@ I-man,

I cant believe ma eyes.
They cant even string 5 passes together going forward.
Anderson is the revelation of the season . . . . .he has taught Fab4 one or 2 things abot football.
Won tackles, dominated the MF more and have been so brilliant.

Anutha goal from Tev will seal this game.

GOALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ROONEY is the man in form.
He keeps poppin whenever we need him.

Anderson is the best midfielder in the premiership.
He has kept Fab4 and Flamini pretty quiet.
The only thing Fab has done today was to deliver a free-kick.
Gosh . . . . . .I love Man Utd.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by Jackal(m): 2:39pm On Nov 03, 2007
ROONEY silences the goons of the EMIRATES.

What a shrug off by Brown.
What an assist by Ronaldo(his first meaningful contribution)
What a finish by Wazza?

What do u guys think about Anderson?
He has been able to keep Fab4 quiet than a church rat.
Now. . . . . . .show us what u got.
Come and break us down.

@ whitelexi,

I can't believe what u are saying.
So u want to compare that Liverpool team to Man United?
A team that has only conceded 4 goals in 11 games? Be objective for once.

Have u seen your team list? Wenger kept faith with the same team that went to Liverpool.
Arsenal is playing 4-5-1 in their own backyard . . . . How sick is that?
Anyways, Evra and Giggs are the only changes for Man Utd . . . . .It simply means Owen will shackle Fab4 and Anderson to terrorise Flamini. grin grin
Nani, Carrick and Saha on the bench to change the course of the game if we don't score 4 goals in 1st half. . . . . .

United all the way . . . . . . . Watch out for Ronaldo/Clicjy duel.

No one is dancing naked this time around.
The only dude that should dance naked is that self-servicer called DAVID DEIN.
He manipulated the fixtures on the computers before leaving Arsenal . . . .what a Arrow.

I just realised why Arsenal has been so strong and leading the pack with a game in hand.
Arsenal has played 10 league games . . . .and 8 OF THEM WAS PLAYED IN LONDON.
They traveled out of London twice and they dropped points on both occasion.
Is there a conspiracy at the very top to put this shitty London club on the map again?

Loyika . . . . .please respond!

Look at this buncha cowards.

Vieira, Eldee and MC Omo . . . . .
I am so disappointed in u.
United lads have put the fear of the Lord in ur crooked hearts.

It has gone from lack of appetite to insomniac and to stomach bug.
The match hasnt started yet and these niggaz wanna kill emselves . . .
What will happen if Fergie's boys triumph?

I am warning y'all for the last time.
Arsenal will lose this one. It is written . . . . The siege will be too much for Wenger and his goons.
United has so many match winners in its ranks who are capable of turning the match with a moment of brilliance.
The only dude with a magic wand in Arsenal is . . . . .Almunia. grin grin grin

@ Vieira,

I would have loved to hook up with u but this one is too close to call.
Anything short of 3 points will get me knackered and i will be so pissed to drink or celebrate.
A draw is not even good enough for me cos i know my team packs more HEAT than a DESERT EAGLE.
With Saha and Carrick back in the team . . . . . .we should thrash Arsenal but Howard Webb is a bloody homer.
How i wish Steve Bennett/ Mike Riley was chosen to officiate this sizzling encounter . . . . .

I think u have a rotten luck of being born in the wrong century . . . U should have perished with the TITANIC.
Calcio ma ass . . . .Do u know how many times English clubs have gone to Italy to disgrace the so called Italians.
I remember Man Utd beating Juve 3-2 at Turin in 1999 and beating em 3-0 in 2003.
What about Arsenal's demolition of Inter Milan @ San Siro or Liverpool's emphatic effort in the Champions league of 2005.

What do i expect from a simpleton like u.
You are one of those ninnies who still live and thrive on past glory . . . . .Hate it or love it, EPL reigns supreme these days.
Why should anyone even take Italian footie serious? A league that has been ravaged by massive bribery and corruption.
Roma, AC Milan and Juventus were all involved in match-fixing scandals so we don't reckon with your stupid league that is devoid of fair play.

@ Razorr,

Thanx for taking good jabs at Loyika.
I was dying to hit him below the belt but i got me hands full all day.
Anyways . . . . .tomorrow's match is a buzz already.
Every pub/club/bar/restaurant is talking about what might happen or what might go wrong.
The schitzo even suffered anutha twist when Saha and Carrick made the team that traveled down to London tonight.

United boys are in town . . . . . . .
These are the names of the young'uns that traveled tonight:
Van der Sar, Kuszczak, Brown, Simpson, Ferdinand, Vidic, Pique, Evra, O'Shea, Ronaldo, Fletcher, Hargreaves, Carrick, Anderson, Giggs, Nani, Tevez, Rooney, Saha.
The late inclusion of SAHA makes ma heart quiver . . . . .lets hope he doesnt get injured again using the elevators in a London hotel. grin grin grin
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Jackal(m): 2:45pm On Nov 02, 2007
@ Loyika,

A draw suits Man Utd better than Arsenal.
First all, this is an opportunity for Arsenal to go 3 points clear WITH A GAME IN HAND as they play at HOME.
If the game ends in a DRAW . . . . .Y'all still have to come to OT next year and if United wins that . . .it could be the difference come MAY 2008.

Should United lose . . . .we shall take consolation in the ability to bounce back and start winning games again.
We have done it before . . . .we lost to Arsenal HOME and AWAY last season and still finished 21 points ahead of y'all.
United won 8 games after both losses last season and they never allowed the defeat to undermine their confidence.

However, should Arsenal lose . . . there's a big question mark on that.
Everyone knows Arsene is not the best in rallying his boys back whenever they suffer a massive defeat in the hands of Man Utd.
U must agree with me United is SAFE either way. . . . . . but i am confident we shall nick the 3 points.

OPTA stats has just shown that its EVENS between Ferguson and Wenger.
I dont care what Myles Palmer has been telling u in arsenalmania or gunnerblog.net . . . .OPTA is the leading soccer stats in UK.
If u have got proof to back your claims up . . . . please bring it out and lets sort this head to head thingy. tongue tongue tongue

Tevez to score anutha brace tomorrow!! Whatchuthink? cool cool cool
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Jackal(m): 1:17pm On Nov 02, 2007
@ Loyika,

How slimy can u be?
Now, u agree with Alan Hansen's comment?
The same self-servicer that said Arsenal has no chance this season when Henry left the Emirates?
Anyways, we shall see what pans out tomorrow . . . .
One thing u ought to have in mind is . . . .young kids don't play with caution, they get carried away.
Gilberto and Giggs might be the only veterans(outfield players) playing tomorrow.
The others are kids who will be having a go as the match progresses . . . . . I am licking ma lips already.

P.S. Buying Vieira(midfielder) 3.5 million pounds in 1996 is FUCKING expensive.

Meanwhile, guns are different from GUNS.
You cannot compare a dane gun with a desert eagle . . . .
Roma had guns when they got slammed 7-1 . . . . .Wenger also had guns when United bludgeoned Arsenal 6-1 some years ago.
You need to come up with a better defense of your team and stop talking guns . . . . .
I agree Arsenal knows the Emirates inside out and they know how to measure the weight of their passes than their opponents.
However, never under-estimate the power of United's counter-attack . . . .Fergie's greatest weapon.
Can Man Utd repeat the HIGHBURY showdown by battering Arsenal 4-2?
With the HOLY TRINITY in form . . . .its NOT IMPOSSIBLE!!!!!!!!!!

@ Loyika,

You are a monkey!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A PH monkey if i may add.
Cougar mentioned Dennis Bergkamp in error . . . .At least, i understood the points he was trying to make.
He was only trying to say Wenger does splash the cheddarz most times unlike people think.

Back to footie . . . . .
You know me too well . . . I will be the first to comment/congratulate the GAYnners here if United lose to Arsenal tomorrow.
United lost both games home and away and i was here to speak ma opinion.
All i am asking for is fair-play . . . . .i wont forgive y'all if u win by dodgy decisions. grin grin grin grin

I wont make excuses for losing IF You WIN PRETTY.
However, the consequences of losing is not the same for both teams.
Should United lose . . . .they will bounce back instantly . . . The last time they lost, they won 8 league games in a trot.
Should Arsenal lose AT HOME . . . .I don't really think they have got the fibre and resilence to bounce back.
Why? because the INVINCIBLES never bounced back and that's where i think Arsenal has a lot more to lose either way.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Jackal(m): 11:51am On Nov 02, 2007
@ I-man,

I made those points before.

Take Derby's game and all the penalties they have scored out and u will be amazed.
Derby County is a nympho to the BIG 4 . . . .conceded 5 against Arsenal and 6 against Liverpool.
If United had played em before now . . . .we would have scored more 25+ goals already!!!!!

Anyways, i'm also hoping Arsenal don't turn the game into a repeat of the Carling Cup final.
Twats like Eboue and Cesc will want to rile Ronaldo and Rooney to get em booked . . . .they always love playing against 10 men.
One more thing . . . . .whats the true stat concerning Wenger Vs Fergie head to head games.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Jackal(m): 11:32am On Nov 02, 2007
@ I-man,

Spot on, son!!!!!!!!!!!
I expect Ferguson to give him a run against Dynamo Kiev when they visit OT next wednesday.
Carrick and Saha should be given a run as well cos it will be a bonus if all the injured players come back ASAP.
Wes Brown as a RB is just out of place for me . . . .He wont give us anything going forward which is a minus for Man Utd.

Asides that, i think we are good to go.
Its up to Arsenal to step up their game and try to score Man Utd.
United's defence line is pretty tight and i am convinced we can keep a clean sheet at the Emirates.
It's also highly possible we score goals considering the players we have in the attack . . . Roo-Tev-Ron cant be stopped for 90 mins.

Whatchuthink?

Why cant people read well before posting?
Lemme break u something proper . . . . .

When i was mentioning Fergie's students . . . .it was in respect to Hitzfeld/Ferguson comparison and not Arrigo Sacchi and Fabio Cappello.
Always take time to read ma posts before jumping off like a damaged .38 automatic pistol.
Now that u have mentioned Capello and Sacchi . . . , do they have the number of titles Ferguson has copped in Aberdeen and Man United?
Ferguson has tutored many people as a manager . . . .His side-kick(Carlos Queiroz) had a stint with Real Madrid for a season.

Mark Hughes, Steve McClaren, Walter Smith, Alex McLeish, Steve Bruce, Roy Keane . . . .all these peops learnt under Ferguson.
If u combine all the factors that makes a good manager . . . . Ferguson beats everyone hands down.
This is why i think he is the greatest living manager on planet earth.

Whatchuthink? Should he start ahead of Brown on saturday?
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Jackal(m): 6:14pm On Nov 01, 2007
@ A-40,

What are u talking about?

Wenger himself said Arsenal is NOT GREAT until they win the Champions League.
My friend, a manager has to win in Europe before he can be considered great.
Besides, Carling Cup has also evaded Arsene for 11 good years so what do u have to say to that?
A manager that has failed to WIN any title for 3 years . . . .never won in Europe and never won a domestic title as cheap as Carling cup is WACK.

On Ferguson . . . . .
Definitely, there was nothing really at stake when we played y'all last season.
United lost that match just like we lost against Pompey and West Ham.
Since the exit of Vieira and Keane . . . .Arsenal V Man Utd match is no longer what it used to be . . .It has lost its glamour.
Arsenal was 17th on the table when we played y'all guys . . . .this time around, u are on top of the league.
It will be a different issue this weekend . . . . Although, the result of the match has no bearing on where the title is going.
Its still a handful of matches and a run of bad results can stop the winner on saturday from clinching the title.

One more thang . . . .
I need to ask u a question about some ninnies that crawl around this forum.
If u can't stand someone do u go near him? Well . . . for most LOGICAL heads, the answer is NO.
So why on earth do some lunkheads come here and hurl balderdash about certain people. It defies logic, i must admit.
If you don't like what someone is posting in THEIR OWN TEAM'S FORUM then don't come into the forum and read their comments.
Is this so difficult for some assholes to grab? Gosh . . . . .i give up on the STUPIDITY of some peops.

That list is dodgy.
Wenger hasnt done enough to merit top 10 list but then u never know.
I think consistency is also a key here. . . . . . .which might count in favour of Le Arse's gaffer.
The stat shows Arsene has never failed to take Arsenal into UCL campaign . . . that could have been the reason why he makes top 10.

Back to the subject . . . . .
Seriously, u gotta admit Ferguson leads the pack.
Tell me any student/assistant of Hitzfeld that manages a top-flight team.
I am not talking Salzburg . . . . .Le Chacal is talking about national football teams.
SportsRe: Who's The World's Best Football Coach? by Jackal(m): 3:58pm On Nov 01, 2007
@ tkb417,

As a matter of fact, i don't really reckon with the list.
The list is kind of biased.
Arsene Wenger was ranked 10th, Mourinho was 16th, Lippi 17th, Scolari 18th, Del Bosque 19th and Capello 21st.
How did they arrive at such kizzack? Wenger above Capello?
Something must be wrong somewhere . . . . .Lemme get the URL for u on ma iPod-touch. grin grin grin grin grin

@ Dayokanu,

U mentioned Hitzfeld has moved from Switzerland to Dortmund and now Bayern AND that Fergie should move up?
Where else do u want Fergie to go? He is in the biggest club of the biggest league in the whole world.
He transformed a poor Man utd club into a global brand . . . . .Fergie's amazing management skills brought wealth to Man Utd.
Ferguson took over the club when everything was pear-shaped . . . .he turned things around and we all know what the answer is.
Therefore . . . . he has nowhere else to go, he currently manages the richest/biggest club in the world.
Geddit?
SportsRe: Who's The World's Best Football Coach? by Jackal(m): 3:21pm On Nov 01, 2007
@ Dayokanu,

Whatz wrong with u?
Dont let us beef again with ur comments.

I mentioned Ferguson's students as football managers of elite clubs in the world and u are naming SALZBURG?
For Bleep's Sake . . . . .Roy Keane was still a player as at 2 years ago and now he is managing a club in the PREMIERSHIP.
Gordon Strachan manages CELTIC . . . .Steve McClaren manages England, Walter Smith manages Scotland . . . .they all learnt under FERGUSON.
Mentioning all those clubs is like me naming PAUL INCE who now manages MK DONS and Darren Ferguson of PETERSBOROUGH.
Wait a minute . . . . .Is SALZBURG listed on UEFA club ranking? tongue tongue tongue

Hitzfeld keeps moving about because he is not comfortable.
Man United would have booted Ferguson out if he was under-performing at Man Utd.
Ferguson always deliver and mind u . . . . .he took over Man Utd when United was not only POOR but always fighting RELEGATION.
Man Utd in 1986 is like Derby County/ Sunderland of today so dont even mention Ferguson's name in the same breath with Hitzfeld.

Ferguson is so good . . . . .he made REAL MADRID a dumping ground for Man Utd rejects.
Carlos Quieroz, Van Nistelrooy, David Beckham and Gabriel Heinze!!!!!!
Next year, Giggs-Neville and Scholesy will be shipped to Real Madrid to offer em more experience. grin grin grin
Dont get it twisted . . . .Hitzfeld is also a living LEGEND but he doesnt come close to Ferguson.

P.S. Are u aware of this list of top 50 managers? Hitzfeld was ranked 31st while Ferguson was ranked 4th.
All the peops that ranked above Ferguson are all DEAD. grin grin grin grin
In that wise . . . . .Ferguson is the greatest living manager on the planet.

GAYnners get carried away a lot and it amuses me when they come up with Wenger is this . . .Arsenal is that.
If u look at it critically . . . . .it's the Cockney tabloids that over-hype Arsenal beyond their capabilities.
Dont u just find it funny when GAYnners are constantly referring to Arsenal as being so good even though they are just kids?
Guess what? The average age of the ARSENAL SQUAD is LESS THAN A YEAR YOUNGER than United's squad. . . .
Spot the difference?
Fergie won the title last season but Wenger is yet to win anything with his KIDS. grin grin grin
SportsRe: Who's The World's Best Football Coach? by Jackal(m): 2:21pm On Nov 01, 2007
@ tkb417,

Dont be fooled by Dayokanu's antics.
Lets sum up the overall achievements in terms of titles won, man-management, player development and continuity.
You are making it sound as if Ferguson never won anything in Europe . . . . .He won with Aberdeen and Man Utd.

Now lets look at the areas where Hitzfeld does not measure up.
Hitzfeld has not won 1/3 of the titles Ferguson has won as a manager.
Ferguson has been managing Man Utd now for over 2 decades(continuity). If he's not good . . . . he would have been kicked out.

Alex Ferguson's man management skills cannot be quantified . . . . .he is simply a GENIUS.
The Knight not only unearth global brands like Beckham and Scholes . . .he made football managers out of the players that played under him.
Steve Bruce, Mark Hughes, Bryan Robson and Keano(Premiership) and the managers of Scotland and Celtic were all Fergie's students.

Where are the former students of Hitzfeld.
The last time i checked, i heard Effenberg and Carsten Jancker are into porn industry.
Being a great manager is NOT ONLY about winning titles in Europe . . .
It is about ruthlessness, leadership, bravery, knowledge of the game, a willingness to trust one's instincts and to be decisive.

Now tell me . . . . .Do u really think Capello and Hitzfeld come close to Alex Ferguson?
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Jackal(m): 1:58pm On Nov 01, 2007
@ tkb417,

There's nuthing u wont read on Nairaland.
If winning the CL does not define a great manager then i wonder what defines a great manager.
Wenger himself said ARSENAL is not a great team UNTIL they win the Champions league.

Wenger is as crappy as Alan Pardew as far as the word GREATNESS is concerned.
In his 11 years at Arsenal . . . .he is yet to win the UCL and a Carling Cup(domestic title).
At the turn of the century, Ferguson won the league in 2000,2001,2003 and 2007 . . . .Wenger won it in 2002 and 2004.
Blimey . . . . . what makes Arsene Wenger a good/great manager . . . .it seems i am missing something here.

I still believe Alex Ferguson is the best football manager in the entire world.
There is no manager in the world(living or dead) that can match the number of titles Fergie has under his belt.
He is the manager of managers . . . .

Dont get me wrong . . . . .
Ottmar Hitzfeld, Marcello Lippi and Fabio Capello are close but they are not by any means greater than SAF.

Wes Brown's form is suspect . . . . .he was an onlooker when Boro scored on saturday.
He doesnt work as a unit like the other members of the defence quartet. Wes is the weakest link.

@ A-40,

Can u hear yourself?
Why should a side playing a home game draft a highly defensive 4-5-1 formation?
Eduardo is not a viable excuse for playing 4-5-1 . . . . .Walcott, Hleb and Bendtner can partner Ade upfront to make a 4-4-2.
I have a feening Wenger will play a defensive formation and fight for a DRAW to protect their league position and the unbeaten run.
He knows once the United game is over . . . . .he wont be tested firmly again till he faces Chelsea in december!!!!!!!!!!!

The fear of the HOLY TRINITY is the beginning of wisdom.
You need to check your stats and analyse the matches the trio have started together . . . the output is amazing.
The lads are scoring freely and u must remember Almunia is not Petr Cech . . . .
Almunia is not GOLD . . . . .He is erm, erm, ALUMINIUM.
Whatchuthink?

@ Razorr,

Tevez has been outstanding!!!!!!
I don't really know any defence unit that can handle the HOLY TRINITY on their day.
They are so efficient they can switch positions easily and none of em has a static play-zone where they operate.
Tevez and Rooney are constantly roaming like predators . . .always prying  and nibbling at the opponent's weakest link.
I pity Gallas and Toure . . . . .they will be taken apart by the trickery and stealth of the United trio.

United can bang 4 goals on saturday . . . . .Its highly possible.

@ I-man,

Arsenal thrives on penalties . . . .They always know how to con the Ref to get it at the Emirates.
Its becoming a habit.
Eboue, Hleb, Rosicky, Adebayor are all twats when it comes to going down easily in the opponent's penalty box.

Anyways, what do u think the formation will be against the GAYnners.
Which players will make ur starting XI and what brand of football are u gonna deploy against Arsene Wenger.
I am so sure Wengay will deploy the 4-5-1 formation with Adebayor leading the attack and playing Hleb in the hole.

Can Billy The Kid and Toure silence Apache and Wazza?
Will Ronaldo outsmart the combo of Eboue and Sagna? I think we may have a problem on that side as both wankers are good defenders.
They are going to double up on Cristiano but i trust the Portugeezer to outfox the GAYnners.
