.

And how did you arrive at that forecast?

Funny Madam angry

Well, I haven't paid yet. I called their international sales/reservation line and they advised me the price. I could have paid with my card but they advised me to pay at the airport for two reasons:
1. I would need a paper ticket to admit the baby on board and if I paid via telephone,They would have to deliver the ticket by post and the sales rep says she cannot guarantee it would arrive at my US address in the time frame I was requesting for which is within 2 weeks but she however said it is a huge possibility
2. She further advise that I opt to pay at the airport as the price would be the same value within my wife return date so to be on the safe side, i should just pay at the sales office in the airport
Alright. Thanks a bunch.

Is the delta houston promo still on? wink
