InfinityEstates: Guys, I guess today is #DebtRecoveryMonday. I have 2 cases.
Case 1 So there's this woman I dropped off on the 20th of February. Madam wanted to make a transfer (N1,700). Against my better judgement, I accepted since I felt she looked 'responsible'. She tried making the transfer and there was network issues with her bank (Fidelity Bank). I had another rider waiting for me and I left with her promising to transfer the money as soon as there was network. She didn't make any transfer. I called her the next day and she told me there was still no network that was why she didn't send it. Tried calling her two days later and she didn't pick her calls. Tried with other numbers, still same. Sent her series of messages, no response. I got tired and stopped. This is her number: 09066900466 Truecaller says her name is Onyeka.
Thanks guys. She has been busy washing clothes for weeks

dru23: Adenuga, has paid his dues? When he was working is ass off, you were busy running around in your diapers, A man that has paid his dues, can do whatever he likes, .. Some still wrk late, not because they have to ,but they are motivated by finding solutions to problems...
Young man, nothing is easy bro, this life is never fair and you have to get use to it .. And the unfortunate thing here is , if you guys were giving an opportunity, I don't feel confident enough that you guys will make the best out of it.
Most Nigerian just want to get rich, without putting in the work. If any Nigerian under 40yrs becomes president, they will more than likely become more corrupt than the ones before them.. The feeling of I have suffer enough, must chop my own etc .. The corruption has eaten the fabric of the society that it is broken beyond repairs... A typical example is friend that I try to help. He mismanaged the business and today he is barely making it by .. His family member pleaded with me to help him and get a car for him .. I will never help me again, I did my best and now let God do his own best for him .. Not that am mad at him , I just know that there is not enough confidence that this guy is ready to work .. Unfortunately this is the mind set of most Nigerians ,either young or old.. So sad ,but this is the reality that I have seen and experience..... There's no where I said Adenuga did not work his asss off There is no where I said Adenuga has not paid his dues There is no where I said anything demeaning about him. Your long quotes makes no meaning for now, sir My point is, Adenuga doesn't stay in his office till 1am everyday. A very big lie, and forever will it remain a big lie. And how you guys come here to say Drivers are lazy and all that is not my business. Everyone is entitled to his opinion. I do not want to involve myself with that argument That said, Good morning my oga |

deedee44: I met some drivers 3 days ago where I parked to have a little rest. As we were gisting about the challenges we face on this job, one of them said he drove a girl from ikeja gra to lekki and fare was 5200. The girl's boyfriend (who made the request I think) did a failed transfer . To cut long story short it's over 3 weeks now and the man just kept posting him. I told him to give me proof, that I know people who can help him get it if they want to. Below is his most recent conversation with the man as at March 5 when we met, I also called the driver few minutes for updates and he said the man doesn't pick his calls anymore. deedee44: Comrade Izzo, she has a point. For now, International airport is the best entry point for the virus. The best way for an uber driver to avoid getting infected is to switch off his app, lock himself in his house and sleep. As long as you wake up everyday, you life is in God's hands. The person you'll pick in his house may have gotten it from someone that got it from someone that got it from someone that arrived Nigeria yesterday through Seme border But then, she still has a point |

Someone carried you to your destination. Fare was displayed You walked away saying "You'll pay when Bolt reviews it"
What sorta rubbish is this? Why not pay the money and report the issue to Bolt? Na the driver design the app?
If that guy had fought her now, we will be seeing nonsense on instablog
I'm happy she paid without much drama.
PS: Advice her to use the bus next time. It's very cheap, and she wouldn't have to wait long hours for a review |

sexylassie: My point is if advanced countries can shut down their towns, cities and school and limit international flight from entering their country, why cant you as an individual also limit and reduce the risk of contacting the disease espcially in a developing country like Nigeria with a broken health system
if a good number of International flight have been checked, how come an italian with the virus landed in Algeria? How come the virus is in france, italy, finland, spain, isreal, greece, austia, Australia, Kuwait, india, Pakistan, Switzerland,US, UK,Estonia, Denmark, south korea,Romania, norway, germany, in japan, in iran? a virus that started in wuhan, is now all over the world, how come?
This basically shows that International airports, flights and other means of international transportation were one of the reasons why the virus spread to other countries very fast.
also the virus incubation period is 7-14 days, it means that if an individual contact the virus, he wont show signs of illness until 7-14 days
japan recently shut down its public schools over the virus
https://punchng.com/japan-shuts-down-public-schools-over-coronavirus/
if these virus can be over the world, i believe this virus is in Nigeria already especially with almost 120,000 Chinese flying in and out of Nigeria and also Nigerian business men and women flying into Nigeria. one of them them must have brought this virus here but the govt is trying hard to control the news so that people wont panic Like Gazz suggested, maybe you should read up. I'll also suggest you read about their continents, how they connect geographically too You don't need to travel by air to move around European countries. Even in Nigeria for example, people move to West African countries mostly by road, than by air. People move to Cameroun through the sea, than by air. People go to Libya and Niger mostly by road than by air These people are the ones you may likely seat with in a bus, exchange money with, buy and sell to, hug and shake. Let's just agree to disagree. But my point is, one is more likely to get the virus outside the airport, than around it. |

sexylassie: Lol
It is up to drivers to do what it seems fit to do even avoiding passengers from the airport till this virus is eradicated after all some countries are not issuing visa to visitors, for instance Saudi Arabia and some countries in the middle east have place a temporary ban on visitors.
For a country like Nigeria without good health care, the best preventive measures will be to stop picking inbound passengers for now till the situation is calm globally..as they say, prevention is better than cure.
I strongly believe that this virus will land in our shores, Nigeria isn't taking the issue seriously, now is the time to ban flight especially from affected countries but nothing like that is being done, we are on our own. Okay So drivers should not accept trips from airports, but they can accept from houses, offices, eateries, and all other parts of the country? Is there any inscription on the forehead for those that landed using an international flight? A good number of international passengers have been checked from their departure before they boarded the plane, especially those from European countries. As much as we ought to be careful, the airport may actually be more safer than the local market or mall. Kindly hand over the phone to sexylassie please. The one I know won't think this way |

sexylassie: Aren't you drivers especially those who pick up passengers from the airport scared of coronavirus, this virus is spreading like wild fire, in no time, this virus will land our shore, some uber and taxify drivers might be the first point of this virus, have you kept protective measures in place, know that if you catch this virus from a rider, this e hailing companies you worship so badly will abandon you.
This virus is in every almost continent except south america, in Africa, Algeria is the first country to have it, it was brought by an Italian who knew he had the virus.
Instead of arguing aimlessly, prepare for coronavirus because I am sure that when this virus land our shores, Lagos is in trouble, it will practically destroy our health care system. No offense, but I can't see any meaning in this How is an uber driver supposed to protect himself from the virus? He shouldn't pick people from the airport, but pick people outside the airport? Or better still, in your benevolence, kindly tell us how an average Nigerian can actually protect himself from the virus. I find the phrase "arguing aimlessly" very insulting. This is our thread, our parlour and our lounge We come here to laugh, fight, have fun do whatever we like It's a free entry thread, but don't come and tell us that we argue aimlessly. sexylassie: yes! but lets be realistic, she didnt pay her bills, how is her codedrun profile now the matter
the situation is she didnt pay her bills, sincerely speaking i am not concern about what she does for living, it is her life....basically lets just start reporting all women and men on codedruns to their family member, do you think it will reduce prostitution and stop people from going into the trade. I think you're misunderstanding the point (or my point) Nobody cares if she's a prostitute. I don't care. One of my closest friend in ehailing is a whorrre. We talk a lot, and i don't care. Codedruns came in because she scammed a driver, insulted him, blocked him, rinsed and repeated the process for his colleagues that pleaded. If she was working in Gtbank or Shell, i can confidently tell you that we would still have reached out to her colleagues or her employers. Stop making it look like people attacked her more because she hoes around. No. They attacked her because she was a remorseless, wicked thief. Uber drivers carry whorres every weekend, yet how many come here to expose them? Or have you seen anyone come here to post the details of an ashawo that paid him his fare? Common You and I are both on the same page of "we-will-not-involve-her-family". I wouldn't do that too But do i pity her? Hell No. The moment she walked out that man's door without paying, she made up her mind for evil. This is the consequence. Let her handle it with the same mindset she used to scam |

sexylassie: if she had refused to pay, it is up to you to use whatever you seem fit to collect your money, i know that online shaming can be effective in collecting debt but it shouldn't also be used to ridicule or blackmail a family to the extend of the victim committing suicide to save face, i still stand with my word, in a sane society, even in detention, she can still sue, also sue taxify and could also lead to the ban of the guy you guys are helping
to be sincere, i supported the action of your guys in calling her out but once you guys started involving parent, family members and class mates, i was against it, that is carrying it to far.
i am sure, it was her number you used to track her to coded runs, also we shouldnt forget that her face was covered, Well said, but you didnt answer my question izzou: If this girl had refused to pay, even after all our efforts and someone went on to reveal her codedruns history to her family, would you still be angry? Business › Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by izzou(m): 7:31pm On Feb 24, 2020 |
sexylassie: I am not against calling anybody to pay her debt, my main problem is including family members into this matter, if someone own you, you have the right to collect it in a more civil matter without involving family members, this problem happened between the driver and the rider not between her, her family and the driver, in a more civilised country, she can sue and will win. Win wetin? Did anybody hack her phone to get her coded runs CV? When you paste something on the internet, you post it for the world to see. Or is it only Unilag and Covenant people that will see it? Maybe Invictus Obi should sue the FBI for getting his mail from nairaland. If she goes to court, she'll first be chilling in detention before talking about sueing whoever But let me ask you a question ma? Be honest oh If this girl had refused to pay, even after all our efforts and someone went on to reveal her codedruns history to her family, would you still be angry? |

Come to think of it, how many men pic have been posted here after committing the same act, the reality is many of you are scared to confront your felow men who defrauded you. You're getting it wrong ma I don't know if you've been following this thread, but we do put in a lot of effort in searching for our "sweat" from scammers First, we bombard with calls, and when it's unfruitful, we dig deep There was a woman that scammed a driver here and she never paid till today. There are men too. The reason is because their numbers have no presence on the internet. I have a number that scammed me till today and I can't find her So it's not about males being scared of males. It's just an unfortunate girl that, despite having all her info on the internet, decided to do the crime I hope you'll be here when another lady scams a driver, and we won't have anything on her |
Business › Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by izzou(m): 5:47pm On Feb 24, 2020 |
sexylassie: The reality is this:
The enemy of a man is another man like himself not a woman
who will rob another man when he has nothing-- another man like him who will kill another man just for fun- another man like him who will scam defraud a man-another man like him who will steal, kill and rape his woman- another man like him who will kidnap him, his wife and children-another man like him who will steal his car and property-another man like him
90% of crimes are carried out by men to attack other men, men thinking women are their problems are the weak and frustrated ones, they cant stand the strong men, to have a sense of superiority, they take their anger on women, see those men when arguing with their fellow men, you will pity for them.
Sincerely, I do not want to quote you, but I just can't help it. Pardon me As much as I won't want her life ruined, or her family to be embarrassed by her choices, this is the CONSEQUENCE OF SCAMMING THAT GUY. I wouldn't want a thief to be killed, but if he is killed, it's the consequence of his action This was the same girl that was insulting, not just the scammed driver, but everyone that tried to reach her. She knew what she was doing, but she didn't know people were heartless like her If there was no information about her on the net, would you be saying this? Stop all these gender banters, ma When people make up their mind to commit evil, they know what they are up for. The driver could have arrested her, killed her or even injured her if he saw her again. That's called CONSEQUENCE Still forgive me for quoting you. Couldn't help it |
