A guy who drinks more than you, who visits beer parlours in the South East, who hasn't seen Osofia in Hero flyer, tells you that Hero is a shitty beer, and the guy who sits in his house in Lagos, who thinks Hero is the best beer in the South East, what does that tell you about the guy who sits in his house in Lagos?

I believe you're the one who is making a complete mockery of yourself my guy.

The thing is, I dislike Goldberg more than Hero, yet I know what Goldberg is because of the high level of patronage.

When someone tells you he visited a particular place, the prudent thing to do is investigate if he actually visited those places, you don't debate based on your limited exposure and knowledge.

PS: I've never tasted Goldberg or Moore. See why you're making a complete mockery of yourself. grin

Have a nice night.
When Disstroy drags you, i used to think it was because of an old beef. But now, i understand better.

Hero is a shitty beer and has no ad in the SE because Shaqfu said so.

I hope this helps you sleep soundly tonight.

Anybody can be anything online, yes, this is why those who lie online are always busted. So you're talking nonsense.

I gave specific location in my hood, if I was lying, nihilistjnr and raumdeuter would have called me out.

I didn't know and care to know Osofia is a brand ambassador for Hero lager because Hero lager is a shitty beer, yet I know the brand Ambassador for Goldberg and Life Lager beer. And no, I mean South East Nigeria.

You can not sit in your house in Lagos, and start debating with someone who has traveled this country.
Anybody in Lagos that visits beer parlours, would know that Olamide is an ambassador for Goldberg

He/She would have also seen Phyno, or Flavour on a Life flyer

But a guy who drinks more than me, spent almost all his holidays in the SE, has not seen Osuofia or Zoro on a Hero flyer in a beer parlour.

You are starting to make a mockery of yourself, my guy.

Like i said...You don't like the beer? Its fine

But coming here to cap lies will make people see you as Otumba Lamba

I hope you enjoyed the SE this holiday, drinking Goldberg and Moore

I said it's a shitty beer. You had to call me out with what exactly? Facts? Which facts? Kindly point me to it because i didn't see it.

You told me here not to debate based on the beer brands in the beer parlour I patronize, I asked when was the last time you visited the South East, you ignored the question.

You're debating with someone who spends most of his Christmas and New Year holiday in the South East.

Na WA oh.
Anybody can be anything online

I spend most of my Christmas in Texas. Ask Raumdeuter

I spend most of my Easter in UK. Ask nihilistjnr

You are always in the SE for most of the Christmas and New year holding, yet you don't know that Osuofia and Zoro are Hero ambassadors.

Maybe you meant South East Asia

Funny how you now focused on it and carefully avoided all other things I said.

Bro, don't sit in your house in Lagos and tell people who travel the country what is obtainable where they travel to.
You said it is a shitty beer, and I agreed that it is, because i don't like it too

But when you said it is below the ladder, i had to call you out for such a false statement, and i ensured i gave you facts.

Nigerian Breweries had Star and Gulder brands for decades, but they had to create a new brand, called it LIFE, and signed celebrities of the Eastern extraction so they can compete with Hero.

If this does not tell you that Hero is a force to reckon with in the SE, i don't know what will

While you are here rating it below Moore, a Marketing manager in NBPlc is having sleepless nights because of it.

Suddenly, you have left your false statement of not having brand ambassadors to the size of the person

They shouldn't have looked for another person, right?

Because the brewery IS NOT A PRIVATE BUSINESS. a government of a Nigerian state invested in it. The governor of the state at the time also bought shares in it.

2bn naira of Anambra state money was invested in it.
So it is no longer a 'private concern'

Everyone with a stake in the company is responsible for the decisions the company takes. It is why you see businesses jettisoning their relation with kanye West. Because whatever he does or says also reflects on his partners.

This is also business 101. The actions of your business partners reflect on you.
You are just throwing points here and there, hoping one will stick.

Anambra state is in the SE. So, yes, they most likely bought the idea of using a logo that will appeal to the people. Your cry would have been valid if it was Zamfara state money, or Osun state money.

So what is your next point? Anambra is in Nigeria, so it is Nigeria's money?

Branding is a very very big deal in business. How is it that with all the logos and symbols, what Anambra state govt and Peter obi, the Nigerian advisors could come up with was a logo celebrating biafra?

There is no way he did not sigh off on it or maybe even suggest it.

I will repeat, I was in an lbs course and the lecturer who was incidentally Ibo was really enthused about the master stroke

The man said biafra veterans would literally Salute the bottle before drinking it.

If the beer had different branding - ndigbo, ohaneze or something along those lines - but a seceesionist movement? And a state of Nigeria and its governor are funding it?

We are already bothered about sharia up north. If kano started a Sharia suya factory, I am sure a lot of Nigerians would have something to say about that.
Sir, in all sincerity, I am struggling to grasp your point in this comment.

We as Nigerians, should even be ashamed that some white company, saw an opportunity and took advantage of it, right under our noses

SabMiller produces Castle, Grand malt and other brands. Is that also a secessionist product?

We can keep wailing about how the beer will divide Nigeria. They have counted today's profits, waiting for tomorrow's own.

This post has ignorance written all over it.

Hero beer is made by the same company that makes Trophy beer, Trophy stout, beta malt and budweiser in Nigeria.

While I was growing up Trophy beer was referred to as "ọtí Iléṣà" meaning Iléṣà beer. Most adults who were in the middle class would not touch it because they believe it's quite cheap and reserved for those who want to flex but don't have much cash to spare. Trophy beer did not gain much general acceptance until maybe after the global meltdown ( if I can remember correctly). It was only after then people started regarding Trophy as one of the cool beer brands.

Anybody who has ever taken a course in marketing will tell u the branding of hero beer that way simply target marketing. You offer a product and brand it such that it appeals to Ur target market who share common characteristics that influence their buying behaviors.
