Car Talk › Re: Nigerians are Riding Cars Stolen From Canada by Jagermeister(m): 1:05pm On Sep 13, 2023 |
nurey: The thieves take advantage of the low security of the headlamp to perpetrate the act which the car manufacturers are aware of but have refused to strengthen the security in that aspect. Eventually every stolen car will need to be replaced meaning the manufacturer sells 2 units to one person, one of the units is subsidized by hardworking Oyinbo for African owner True.. only that it's not 'subsidized' here.. the selling price here is far above the price it's sold BRAND NEW overseas |

shantti: I remember when they removed a mechanical engineering student from his hall and put only him in our hall(chemical engineering). The guy became the only mechanical engineering students seating in the midst of chemical engineers and our hall was very very strict unlike theirs and the guy didn't study cos he hoped on doing malpractice. For over an hour this guy was looking confused and kept on staring at his paper. When it was 30 mins to go he had no other option but to start copying from my answer booklets even though we were writing different exams 😂😂😂😂
He even borrowed pencil and ruler and neatly drew all the diagrams he saw in my booklets. 😂😂😂😂
When he was through he examined it and showed it to me and asked shey it's okay , I nodded and he jejely submitted his book 😂😂😂😂😂 Walai you don kill me this night with laugh 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 |

Romance › Re: Why Can't Black People Admit That Whites Are More Physically Attractive? by Jagermeister(m): 1:31pm On Jul 14, 2023 |
DaisyMellow: By white, I am referring to Caucasians; people of European ancestry.
Saying there is no statistical difference between people of European ancestry and people of subsaharan ancestry in terms of physical appearance is disingenuous. You are lying to yourself and you know it.
Please go out on the streets of lagos or any other metropolitan city in Nigera. Go to the markets and roadside. Watch school kids as they return from school. There are lots of physically unappealing people on this side of the world and they vastly outnumber the physically attractive ones, and admitting this does not make me a self hater. It's the truth.
Whenever I go out more than 80% of the people I encounter don't match up to what I would consider physically attractive. This is in stark contrast to what I witnessed when I travelled to Paris a year ago.
I am speaking from experience, not from sentiments. Have you been to Senegal? Togo? Even Benin Republic close by? There are lots of very ugly people in these countries and the number is way higher than the percentage of ugly people you will find in Caucasian demographics.
Heck watch the IAAF and compare the Caucasian athletes to the ones from Kenya and other subsaharan african countries. You will be lying if you think there is no obvious gulf in physical attractiveness Don’t bother with clarification. It’s the truth and sentimental people would never agree. I’ve always held this view. |

Rikze: Kai 🤣🤣🤣
I've never seen anyone say something good about Opel cars. They tend to be problematic or I don't know if it's our mechs fault that they can't just fix them. The vectra' are okay. They were everywhere in the north back then and they were used for taxis and interstate commercial transport so I guess they were reliable. Even the minivan zafira might be okay and I know someone who swears by the Astra 1.8 that he's used for 3 years+. True. Maybe it was just the Omega that was terrible. Even Toyota and Honda has a model or two you won't want to touch with a 10-foot pole. |

sonnie10: In 1977 Citroen from France was quite unique, but an Opel Record from Germany was every young man’s dream car. I wanted the first because of the prestige and uncommon features. Some had advised that I should get a Toyota Crown then but I was not trilled by Japanese cars then. A Lada Nova SUV from Russia was more reliable even when compared to a 404 Peugeot from France. Igala from Volkswagen was beginning to gain popularity and so was Moris Minor. Those were for civil servants which I was not. Then. life was easy and a decent car was all you needed. Lada Niva. Fairly reliable. We had one for a family car. Red colour 😎 |

I didn't choose my first car, it chose me!
As a first, most people bought the available at the time and not the desirable which directly implies that they bought the cheapest car available.
Toks Opel omega 2001 model, the only time I drove it was when I was in the drivers seat while it was towed from point of purchase to the mechos! After many months of trial and error, na the mechanic gan gan help me call Opel dealer wey come buy am as ngbuka for 60k back in 2011. I bought it for 100k.
I was only 21 after NYSC, I never get sense. |
