shamecurls:Ol' Boy, Which kind language be this sef, wey you dey write and post us for the forum so? Why you no dey post language wey other people go fit understand the tin wey you dey talk? Is this a new Nigerian language or what? Na wa for you o. |
Good for the young Oluwo. Certain Nigerians never get tired of the useless, idle comments. All you need to do is to wish the young man well. He is trying to carve his own niche, plot his path and set his own pace. Nothing wrong with that. Times have changed folks. This young king is only demonstrating the "new" trend in Royalty and "Kingship" in Nigeria. As long as he cares about his people and is not disrespecting his town or his own people, that is all that matters. Leave him alone people! Monarchy is more ceremonial in this day and age. But there is no doubt that a young, smart, educated Oba or Obi can make a big difference and create a huge influence and a sphere of attraction of progress and development to his town. The new trend is that all towns across Nigeria (big and small) are starting to have younger and younger Obas, Obis, Emirs, Ezes, Obongs, etc. Not only are they younger and younger, they are more educated and better educated, many with college degrees. They have more advanced views and are progressive-thinking. They have a common taste with you in the type of music, movies, fashion and culture that they like. These are modern kings. And this is better for the country as a whole. The days of the uneducated, unsophisticated and untraveled Kings are gone. Welcome to the modern century people. It is happening all over Nigeria. We should all embrace it - NOT criticize it. Congratulations to the young King. Enjoy your miliki and your fine iyawo and all the concubines. Which one concern any of us? Abeg make una go sidon. Leave this Oba alone if im no kill anybody. ![]() |
Tell me, is this the same man who murdered his own best friend - Mamman Vatsa? And what about the blood of Dele Giwa and MKO and Kudirat Abiola? Well, whatever goes around always comes around. Everybody knows that Mamman Vatsa never planned any coup. Vatsa's only "crime" was that he did not tell Babangida anything that he heard! Now, tell me, is it really a crime not to snitch on other people? Should you get executed just because you did not snitch on some people? Well, Baba-Thief will be OK. He has enough money to cure whatever is wrong with him. So why are all you people worried about him? Worry about own yourself. Baba-Ole will be just fine. His money can cure all his problems. He will be alright. |
NIGERIAN WOMEN PLAYERS ARE BETTER THAN THE MEN ANYWAY The Nigerian women players should get the same thing as the Nigerian men for the same work. It is not fair. It is plain sexist. The women even perform better than the men anyway, so let's pay the women. Don't cheat them just because they are women. Enough of that sexist bullshit attitude and archaic policy. This is the 2000's. Stop the crap. I will even make a bold prediction today here that one day soon, these Nigerian women will win a world cup trophy ever before the Naija men do. Nigerian women play better, they are sexier and even better looking. Abeg, make una pay them jare. Stop the nonsense. If you love your wife, your mother and your daughters and love your sisters, then pay the women players their damn money - equally. Plus women need more supplies than men. So pay them their money. |
No name-checking done here. Thanks everybody. Let us copy the example here on this thread. |
Very Funny Photo This one dey too easy for me. If to say na WAEC be dis, I go just pass am with plenty distinction for all subjects. ![]() I have not one, not even two but wait o, me sef I get a total of SEVEN Captions for this story! 1) Partners-in-Crime 2) The 3 Musketeers 3) CHOP and Let's CHOP 4) Bros, abeg comot for road now make I chop my own sef 5) I dey wait in line jeje for my own turn 6) Bros, make I do like you do now 7) My Broda, abeg leave something for me too o! ![]() |
What a bastard piece of shit. May you burn in hell Shekau - both literally and figuratively. And all the Nigerian gods - all of them (Hausa gods, Yoruba gods and Ibo gods, Ijaw, Tiv, Edo, Itsekiri, Nupe, Igala, Kanuri, Fulani, Urhobo gods - na all of them go punish you). You evil and rotten sociopath. How do you even dare use the name of God in vain? God does not support none of the evils that you and your demented followers have perpetrated over the years. You cowards. Now you are running and hiding. Why don't you come out and let the Nigerian villagers hang you by the balls, to a baobab tree, and flog the crap out of you mercilessly until you painfully cry your sorry self to death, you ugly urchin. For all those almost 300 schoolgirls that you and your followers kidnapped, and took into Sambisa forest and raped and impregnated, may God punish you. If only the Goodluck Jonathan administration had pursued these bastards immediately and not waited for almost three weeks (after all the rest of the world had begun wailing and crying) before even admitting that there was even any kidnapping, they would have nailed these psychopathic imbeciles right away, and things might have been a little different today. Instead the man from Otuoke miscalculated and misjudged totally by allowing these evil mongrels plenty of time to get away and scatter all the girls into smaller groups and then hide them all over the place. Oh Nigeria. What a country! A country where there is no respect for laws. A country where you have a band of illiterate touts, marauders and a mish-mash collection of thugs holding an entire country of 180 million people hostage while those supposed to be in charge were busy partying, looting, pillaging and blowing all the public money! What a crying stupid shame. In a real place, an idiot like Shekau will not last even two months. I feel sorry for those innocent school girls. It pisses me off. What if one of them was your daughter, friend, niece, sister or cousin? Imagine. I hate BH imbeciles. |
People, whether you agree with the writer or not, I urge everybody to learn how to read and comprehend the gist of an article rather than simply dismissing it or attacking the writer. You are free to disagree with any writer, but if you do so, it will help your readers if you present a cogent and intellectual counter-argument instead of a lame attack that has no basis at all. Any writer will know that it does take a lot of work, thought and effort to compose, write and present a concise and intelligent article, with well-rounded points, articulate analyses and good arguments. Learn to read, analyse and comprehend a writer first. FYI, to sum it up in Simple Arithmetic terms, I think this is all that the writer was trying to say below: Mathematics 101 - Basic Arithmetic or Simple Arithmetic PDP - Rules Nigeria for (16) years? And the results are = ZERO, 1, 2, 3, -1, -2, -3 or ? YOU TAKE YOUR PICK. So you do the math yourself. APC - Rules Nigeria for ( ? ) months. And the results are = YTBD (Yet To be determined) Some people are demanding that APC give them WAEC results before the exam don even take place sef. This sums up what the writer is trying to say. SIMPLE. This is all that that the writer was trying to tell you. Now, if you disagree with am, make you present to us, your own argument and intellectual analyses and your own facts or your counter-points and counter-arguments. No need for all the cussing and dissing, cheap shots and insults and all the unnecessary verbal yanma-yanma. That is how you make an intellectual counter-argument, if you have one. Thanks. |
How can some people be so dumb and so naive? All in the name of some lame dumb-ass tradition. Only in Ijesha-land ........ I guess. |
shugaboy6102:My brother, I read your post. Please know that Obama has been called many insulting, disrespectful and even derogatory names in the US, names that are even ten times worse by his millions of opponents, especially those who are in the rival Republican Party and by some of the racist, bigoted section of the dominant White-owned media and those White people who do not like the idea that a "Black" person is even President of the United States. He has been called a "liar" loudly and in public by certain US Senators and Congressmen (who don't like him and who do not support him). He has been publicly accused of being a Muslim (just because his father is Kenyan) even though everyone clearly knows that he has been a practicing Christian all his life, and had attended the same Church in the city of Chicago for many decades. He has been accused of not being "born" in America even though they know clearly that he was born in Hawaii (which is one of the 50 States of the USA). They have falsely questioned his loyalty to America. They have even called his wife Michelle a monkey even though she is very beautiful and an elegant, educated and very intelligent Black woman - even much smarter and better educated than most of these ignoramuses that choose to call her ugly names. The difference in the US is that people believe that you have freedom to say whatever you like about anybody - even if it is stupid or ignorant. No politician or leader is "worshiped" or treated as a "god" no matter how big or popular or famous that person may be. If you don't like it, you can sue that person in court. But you can't flog them or kidnap or beat them up. Don't let us even bother to compare Jonathan and Obama. It is not even close! GEJ was a sidonlook type of President. Obama is not! There is corruption in every country in the world (including the US). The difference between Nigeria and the US is that if you are caught in Nigeria, you may get away scot-free (depending on who you are, who you know and people who are your friends but in the US, they will prosecute your ass to the highest limit and lock you ass up, if you are found guilty. And as long as the evidence is there, believe me, they will find it and use it against you! There are no sacred cows. No one is above the law. It doesn't matter whether you are a prince, a billionaire, a millionaire, a governor, a beauty pageant, a king or even a president. No one cares. No one is above the law. That is what Nigeria needs to do. Stop worshiping people. Treat every man and woman the same. Judge people only by their own merit and their merit alone, and Nigeria will become a much better country for everyone. PERIOD! |
Ooni. Congratulations! Where is the Abobaku? If man go die, is there any better way to die? Abi, no be so? |
SERIOUSLY? Eh hen!Chai! Them say Love is blind o. I smell Green Card here o! ![]() |
This looks like two different people to me. This one na double-standard o. Abi fear of Alahusa dey catch the oba? Na dis be the same Oba that was threatening to kick Ibo people out of Lagos a short time ago? (Something that is NOT legally possible sha). When Alahusa people dey make noise now, this same Oba suddenly turned into a scared "ologbo" or pussy-cat. Which kind Oba be dis one sha? Did Arewa people pay him some bribe money in secret or did Hausa leaders send their people to threaten the king behind closed doors? This Oba should step down. We need a real brave, consistent Oba to take over the throne. We need an Oba who is not afraid of Gambari. An Oba that says the same thing all the time. That is not afraid of anybody. Let's call a spade a spade. I call it like I see it. Let's be honest at all times people no matter whose ox is gored or whose maalu is attacked. |
What is the price? How much be the moto? |
SOME OF YOU CAN CHOOSE TO BURY YOUR HEAD IN THE SAND JUST LIKE AN OSTRICH, IF YOU WANT. THAT'S YOUR CHOICE. AND YOU CAN ALSO CHOOSE TO LIVE IN DENIAL JUST BECAUSE YOU HAVE PICKED YOUR SO-CALLED HERO. THAT'S YOUR PROBLEM. BUT YOU CAN'T RE-WRITE HISTORY. FACT IS FACT. AND LIE IS LIE. THE FACT IS THAT YOU CANNOT MANUFACTURE YOUR OWN FACTS. Here are some links: http://www.thewhistler.ng/story/u-s-declassified-memo-accuses-murtala-muhammad-of-genocide Also the story of the massacre in Asaba: http://ynaija.com/gripping-video-the-story-of-the-asaba-massacre-during-the-biafran-war-watch/ Here is more below ............ Source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Murtala_Mohammed Nigerian civil war and role in the Asaba Massacre During the Nigerian Civil War, Muhammad was General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the Nigerian Army's 2nd Division. This division was responsible for the legendary beating back of the Biafran Army from the midwestern region, as well as crossing the River Niger and linking up with the 1st Division, which was marching down from Nsukka and Enugu. Lieutenant Ishola Williams, an officer who served under then Colonel Muhammed alleged that Muhammed ordered the summary execution of Biafran prisoners of war. Professors Bird and Ottanelli in a study titled "The History and Legacy of the Asaba, Nigeria, Massacres" document the mass murder of civilians (often referred to as the Asaba Massacre) by troops of the 2nd Division under Colonel Murtala Muhammad. Muhammad's encounter with disaster during the war happened shortly after, as he attempted to cross the River Niger to Biafra. Despite the recommendation of his superiors at Army Headquarters in Lagos that he wait for the bridge, which had been blown up by the retreating Biafran forces, to be rebuilt, he insisted on a riverine crossing. Twice he was beaten back, but he steadfastly kept resolve and finally made it through on his third attempt. Shortly after this, Muhammad fed up with reprimands from Army HQ, decided to quit his command and left for an extended holiday in the United Kingdom, but not before threatening to resign his commission. His historic military feats during the war won him National acclaim and respect even from his adversaries. |
Guys, you should always check history records first before you make absolute statements such as the greatest leader that Nigeria ever had. It shows that you do not know Nigerian history or you did not do you home work at all. The troops under Murtala's command were responsible for hunting down hundreds of all the innocent civilian males they could find, anywhere in Asaba, they lined them all up in the middle of town, and shot them all in the head in extra-judicial manner and executed every single one of them point blank even though these men were not soldiers and did not pose any threat or danger at all to the Nigerian Army or do anything to hurt Nigeria. And his men also looted the Central Bank in Asaba and stole everything that was not nailed to the ground. They also raped several Asaba young girls and women. And used them for their personal and perverse sexual pleasures. Imagine if one of them was your mother or sister or your daughter that was being raped by the Nigerian Army? How would you feel? So you think that all these things were good enough to make Murtala a great leader and a war hero in your book? You are looking only at one side of the coin. Remember that a coin has two sides. In a civilized country, your hero Murtala (along with many other high-ranking Nigerian officers), would have been tried for their war crimes, as war criminals just like Charles Taylor of Liberia was tried and convicted at the World International Criminal Court in the Hague, Netherlands. Maybe Murtala did change after the war but he was no hero. And he was not punished for war crimes. He never apologized publicly either for the crimes committed under him. In the Army, you are responsible for your men's actions. You get credit for any good that they do and you are implicated for all the bad things that they do under your watch. Murtala did not punish or sanction any of his men. So that means that he tacitly approved it. That's the way it works in the military. Always check your history before you write. Or ask somebody that knows. |
Anambra24:The starter of this thread has made the same exact mistake that the author of the article made. How can you call this picture stock-fish? What kind Nigerian or African person doesn't know the difference between stock fish and smoked fish? Na wa for you. Even Oyibo ma sabi the difference sef. That is like somebody saying that Akara is the same thing as moi-moi because both are made from beans. What is the big deal about the man buying fish? All these comments about the man cannot buy fish. That it must be only the woman or the wife's job to buy the fish. That is just some pure sexist bull-crap. This is 2016 my people. We are not living in the stone ages or medieval times when the man did all the hunting and the woman cooked and took care of the house. A man can also buy the food and cook also. There is nothing wrong with that. It is not just the woman's job only to buy food or cook for the house all the time. With the exception of the African continent, in the rest of the world, the overwhelming majority of cooks and chefs are men. African man with his sexist attitude sef. Did you know that on Valentine Day, one of the most romantic things that a man can do for his woman is not only to buy the food for her but to even surprise her by cooking for her? That is a very big romantic surprise for the woman. Buying flowers is no surprise. Buying candies is nothing new. Cooking for your woman, especially if the woman has been working very hard and doing all the house work too, is one of the most romantic things that you can ever do to surprise her. But the typical African man just wants the woman to cook all the food, clean the house for him and clean the dishes all the time and at the end of the day, just lay down there and service him with sex too. And when him don finish sex, him go just roll over and fall straight asleep. And he thinks that this is Valentine. Abi, No be so? WRONG way to go man! You gotta change your game up people. Believe that. |
Can you believe this? A ghastly accident happened. Two Reverend Sisters died tragically. And I can't believe that the only thing that some morons have to talk about here is whether these Sisters are "virgins" or not. What kind of rubbish to the memory of dead people? I pray for your insensitive and non-compassionate souls. May God forgive you. Don't you people have any thought or feelings? I guess not. What if this was your own family? Will you be saying the same thing? Do you even think before you make such a very stupid post and insensitive remark? May these Sister's souls rest in peace. Amen. |
What is all the noise about? What have you done about all those Generals and other higher-ranking military officers who stole millions of Naira of the money that they were supposed to use to buy weapons for the Nigerian Army? What did you do to those big officers? Nothing. But you are sitting here and making all these big noise over these 2 small hungry low-ranking officers. This is nothing but small potatoes and little groundnut compared to what those Oga generals stole from Nigeria. And why do some of you here never have nothing of substance to say or write except only just your usual name-calling and making tribal comments? This thing has nothing to do with tribe. These are two hungry bastard, low-ranking officers, who were tempted to make some little quick money. Of course, I believe that they should be disciplined. But first, make una go punish the big Oga officers who stole millions of Naira. Those Oga officers who stole millions should suffer way more punishment than these two little peons. And dem never even punish those big Ogas wey steal millions of Naira yet. This is nothing but Naija jungle justice. Catch the little monkey who stole 2 bananas from the tree and punish him severely but leave the big baboon who stole the entire plantation. Nonsense. Abeg, make we hear word sef. |
Why don't she cover her face up with hijab? Who allowed this? It is against Muslim laws for a woman to show her face and her skin in public like that. This will never happen in Iran, Somalia or Saudi. It's time to call the O.I.C. |
What crime did he commit? Lying or cheating, misuse of a man's tool, seduction, false-preaching, sleeping with too many women? When did it become a crime to either sleep with or get an adult woman pregnant? Does Nigerian law say you cannot get women pregnant? But I suggest that all those women go do a medical check up. This man sleeps with several women and apparently, he uses no protection. A DNA test can easily prove whether he is the father of the many children or not. So why don't the Police authorities do the simple test? |
So which of the two words is incorrect or that is so upsetting to you people? Is it the use of "ineffectual" or is it the "buffoon" part? Tell me which one is not correct about oga Goodluck Jonathan? ![]() Chei, Nigerians are funny. No wonder nothing ever changes in Naija. |
free2ryhme:And what do you mean by the comment "your name is typical of your post"? So this is your most intelligent reply to my post? |
Chei, how some fine Wafi-girl come carry that im big yansh go give to Oyibo boy? Na wa o. I don't blame the Oyibo boy sha. Him just dey enjoy that chocolate ponmo jeje. Which one concern am. E don say im like fufu and soup. Good luck to them. Beautiful kids. ![]() |
free2ryhme:So what's your point by your comment "not" Ibo? His parents are from the Igbo-speaking area of Delta State. What is the big deal? It does not matter whether he is Igbo or not. He was born and raised in London. Don't you know that Delta State has many ethnic and language groups? And that Igbo is one of the prominent languages spoken in Delta State? There is Itsekiri. There is Ijaw. There is Urhobo. There is Isoko. There is Igbo, etc. So are many other languages and dialects spoken in Delta. There are even some mix or a trace of Yoruba dialect spoken in some areas there. Try to learn a little history and geography about a state before you make such a comment like that. That is like saying that a guy from Kwara or Kogi State who has a Yoruba name is "not" Yoruba because he is not from Oyo, Ogun or Osun, Ondo or Ekiti State. How does that kind of comment sound to you? Does it make sense? |
My people, I smell a fish here. When it looks like a fish and smells like a fish ....... oh yes, it is a rotten fish. It sounds like this unfortunate police corporal has something going on that was way, way above his small head. And nobody knows what exactly. New Camry, New Baby, A Mistress and a Girlfriend, and Baby Mama saga, and all that. He is meeting with and talking to known criminals and trying to save fraudsters. There is just too much stuff going on here people. It is very clear to me that what happened was not an accident. This man either crossed somebody or pissed someone off and so they decided to take him out. Too bad. It is justice in the jungle. |
Naija men. Una sabi lie, no be small thing. Una dey for here dey call that girl all kind names. But whether e be Ashawo or e no be Ashawo, all of una wey dey comment here go still knack am if dat girl give una some play. Una go be the first one to stand in line to smash am. Make una stop lying. Yansh, na yansh. E good for one thing. |
People, When you are calling for soldiers or police to execute either alleged law-breakers or criminals, you have to be careful what you wish for. In any "civilized" country or society, no matter what the crime the person is alleged to have committed, as long as he is willing to surrender to the authorities, by law, the law enforcement authorities are expected to arrest this person, lock him or her up in detention, then take them to court to be arraigned and decided in front of a judge or jury, who will try and sentence them accordingly or as the law dictates. You cannot say that you are in favour of the law on one hand but then on the other hand, you are encouraging armed officers to practice what simply amounts to the act of "extra-judicial" killing by becoming the judge, the jury, and the executioner. You cannot sanction law enforcement to eliminate ALL alleged criminals on sight! Police and Army are NOT always right. According to the law, it does not matter how terrible a crime one is alleged to have committed, every citizen (no matter how bad) still deserves their own day in court. That is the nature of the law! And whether we like it or not, we have to abide by it, not only when we choose to do so but as a matter of fact, at all times! You all know that it happens every time when some unlucky innocent Nigerian or Nigerians are wrongly accused of crimes that they did not commit and are either killed, burned or lynched to death on the spot, by some angry neighbourhood mobs before police show up. And later, some of these people are found to be some totally innocent students who happen to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. But then, it is too late, and the mob of killers are never charged with murder or any crime because no one will fess up. And even when they speak up, nothing is done. If you want your country to be regarded as a civilized country, then you cannot encourage people to practice jungle type of justice. Don't get me wrong. I know that BH terrorists are "war criminals" and cold-blooded imbeciles and I want to see their end too. Just like you, I don't like them. But the law is the law, and we cannot choose to enforce the law in a selective manner or permit vigilantism, regardless of the level or egregiousness of the alleged crime. Therefore, we have to whenever and wherever it is possible, arrest them first, detain them and then we charge and prosecute them to the full extent of the law. Otherwise, Nigeria will become just like another totally "lawless" country like Somalia, Iraq, Syria or Libya i.e. a . Some people think that Nigeria is a lawless country already. It is wrong to just kill them on the spot. You cannot eat your cake and get to keep it at the same time too. So ask yourselves what do you really want? Do you want your Area Boys and the local watchmen always taking the law into their hands and simply burning and executing alleged thieves and criminals on the spot before the police are called or before the alleged criminals are arrested, detained and tried in a court of law and found guilty. Some of you might say that it's not a big deal, but let me tell you, if even one innocent person (only) is mistakenly executed by either the police, the army or area vigilantes, then even that one innocent person will have been one too many people. We all have a responsibility to obey the law - criminals and non-criminals alike. You cannot enforce the law by breaking yet another law, in the process! |
Let us give credit where credit is due. Let's call a spade a spade. Let me say thanks to all the Ibo boys for exercising some patience and restraint here. Let's speak the truth. If this guy was an Ibo man, walahi talahi, all the usual suspects would have launched many pages of tribal attacks at Ibo people. But the Ibo guys have shown a lot of maturity and plenty of restraint here in the forum. I respect them for that. Next time, let everyone do the same thing. Crime knows no tribe. Criminals can belong to any tribe. |
Hey Ro-shitty, Tell me my friend, which kind igbo you dey smoke sef? Na good igbo. It must be some very very good hemp because I can see from what you are writing that either you are in total 100% denial or you are simply hallucinating from smoking too much. Abi na Oga-Jona na im dey pay you some money and send you go for internet to write all this stuff wey you dey yarn us so? Abeg comot from my face make I see road sef. If you no fit talk the truth then go siddon somewhere. |
This is not news. It is pure garbage. Shameless idiot! Just because you be doctor no mean say you no be thief. This is what is wrong with the country Nigeria - always praise-singing and glorifying corrupt politicians instead of bringing them to justice and locking them up where they really belong. Uduaghan is nothing but another James Ibori - A capital THIEF! Just because he has Doctor in his name doesn't mean anything. Dr. Ole. Dr. Onye-oshi. He is a chip off the same block. Both him and Ibori are blood cousins. Birds of the same feather! Nigerians should stop waiting for other people to come to their rescue. Even God sef has stopped listening to Nigerians' prayers because Nigerians are not serious about change. God only helps those who help themselves. Nigerians need to start a revolt like the Arab revolt to get rid of all these so-called corrupt and useless government leaders and senators who have destroyed the country for years, try them and lock them up and then put the right people who really care about serving this country and moving it forward in position. Until Nigerians are ready to put matters into their own hands, nothing will change and Nigeria will continue to be a truly blessed country but one that has zero to show for it and Nigerians will continue to suffer. Ask Nigerians in a room how many of them want to go to heaven and everybody will raise their hand. Now ask them who wants to die first and nobody will raise his hand. Well my friend, you must die first before you can go to heaven. You can't go to heaven alive. Ole, Barao, Onye-oshi, thief-thief, idiot. As long as you have a bunch of rogue corrupt idiots running that country, things will never change. That is my 2-kobo opinion. |
