Now imagine you, Max, have a cut on your neck from a road traffic accident. Your jugular vein is lacerated, and you are bleeding out in 5 minutes or so. You're rushed to the hopsital. You're offered blood, and you declined. You opt for leaves and you start chewing or you tell your wife to boil it for you , which you won't be alive to drink the juice in 5 minutes when its ready. You'll be dead in 5 or 6 minutes, depending on your blood volume and the rate of bleed.

If you screen and cross-match the blood properly, that is a life saver. No doctor would tell you blood transfusion is bad. None. So I don't even know where you get your info from. The alternative to blood transfusions aren't always available, they are very costly and isn't even used in all cases. For example, in a patient bleeding acutely from a lacerated femoral or carotid artery, a baby with severe neonatal jaundice with impending kernicterus, a woman with post partum hemorrhage tipping into hypovolemic shock, what you need is plain and simple BLOOD. You don't need erythropoietin, hemacel etc. Again you need blood. If your Yahweh is very powerful, he would have made a better substitute for blood, instead of sitting on his fat ass and waiting for science to come up with a solution.
