I saw the thread on front page and it seemed she is a generally troublesome person.
https://www.nairaland.com/8010534/akeredolus-wife-betty-writes-tribute

She is not the only governor wife yet she wan dey notorious like Obiano wife that year

Makinde, Dapo, Ajimobi, SanwoOlu, Ade-dancer Fayemi Obaseki, Uzodimma, Soludo etc all get wives you won't even know half of their names if you no google

Na she get her issue. She be like all those "I will just say my mind" girls

So now when she don call out current governor, if that one decides to "probe" her activities in past regime wetin go come happen? Then Aketi no go dey to defend
Aketi is gone

Like respect him enough not to give the spotlight to someone else.

Person wey no let her sick husband give power to deputy, still carry the fight come her own party?

Lol. Na embarrassment you dey find

That woman doesn't give two fvcks about the general talks.
She addressed those that attacked her when her husband was sick and he died.

That's not what I'm referring to . There was one ediot called Jimi Adeleke that was running his mouth talking about how she's a bad wife and saying Akeredolu would not have died if he married from his tribe . He said people from Betty's tribe only care about money .

He kept calling her a bad wife when he's not the one married to the woman . Akeredolu till his death has always expressed his love for the woman . But somehow people like that Jimi Adeleke have nothing but bad things to say about the woman they never lived with for one day .

People can say all sorts for political reasons ; but there are lines decent and reasonable people shouldn't cross . He kept making everything about her tribe , how she colonized him and how he married wrongly . I have little or no respect for people like that
And it is her husband's funeral that is the best place to call out Jimi?

Her husband's funeral?

What a woman!

Nwanne, there couldn’t have been a better time to give it to them hot! One year from now, only very few would even remember his anniversary, so this is the best time.

You think the bulk of them that gathered genuinely loved Akeredolu? The one wen be deputy wen dey grow Akeredolu style of beards, you no see his workings during and after baba die?

Nobody knows a man better than his wife and she knows more things than anyone of us, especially when you consider how long they had been together.

Na as e dey hot oh!
Give who hot?

E be like una no understand who win for this case!

Betty lost...

I don't know if they loved Aketi, but a wife who would watch her husband hold power till he died should have her love questioned.

It is her husband's funeral..Like give this guy some respect.

U can't blame her ; u are not in her shoes .

I was on TikTok and I saw disgusting videos Akeredolu's aides , some critics and opposition within same party made about this woman .

They said a whole lot of awful things that would make u cringe even as an unconcerned 3rd party . One ediot went as far as claiming Akeredolu's cancer was curable but Betty made sure it wasn't detected on time while shielding him from friends and families ; so invariably she caused his death . The man even claimed she going about her normal life while the husband was bedridden cos she wants to inherit him.

No man or woman will see all of those things and will take it in good faith . The woman most likely had her excesses ; but she never deserved to be treated the way some of those guys treated her . Like they never even for once thought she could've been their own sister .

I guess she was emotional penning that tribute down and wanted to hit all of them this last time she has the opportunity to do so. If u noticed she drag the current governor agbada too particularly about his allged abuse of his wife . She knows he now has power and her voice will no longer be heard ; so she just had to do it via that medium.

I really do not judge her for those words in her video because I don't how I will react in her position too. People grieve differently
Have you seen the thread on frontpage?

Just NL filled with people who don't know them. See the comments there, and you'll imagine what those she is accusing will say again.

She just gave them more to talk about. I cannot bring a fight to my own birthday party. I go clear you for outside; not on my own show

Like i said, it is her tribute. If she like, make she list the names.

Watch how they pounce on her from tomorrow, and Aketi would not be around to defend her.

good thing is the roads have drains. bad thing is they did not raise the finished level of the road . raising the road level will ensure it does not get flooded during rains. sucks for everyone else though.

The road will be flooded during heavy rainfall, but it will be clear after it stops.

It irks me that they bring innocent kids into this world to come and continue their generational poverty. People that should have no business making babies at all.

Funny enough, they always seem to know their way around women; their lack of ambition and laziness does not even scare the women that lay with them. Some of them even get to wife once-beautiful ladies.
Yes naa.

The BRT and rail is still cheaper compared to the service. No need to subsidize that one.

Rather, the subsidy should be moved to the commercial buses.

For me, put your agents in all commercial parks.

As these buses carry passengers, let the driver collect 75% of the fee, while the agent credits the 25% to the driver. That way, more areas will feel the impact

The only thing they need to do is work on a budget.

If na 100 million per month, so be it. If the 100 million finish on the 3rd of the month, We wait till the next one

This is just the koko. People like that abound in different areas of Lagos; especially old housing estates and private estates where their parents have been resident since 80's.

Me and my friend still discussed about those egbon adugbo this last Sunday. The last time both of us went to our old neighborhood we saw those egbons in pitiful state. U know seeing egbons wey don finish secondary school tey tey when u still dey primary 3.; seeing them lazying about still doing absolutely nothing productive till date.

Some of them have kids that are adults now; yet these egbons who married in their parent's flat just sit at junctions and "abe igi" watching out for any "omo ologo" driving by to buy them food and drinks. They practically live on billing people.

While some of them didn't proceed beyond secondary school, some of them actaully have OND and HND, didn't get job after few years and just gave up the dream. They never bothered to learn any trade nor go into buying & selling.

Just like u, I believe having a roof over their head was their albatross. On saturdays they go to event centers, attend as many parties as they can, eat and drink to their fill
In Lagos, the major problem that will spur you to hustle is house rent.

You can drink water and biscuit in 366 days, but having a place to sleep is most important. Once you have this, almost all problems are easier

These guys have a particular routine

Wake up
Hang around Mama puts to see who go pay for food
Move to Bet9ja shops and hang around there
By evening, move to a local bar to look for one or two bottles
Go home late to sleep.

Very common in places like Festac and Surulere

Men with white beards and two kids doing nothing, as long as housing is taken care of.
