Please @bellong and @izykvision Mathematics is good and will sell here, but first of all, do your key duties in the brokerage firm allign with that required under ANZSCO? U need i think 1 or 2 yrs as a prove for vetassess, even if u aint gonna claim work exp. |

zobay: It Seems we don't have any one that has applied for actuary/mathematician/statistics in d house.
Can someone that studied statistics or mathematics apply for actuary?
What's the chance of getting positive assessment from vetassess?
Thank you I studied Statistics. Dont venture assessing under Actuary or Mathematics if you studied pure statistics. It's a sure negative outcome, even if u went to Havard. The 3 paths are close , but have very different course contents. |

bellong: Geology...
@piusford... When you grow up.. Ooh!. If u've done anything construction related then wld av suggested Vic. as that is booming now; Sydney as well. Think urs will be more of WA, if u ain't satisfied with SA. Darwin too is good, if you don't mind - Learnt they give accommodation in their packages. |

mamajaz: Weldone chief, to add a bit to what tyosho said, that mail you will respond to would have landed in your regular email account. So all you need do is open it & respond like you're responding to regular email. Ok, thanks |

tyosho: For the pm process, all you do is reply the mail sent you from nairaland.A simple hi as response is fine. That way the person who sent the mail receives your reply and gets your email address. Ooh ok, do see the emails, but had the mentality that it will be a portal where we login to see mails. Thanks |

SegunWamiri: Hmmmn Tasmania sponsorship.
Please guys who have ported for a while now, what can you say about this state? Any significant stuff that makes it worthy enough for one to seek sponsorship there or discourage one from seeking such? Before you think too far, i think Tasmania requires you to have a relative resident in Tasmania or employment offer in Tasmania. Verify! |

jayooh: That is less than a standard half plot in naija though, at that price, their land is really valuable. Is that in highbrow areas or medium or the less dense regions? Less dense regions. They are called growth areas. The developer buys a place like Ajah (Imagine when Lekki was the last bustop) and starts releasing it like biscuits (batches) - say Lekki Phase1, 2--10 and all the phases fall under one named estate like say Banana Island. Another example is the then Ikorodu or the then Ibafo. To get a block of land in a moderate/high density place, u will need to buy an old house (auction), demolish and then you have your land. |

moscow30: Hello House! Please for Visa Sub-Class 190, can I submit my EOI now or I need to wait to get state nomination before submitting my EOI?
Please it is urgent because all my document are ready except state nomination and TOEFL result, which I will be taking at the end of April. Depends on the state you are applying for. VIC requires your English and work Assessment only. You can register for EOI and get the no but not to submit if I can remember vividly. . |

Buddie14: Congrats Azy123 and chubbya2 on your positive assessments. I thought I would also be congratulated today but unfortunately I got a -ve assessment from Vetassess...something obviously must be wrong with my application. Please see below excerpts from Vetassess...the story too long I can't even seem to comprehend it:
"Nominated Occupation:Marketing Specialist (ANZSCO Code: 225113)
A positive assessment of both qualifications and employment is required for apositive Skills Assessment Outcome.
Skills Assessment Outcome:Negative
Please sirs/mas, help a brother. I need all the advice necessary for me to relaunch asap as I don't want this to dull me at all.
Thanks and God bless
cc: bellong Sorry to hear this Buddie. Without going through your job desc for those banks I can tell u that u were not doing the job of a marketing specialist. Relationship officers and Bank executives are not marketing specialists, they are more of packaged sales reps. An ideal marketing specialist is involved in market research and data analysis of customer purchase trends. However, in Australia or Melbourne specific, marketing specialist which you hardly see such titles - instead you see Marketing Consultants or Campaign Specialist, are more into creating campaign briefs, creating marketing content with brand teams or agencies, business case creation for a marketing campaign and are not required to be analytical - as in maths or stat academic background. With this I can already sense a divergence in your job description sent to VETASSESS. Moreover, its best you steer clear Marketing specialist as the sponsorship chances are slim being that only ACT and SA I think sponsor this occupation. Not checked for a while though. Except there have been changes, then ignore this last paragraph. |

Rett0: Nice one Bro. Great biz sense you've got. So inspiring...
Please! please!! please!!! one more question.
May I know how much a plot goes for so I have an idea what 10% will amount to? Thanks They are sold in square metres not plot. So 242ms - 280ms range between $160k -$200k in suburbs of melbourne. |

Rett0: Congrats Bro. Please I'm really interested in the land thing. Please can I have an idea on how you secured your 1st land and how repayments were that made you cash out in a very short time?
Can you throw more light on how to actualize this? A no of estates come up in developing areas. So a developer buys hectares of land and sells off the plan. As of early last year, it was fairly easy to get 5% deposit lands till title (when land is registered in the depositor's name at the title office) when the full balance is required, usually 1 yr span. So i bought it then- 5% deposit and sold before it titled at full price. Took my premium, my 5% deposit and paid off the developer. Now its more of 10% deposit developers ask for. The land value appreciates fast as well in traffic areas. Traffic as in choice areas. |

hello All,
Been a long while. Seen a quite of movement has happened for both new and old lads. Melbourne is cool and I thank God, it has been a fruitful land for me and my family. Just 2 months away from fulfilling my 2 yrs state nomination requirement, which means half way down to the main Pali..lol. Jobwise, I am on my 3rd professional job (all 3 brand names), previous 2 were contract roles...can't be more grateful to God. Both myself and wife are in Senior positions in our professional fields, and building in a choice estate from proceeds raised here (of course Mortgage). Infact building on my second land; cashed out on the 1st. So I can say its been great and all thanks and praises to God.
To encourage you guys, you can make it here. Don't come with the mind of pursuing care, security jobs - its a plan to fail. But in order not to deceive yourself, you need to package yourself properly before stepping MMA Lagos or wherever. That plan CANNOT commence here.
Get skilled up, develop yourself with courses, read books in your line, because u're coming to compete with people that already have these knowleadge as a Nitendo Game and of course your accent doesn't help, so your brain has to be beautiful.
Will try to be regular here.
Big ups to Bellong and others driving the train. |

You have to be prayerful and keep an open mind for the 489 visa. NT has a reputation of giving 489 Visa's to 190 applicants. Its a strategy to develop the territory. So even when you have applied for the 190 visa, try to manage your expectations. okpas12: Lucky you that marketing specialist is now being sponsored by northern territory. My advice is for you to get at least 10 points from English test to be able to apply for 190 because the truth is that you need at least 50points from age, qualification, english test and work experience for you to bag at least a total of 60points (assuming you are even considering 489) after being nominated by NT. |

If u did some financial modeling and other financial related modules, you can assess under Actuary for 189, but it is 50-50. There really has to be strong financial and some insurance content on your transcript to be +vely assessed under Actuary. weyabblog: NNBB2012 and other gurus pls reply.
