@ J-K,

Are u aware Nani is just 20?
Can u also remember Ronaldo was worse off until 2005/06.
Bundle of skills but no end product . . . . . .Until he learnt to use the ball well when he is in possession.
Ronaldinho was another example some couple of years back . . . .he would dribble and dribble and lose the ball.
The only player i know that has matured and far ahead of his time is LEO MESSI.

Back to Man United . . . . .
The CENTRAL MIDFIELD is the problem where u cannot identify who the holding midfielder is . . . . .
Carrick is supposed to be the holding midfielder and scholes to be the attacking one but the reverse is the case.
None of em do the box to box running they need to support the forward men.
Only OWEN can solve that problem as he would hold and allow either SCHOLESY or CARRICK go forward to make incisive passes.
Until then . . . . we wld continue to see the 1-0, 2-0 slim margins.

@ Loyika,

U give up?
That coming from u is a big COMPLIMENT to the WOLFMAN. grin grin grin grin
However, u have spoilt the fun . . . .i enjoy winding u up with this takeover brouhaha.
Do u actually believe i care if Usmanov takes over Arsenal? I DONT GIVE A FLYING Bleep!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Its just a wind-up . . . . I got the same stick when the GLAZERS came knocking so why cant i taunt ma PH negro aka LOYIKA.

Meanwhile . . . . .
Dont rule out blocking special resolutions. It hardly takes place DOES NOT MEAN it cannot.
Lets get things straight . . . . . .Usmanov will help Arsenal in a lotta ways. tongue tongue tongue tongue
Think about it . . . . more money to be spent and maybe Wenger might be chucked out.
Ever imagined Arsenal buying a player like Messi for 90 million? cool or Kaka for 65 million? tongue tongue NOTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!! grin grin grin

Back to footie . . . Good result from the gooners last night although not a VINTAGE ARSENAL.
It seems u lots have been bitten by the lone goal syndrome as well.
Who cares as long as its 3 points? Go head GAYNNERS.
Just remember one thang . . . .Man Utd is lurking around to capitalise on one slip of urs.
Whatever u gays do . . . . .just dont slip-up with United's breath on ur napes.

@ Loyika,

What do u know about corporate takeovers?
Please stop this joke u are trying to make.
Lemme break u something proper and what 25% stake can do. . . . .

Usmanov can influence company affairs . . . .
The Russian can change the name of the club to CSKA London or Locomotive London. tongue tongue tongue tongue
He can also summon an Emergency General Meeting and things and things.
Usmanov being a Man Utd fan can change the name of the club to Ferguson FC for a start . . . grin grin grin tongue tongue tongue tongue

In ma mind's eye . . . .The takeover should be expected anytime soon.
It cannot be a long ass wait and should happen before ur seeds cause chaos in any woman's womb. tongue tongue tongue
Its so soon i can smell it already. . . . . .give or take, i will say less than 180 days.
Usmanov has got big plans, big planx!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@ tkb417,

There's only one answer to it.
Chelsea will go down the way LEEDS went.
Who would pay the wages of Shevchenko, Ballack and even Mikel Obi?
A club that has been making huge losses since the takeover in 2003 . . . . .
Huge debts left, right and centre . . . . .
Roman is precious to them and if they piss him off. . . . . .he wld convert Stamford Bridge to an amusement park/fairground.
Drogba and Kalou would make good clowns. tongue tongue tongue tongue tongue

@ Loyika,

This is just a FACADE.
I expected someone like u to disregard such statement especially from a crooked Russian.
Blimey!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What do u expect him to say?
Lemme break it down for u because it seems u don't know ZILCH.

ARSENAL SHAREHOLDINGS.

DIRECTORS (Total 45.45%)

Daniel Fiszman 24.11%

Lady Bracewell-Smith 15.9%

Richard Carr 4.4%

Peter Hill-Wood (Chair) 0.8%

Lord Harris of Peckham 0.09%

Ken Friar 0.07%

Sir Chips Keswick 0.06%

Keith Edelman (MD) 0.04%

MAIN INDIVIDUALS (33.19%)

Red & White Holdings(USMANOV) 21% . . . . . . . . . .IT rose to 23% LAST FRIDAY.

Stan Kroenke 12.19%

If Usmanov buys 25% holding of the company, he would get a blocking vote and that will allow him a veto over key decisions.
He only needs to woo Richard Carr(4.4%) and buy his shares at a double price and that ends the story.
If Usmanov reaches the 30% threshold, he would be required to launch an OFFICIAL TAKEOVER.
grin grin grin THE ICING ON THE CAKE IS . . . . . .USMANOV IS A RED DEVIL . . . HE IS A MAN UTD FAN! tongue tongue tongue tongue tongue

Are u telling me Usmanov wont provide the funds if a share-holder decides to sell today?
Loyika, can u trust any RUSSIAN? Dont be so naive . . . . . Its all a COVER-UP.
The take over is imminent . . . . .Its only a matter of time and can happen THIS YEAR.
Somebody somewhere is going to sell out . . . . .I will remind u when that happens.

@ tkb417,

All i need from the lads is 2 more victories in the next 2 games to sail us through the next round of UEFA.
If we can do that . . . . .then our youngsters and all rusty players should be given the chance to play in the last 2 games of UEFA.
I think the problem lies with the midfield . . . . . They kind of slow the pace of the game down and were too cautious.
The only time we played one touch footie was when Wazza scored!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Scholes and Carrick should offer more passes in the midfield.
Carrick played his heart out against Chelsea . . . .I don't know why he's freezing up these days and SCHOLES isnt that IMPERIOUS again.
The only functioning department is the defence . . . .RIO + VIDIC.
Something has to be done and fasssst to sort out this slow pace.
Its about time United start scoring avalanche of goals.

C'MON UNITED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Jackal(m): 1:02am On Oct 03, 2007
@ I-man,

Just heard about Hargo now on SKYSPORTS.
What the heck is wrong with that dude?
Are we going to get the best out of this geezer with this injury curse?

I think Nani had his best game in a red shirt tonight.
Giggs should be starting from the bench to give these youngsters a chance to express themselves.
No one would have known his worth if he had started from the bench today and kudos to FERGIE for giving him a chance.
He was unlucky not to have scored when his effort hit the cross-bar.

Rio Ferdinand was simply outstanding!!!!!!!!!!!!!
On a night Vidic was quiet, Rio took matters into his own hands and coped well with Roma attack.
Interceptions, reading the game well and keeping a good defence line . . . . this is why i think he is the best centre-half in England.
On his day he is unbeatable but his short attention span sometimes lets him down . . . . . .
The goals would come soon . . . . . .I am confident.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Jackal(m): 10:25pm On Oct 02, 2007
@ Debosky,

Nani and Ronaldo had a brilliant game.
Although, Nani was show-boating a lot but he showed flashes of his sterling quality in the match.
The problem has to be in the midfield . . . . Carrick and Scholes were too slow in making telling passes.
Carrick is too cautious and always passing the ball backwards and sideways like a self-servicer.

Tevez keeps getting better and better. . . . . He had to be the best buy of the season.
He's got balance, stealth, raw skills and he was very unlucky with his strike.
Rooney was awesome . . . . Ronaldo was dangerous all night and RIO was immense in the defence.
I really cant wait to have Gazza and Owen back . . . . .Scholes needs rest . . . . . AGE is catching up with the old guards.

2 more VICTORIES and we dont have to think about UEFA till February.
It will give us the time and space to CONCENTRATE more on the PREM and chase the GAYNNERS out of the pole position.
This time last season . . . . United was leading both the PREM and UEFA league table.
Its about time United gets into the groove and show what they have got.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Jackal(m): 9:57pm On Oct 02, 2007
@ 9ja4eva,

I think if we dont concede . . . . . We wont score more than a goal in any match.
What the Bleep is tonight's performance all about?
An early goal would have opened ROMA up and we should have eased into the game.

Roma played with lotta spirit and TOTTI was just awesome.
Tricky touches . . .Sublime passes . . . Good balance and stealth and he was just outstanding on the night.
Man Utd also played some lovely footie but something hsould be done with the pace of our game.
Carrick and Scholes were too slow in their decision-making and the passes were too late in getting to the front men.

Phew!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
6 POINTS FROM 2 GAMES is not a bad return.

Thank U SAF . . . . . .
Thanx for listening to ma cries over RYAN GIGGS.
He should be condemned to the bench to READ THE GAME like SOLSKJAER does and can come in to add VALUE to a match.
TEVEZ and GIGGS drop to the bench.

FIFA did not make that list.
45,000 Professional Football Players all over the world all participated in this poll.
Fabregas didn't get as much vote as everyone else on that list . . .How is that hard to work out?

Its like u complaining that 8 Man United players made the PFA team.
Ferguson didnt choose the list . . . all the Premiership players voted and 8 Man Utd players got into the list.
It has nuthing to do with Football Association or someone's fanatsy team . . .  .Its the opinion of everyone polled together.

Dont even dare compare Andres Iniesta to Cesc Fabregas.
Iniesta has done so much for Barca/Spain than what Fabregas has done.
Besides, Fabregas cannot even get into the starting XI of his country. He is yet to score for SPAIN.
Iniesta holds a regular shirt in Spain and has scored 4 times!!!!!!!!!!!

Stop acting like a cock-head.
Who gives a rat if Cesc Fabregas played in all 38 Premier league games for Arsenal? Scoring just 2 goals in 38 games is APPALING.
Vidic as a Man Utd defender had a better goal ratio than Cesc as a playmaker so that automatically makes him dud.
If Fab4 was that good . . . . . .Why cant he pinch a regular shirt in Spain?
Xavi, Iniesta, Xabi Alonso, Luis Garcia and Albelda will all get mentioned before Fabregas can have a SAY in Spain.
Iniesta returned an impressive 6 goals in 28 starts in La Liga for Barca last season.
He is under-rated but shrewd watchers of the game would tell u he is an integral part of the Barcelona team.
Dont even mention him in the same breath as Cesc . . . . Cesc ma ass!

Unfortunately, this discussion is not between u and me.
Its between me and all those BLUE-BALLED GAYNNERS who have been nursing ERECTIONS since the start of the PREM.
Maybe u as a fan is taking it ONE AT A TIME but some plonkers in ur camp are already saying the TITLE is heading to the Emirates.

Do u really think SAF will fold his hands and let Wenger bend his arm and snatch the title?
For Bleep's sake . . . . U've got another think coming cos that wont happen.
I expect Chelsea to mount a serious challenge as well and Liverpool is not too far.

For the umpteenth time, i dont have any obsession for the GAYNNERS.
The last time i checked. u guys are just 2 points ahead . . . U keep cheating, Ljunberg scored a valid goal but the ref helped y'all out.
That LUCK would soon run out and i cant wait for Man Utd to pounce on that opportunity.

Things would FALL APART when Arsenal loses their first game.
When was the last time Arsenal bounced back to winning ways after a league loss?
U have to go back to 1922 . . . . .not UNDER ARSENE WENGER.

One law GOVERNS Arsenal.
They have a very HIGH RELUCTANCE TO LOSE WHEN WINNING . . and a very HIGH RELUCTANCE TO WIN WHEN LOSING.
The only way ARSENAL can win this league is to do another UNBEATEN RUN which is highly IMPOSSIBLE.
Anything apart from that . . . . . .THEY SHOULD FORGET IT.

Giggsy has paid his dues in the Premiership . . . . .9 league titles is no small achievement.
Add Wenger's Premiership titles to Mourinho's and its just over half of what Giggsy has won.

The faithful United fans say . . . . .IN GIGGS WE TRUST.
Have u forgotten how GIGGS sliced through 5 ARSENAL defenders in 1999?
15 million people voted it was the BEST GOAL in the history of ENGLISH FOOTBALL.

For the 1st time this millennium, i couldnt have agreed more wiv your comments.
ARSENAL needs prayers . . . . . .

Why are u directing this question to me?
I didnt write the list . . . .
It seems u dont get this . . .Do you?
44,000 PROFESSIONAL FOOTBALL PLAYERS all over the globe participated and the following 55 players notched the highest votes.
It simply means Fabregas, Kolo Toure and Clichy all participated in this poll and voted these players.

Anyways, Iniesta helped his team win the Supercopa de Espana in 2006-07 season.
His contributions to Spain and Barcelona cannot be quantified and he scored important goals as well.
A lot of professional players and fans including ME believe he is a better player than Cesc Fabregas.

Blimey!!!!!!!!! Cashley Cole HELPED his team win FA cup and Carling Cup.
His contributions also helped Chelsea into the last 4 of UEFA champions league plus a decent world cup appearance.

Thierry Henry's contributions last year cannot be questioned.
Gave the ARSES a bit of hope by scoring a SCREAMER against Man United coupled with a fantastic world cup appearance.
He has also helped France in the EURO 2008 qualifiers.

The 55-man list was selected by a poll of 45,000 professional footballers playing in 42 different leagues all over the world.
