mrnilobrawn: Please use IOM no matter how long it will take them to issue you ticket. U wil surely get great deal of reduction, ease with your expecially for a family, plus additional 10kg per person.
IOM is the way oo. Yes. Will use IOM Australia for a prompt response. Just dont know if that will nvolve paying in Aussy dols like DIBP fees or naira! |

Hello All,
For those still planning on what to do as regards to Aussy migration, i guess now is the time to take the bull by the horn, paradventure Aussy implements the recent consideration of a price based system. A system that will cost $50,000 to migrate. RIDICULOUS. |

mPop: exactly @izyk il go d sch route.cs my end game is an australian pr hope there is no age limit for a tafe course sha? do u hv an answer to my previous question? is it immediately after study u apply for Pr or u apply after working for 1 year? U dont need work exp. after ur study to apply for PR. But it must be a 2year study or 2yrs cummulative. So bone UK and face Oz squarely. |

mPop: 5years? jesus. so i cant use my sales experience to apply? so does it mean even after my pgd i still need to work some more in the field of logistics befre applying. this is why i said it was complicated It is straight-forward. After ur pgd wch shld be a minimum of 1yr, u shld av post work experience of i think 2/3 yrs in a relevant field to ur pgd. I yr post work exp. is accepted only for a relevant bsc. Hope u are aware u av to return to Naija after ur course in Uk, except d new govt - if not the conservatives, reverses that. Canada / Oz is d way to go for study, if paramount plan is PR. |

mPop: after checking the csol i saw Technical sales representatives nec 225412 vetassess ... i worked as a sales agent for 1yr 6months and i worked as a logistics operation executive for just 9months Its best u go thru Vetassess skills assessment process on their website thoroughly as a Ist step. Seems the Postgraduate route is better for u, based on ur mis-matched qualification vs work exp. Think you need 5yrs work exp. of a nominated occup. for an irrelevant bsc. |

bossladyMo: For what it's worth...i just got the delay mail too. Seems its a guarantee for a grant. Called DIBP again on tuesday; the lady said my application was fine, just that they are waiting for the visa nos to be revised, which happens towards the end of June. So guess 1st week in July, though i still check my email for a miracle grant...lol. Cant wait to move to Oz. So far how has your experience been? So are you going to move to brisbane when granted? Did u travel with any household gadget? |

Jetspeed: Almost 4 months now that I submitted my vetassess application package for assessment yet the status is still in progress. BossladyMo and others, what do I do? Thats too long. You need to call them and if possible ask to speak with your case officer. Are u sure they received ur original transcript from ur uni? |
Travel › Re: General Australian Visa Enquiries by izykvision0: 8:20am On Apr 22, 2015 |
bossladyMo: Yea...they now process as teams. So that number leads to a member of the processing team, who is probably another person's co. I had a different co from the one who granted my visa. My visa was granted by the person I spoke to on the phone. So it doesn't matter who you speak to.
Obviously you have fulfilled everything needed. If he or she could have granted iy , he or she would have. But as the visa quota is running out, it's a matter of earliest PCC or meds expiration.
Worst case scenario...July. Thanks. Actually pray it comes before July. But if July then no qualms. Aint easy waiting and checking mails every morning. |
Travel › Re: General Australian Visa Enquiries by izykvision0: 11:08am On Apr 21, 2015 |
bossladyMo: The new trend now is processing means you have a CO. Sometimes, the CO waits till 28 days has passed, before checking on your file again...but some people are lucky and the CO checks their file within 1-5days.
I guess they stopped sending the number in the request mail. The number leads you directly to a processing office , could be Adelaide or Brisbane. Just be nice and polite...they are generally very nice and polite also. Just say you want to confirm they received the docs, as you earlier uploaded it but the co didn't receive it, and requested for it again. You should also ask if there are any other docs required of you....but for them to ask for PCC means every other thing is fine.
There is a hold on 190 and 489 visas for now tho....till July. Only those whose pcc or meds will expire soon are being granted.
+617313670000 Called them yesterday. Dont think one can speakwith CO directly again. Spoke with someone in a central unit so to speak. She just confirmed receipt of the email with the additional docs. ............ Got a delay mail today. Applied Mar. 10. Additional info request Apr.10. Surprisingly got the delay mail from another CO in GSM.Adelaide compared to the CO in GSM.Brisbane that requested for police docs and polio cert. |

Just scan the outer and inner pages, then merge the pdfs together. Ok. I did notarize my docs. Didn't want stories jare. Thanks. |

bossladyMo: Just submit your son's immunisation record/booklet showing the OPV taken...that's what I did for both my kids...and it was accepted, no questions asked.
They do that at times....asking for docs already submitted. No wahala...just send it to the email, and also upload it again. Thrn after like a week, if no response, call them again.
There is a slow down of 190 grants now though...people are already receiving the delay mail....so brace up, you might not be granted till July. Thanks bosslady. Do I need to notarize the OPV page? |

Hubby applied for a Masters in University of Melbourne, preparatory to touch down and guess what cos we have the pr , he was given a CSP ( Common wealth supported place). So he get to pay less than 9k for a course that he normally would have paid 36k dollars for. Nice one. Did u guys frontload docs before applying for the PR? Did ur hubby claim work exp. points? How long did u wait from application to grant? |

It takes about two weeks for the dollar card to be ready. It was 958k thereabout. |

Mayofikky: Hi, i experienced the same issue. I even called DIBP who also tried from the backend and still gave a decline message. To save yourself from the stress look for someone with a dollar account and ask the person to assist you in paying with his or her card (international card). Ours went through with the help of my friend who had Bank of America account / card. Hello All, Finally paid. A friend helped to pay with a Bank of America card. Na wa o. We thank God. UBKtech: The truth about this 9ja card issues is that cards from some banks work better than others.
A friend tried to use his Diamond bank card to no avail, even after going to the bank twice to enable the card. He switched to GTB and concluded his transaction on one go.
So save yourself the stress and try another bank. personally, I have only used GTB & ZENITH bank cards and they worked quite well. However, to avoid exchange rate abracadabra, I will advise you to go for US$ denominated card. You can get prepaid MasterCard or Visa card from any of the two banks above, load the dollar equivalent of the transaction amount plus a little extra, enrol for securecode or verified by visa and you are good to go.
Cheers! Mehn its been a roller coaster of a day today. Firstbank said i should contact DIBP that it aint their problem since its giving a straight decline. So i moved the money to GTB. It also declined. Moved to my wife's GTB, also declined. Next stop which i hope works, is to fund my wife's GTB dollar acct and request for a GTB dollar mastercard. Pls guys is this option a certainty? And how long does GTB take to deliver a dollar mastercard? The whole thingy is so annoying and tiring. |
