kandiikane: Wow! Nice.He started his in 2005, if I remember correctly. so about 7 years now. He has talked about cutting them ( blaming Islam, he is too old, blablabla. ), but I told him that if he shave, I shave. Lol. And, for the muslims: Google islam and dreadlocks/rasta. The only thing some imams worry about is the last cleansing; if the water can wash through all the hair. And with dreadlocks, it can ![]() Oh, and another reason he thinks about cutting..he kinda miss how they used to be. He has been jumped and thiefed FOUR times in 4years in Norway, and he fights back, and they pulled out about 30-35 rastas all together.. |
vodkat: . A guy I know is been forced right now to tatoo his girl name as a ring. For me dat is totally rubbish because it doesn't guarantee anything. Long story short tattoo is not iur thing although u have a lot of guys with it. I rather notForcing is not good. Trying your best to convince someone? Allowed ![]() |
Of course guys can wear jewellry in general. But not the same kind as most women, in my own eyes.. |
I love that heavy ban.g in front..looks like it matches the shape of your face. |
goodness1109: I will try this and see if and how it will work. I just love when i see people of my like-minds like you.Well, donty get angry and/or sad if she still says no, thats the chance you have to take ![]() I am hoping my hubby will change his mind when he sees mine..hehe..he has agreed to put our daughter name, but I wnat him to put both. Hehe.. People who do not love tattoos, will probably not see this the same way as people who love them. Tattoos are en expression of life for about 85% of the people who have them, I would say. Not just decoration. |
I only read the first page, and the last, but..hello. He is not likely to change, and like someone else said; do you really want to teach your kids that THIS is a healhty marriage? Is this good for your soul? Get the hell out of that marriage. Get a job. Do the best for you and your kids. |
Both are responsible. If you choose to have sex without a condom, or protection, you can get pregnant. Everybody knows that. But, make sure she IS pregnant, and take a dna-test when the baby is born if she has been fooling around. |
MsDarkSkin: interesting. It absolutely not for everyone, thats for sure. Not much work to take care of, though, if you`re like me and prefer the natural look The dreadlocks that are perfect all the way seems for me..too perfect. And aint nothing perfect in this world. |
goodness1109: How i wish my wife has similar opinion like yours! i have pressurised my wife to have tattoos because i love it but she has since refused. I just love tattoos on ladies!!!!Jallowbah, can u pls mail me on akinremibabatunde@yahoo.com, i need your advice on this issues. lol!Come home with her name on your chest -Might change her mind..!Tattoos are not for everyone. I am trying to convince my husband myself ![]() |
For some, it works like a charm. My hair didnt grow much before I to dreadlocks, actually.. Now they grow FAST. |
Proably allergies, yes. Look at what you eat the last time, was there anything there you dont normally eat too much of ? Try to cut out some of the things, narrow it down. Or even more simple: get an allergy-test from your doc. |
MsDarkSkin: I have a big forehead so I definitely won't go bald or low lmao.Thank you ![]() I have been bald, and had a mohawk. The mohawk looked damn good on me, thugh, but skinned? I looked like a damn nazi.. But my mother looked REALLY good with her head skinned 15years ago. |
proo212: Yes, that one...Looks like you know this particular passage, if so why do you ask the question? If its just how people use it, how do you reconcile how women are treated in Saudi Arabia and other Sharia states?Because there are different ones that can be translated into being about beating as well, it just depends how you read it. I wish I could read arabic, and could have read the book like that instead. Yeah, and look at their culture as well. And then, look at Gambia. Senegal. Look at Scandinavian countries, that are christian countries. It all depends how you translate it, and how much of the book people wish to keep included into the culture. |

proo212: Jallowbah, it says so in Surah 4:34. Google is your friend...Ah, that one. Well, thats kinda what I like about religion. You have many crazy things written in the bible as well, but luckily, most of the people dont follow it, or use their holy book as an ezcuse. Most religious people mix their religion very good up to the culture and society they live in. Everyone is an individual, and everybody translate the book their own way, and everyone is raised different. Its not religion that is bad, its how the people themself use it. |
kandiikane: The thing is the head shape on that is not the right shape for that.Naaah, I dont feel like I have seen enough of the face and head to actually say that. I want her to upload a pic, and just erase away the face ![]() |
oyb: you keep thinking it is all about materialismLike I said; as long as it has what I need, I wont trade it in. For you, thats different because you USE the newer things that come with it, you have interest in it. I know too much people who buy the newest every year, only to have the newst. They still use the tv for what they used it for the year before. And that for me, is a waste. My tv was a widescreen BOX, 32". We had the channels we needed, and almost never used the dvd-player that was 4years old. We didnt need more ![]() My first phone..ah, I almost miss it. That thing could take a beating. You could even play football with it ![]() I have changed phone three times in four years. Mainly because the old one got broken, as I the last 7 years have only bought used phones. My latest two phones was after my mum, who buy new ones even though she dont need it.. She just like having the new models. The last one got drowned by my daughter The only thing I love about new phones, is that they have camereas. I have been thiefed a few times, or had cameras broken and then I go and buy a used one that fits my needs. And I guess thats my point..if you dont NEED the newest, you only want it because it is new, I consider it a waste of money. If I on the other hand had a big interest for photographing, and needed good equipment, I would get the newest. |
oyb: yes, we still do, same reason why our parents still use em old tvs or refuse to change their cars or throw out the vcr. thats our comfort zone -I dont buy a new tv unless I need it. Why should I spend money on something that is not neeeded? I had a big box-tv until my husband got us a flatcreen for free from a friend. If not, we would have kept the big box until it got broken. No need for something more fancy, as long as it works for our needs. Same with a car..as long as it has everything you need, why spend money on a new one? It dont have to do with comfort, it has to do with not wanting to take part of the materialistic spending-world I am living in. And no, I dont think hardcopy-books will be here in 20 years, and that makes me a little bit sad. That does not mean that I will throw out my books, or that I will stop uying books as long as they sell them. I dont know about your country, but here, the newspapers still sell as much as they died two-three years ago. Yes, everything is getting more into the technology, but that does not mean for me that I feel the need to buy everything they come with. |
oyb: can i get you a horse to ride to workMe, and everyone I know, still read books Nice try, though.( And, I wish I had the energy to use cloth diapers. Much better for the enviroment, much better for the baby-skin. ) |
I want my kids to have both. Just because you CAN get everything digital, does not mean you HAVE to. ( About books. ) Just because something is on the way out, does not mean its not worth keeping. |
Ptolomeus: No. The section on Islam is private. So what they wanted. This is a public thread and everyone can say.Where do they write that it is okay to hit your spouse? They even write you should turn your back and walk away.. As for clothes; They write you should cover, not how much you should cover. Most muslim women I know dont wear hijabs, and wear colourful clothes and dress up like they want. Not much miniskirts around, though ![]() |
toba: do u still go to church or u now go to Mosque?Wops, I dont see this before now. I never went much to churches growing up, only under christmas-time, name-givings, weddings and funerals. My husband prefer praying at home instead of going to the mosque. I have only been in a mosque one time in my life, here in Norway. I do like the energy I get from outside the churches in Gambia more than here. They sing, they applaud, they get really into it. Here, you sit down, complitely quiet, you might sing some sad songs, and listen to the priest talking with not much energy. |
oyb: no one is saying they will use computers 24/7I think we are talking over each other a little bit here ![]() For school-things, using the computer in young age; no problem. But to sit and surf just for fun like I do when you are 6, 8 years old? Big problem. Tp use pc/tv just a few hours a day: yes. To have it on the whole day just for background-noise instead of f.ex music? No. I do want my kids to read books, yes, instead of having everything digital. Maybe that makes me old-fashioned? So be it, I can live with that ![]() My kid watches her favourite tv-show on my pc now and then, and I do know more and more people even drop the TV and only use computers, or hook the computers up to the tv and use it like that. I am talking about the fact that more and more kids get an Iphone to use as a toy, not for educational use. And -that- is wrong in my eyes. |
slimyem: i go out with my head just like that...no wigs..Some women look damn good with no hair, as long as the head-shape is good. |
seunfly: jallow your husband must be a lucky man for having you, i have been following all your post and i can see the way you love him, can do anything for him and how you two are so close even though you are both differ socialy. Girl keep it up and i pray that God will fuel your love for ever.Thank you very much ![]() |
oyb: therein lies the problem - for you a computer is simply a tool you use in the office - rather a tool for work, entertainment, education, interaction etc.No, it is also a tool for enjoyment, entertainment, education, etc. If not, I would not be writing on this forum, would I? ![]() But, no, I dont see the point in a 6year old, 10 year old surfing the internet on their own computer. For what? Playing games? ( They should get out the house and play games.) Watching a movie? ( You have dvd-players for that. No need to surf the net to watch movies. ) Educationn? ( What happened with reading a book?? ) Like I said; if my kids will need computers for school-work, they will be able to do so. But not for fun when they are 6,8,10 years old, no. And in my country, they start to learn to use computers in an early age, so I know they will probably need to use it at home too. But not for enjoyment at that early age, no. I would rather have my kids go out and play catch with each other, instead of playing catch on a computergame. |
centje: that's great,i like your spirit. Your welcome naijaland. Am following you, hope u will reciprocate.Thank you very much ![]() |
Kobojunkie: Depends on what you use your Ipad for. If you have an Ipad for business, I don't think you would want to give the same to your kids to play with or whatever it is they need it for school for.No, but then I dont feel that a kid -should- play with an Ipad. If it comes to that stage that when my girl starts school, they need to be able to access a computer at home, then I will buy an old, used one cheap, that she can use the few times its needed. I do not see the point in letting 10 year old kids have f.ex facebook. |
