TemporaryHansel: That is good. The only advise I’ll give to you is that you should open businesses ( if you haven’t already) to legitimize yourself properly. Possible business ideas; Have a big farm, put kekes on the road, a restaurant shop etc. You should start tech too. With these, even if you stop what you’re currently doing, you can never be broke. again. What about the management? To open business no hard. Na to keep am running be the problem |

Unlimited22: Truth be told, I've wondered the same thing far too often.
Maybe it's the political elite (including Igbo politicians) who want to keep it that way because the masses will be too busy sniping at one another to truly do something about the deplorable state of the country.
Why the hell will I harbor hate for anyone because of tribe? I have travelled to and stayed in all 6 Geopolitical zones, with a total of 27 states. I have interacted with people from different tribes in each place I've been and I've seen the good and the bad.
The first day I came to Lagos, I got to Peace Park Surulere by 11pm after I missed my stop at Jibowu because I didn't know where I was and it was dark and the driver ignored me. I found my way to a military checkpoint, and a Staff Sergeant Effiong took me on his bike at no cost to me from Surulere to Nigerian Army Reference Hospital, Yaba. By 11.30pm.
When I nearly got lost in Jos, it was a group of Muslims that harboured me and gave me food until the person I was waiting for arrived.
I have nothing against any tribe. I only call out individuals who have refused to understand that people can be individually wicked and not use those opportunities to cast aspersions on my tribe and religion.
When I see the trajectory Nigeria has taken since amalgamation and I still see those rhetorics repeated decades later, you don't expect me not to be wary. I don't need to worry about Nigeria. I worry about my circle Leave Nigeria as it is. Nobody can change anything, except God intervenes. What you should worry yourself about removing yourself from a tribalistic circle. There are threads on NL i would never open sef. |

There have been protests up and down the country, someone actually called for the first lady to be killed, but na person wey dey Warri wey DSS 'invite' on terrorism charges as regards a protest concerning hardship. (BTW, I dey always laugh when our SS brethren think these people see anybody east of Ore or south of Katsina-Ala as anything other than Igbo)
We protest during Buhari time, them say we be wailers. We warned and warned before elections, now that the obvious has happened, people are wondering why we are quiet.
Nothing short of our extermination will satisfy Nigeria.
If Disstroy wakes up with a headache, Igbos must've been playing heavy metal in his dreams the night before. The truth is Disstroy was talking about his state. He didn't bring it here. He didn't come here to say don't marry Igbos (I mean, before the dragging started) His context was in the political space of Akwa-Ibom, which he has his right and opinion on. It is the same for Ondo, where Aketi made someone an LG whatever. The people revolted, but they haven't said Yorubas shouldn't marry Igbos. The context should always matter I once opposed when people were saying that White Igbo lady should be made a commisioner in Anambra. The guy was speaking from a political point of view. I pray and hope u don't get to see and learn these things first hand .
Whatever she wrote there is from a place of pain ! It hurts so bad seeing u sacrifice ur time , freedom and personal enjoyment to sit and nurse ur partner of many years like a baby and what do u get for it ? People who never loved him but profess their love on social media and newspapers denigrating u, calling u all sorts and some even claiming he would've lived long if he didn't marry u! Someone that died of a terminal disease that has no cure o.
U are writing "what a woman" as a clear headed man who don't know the sweet and blissful relationship the woman enjoyed with her husband for years and the bitterness and resentment she experience from his people outside their marriage . She nursed her husband from pain, but she would not let him resign for months that the whole state was pleading and begging? I have no business with how she loved her husband. People will talk. Love your wife so much and people will calll you "Woman wrapper". What is funny is acknowledging them in your own business. Na her tribute sha. |
