oyb: you have just confimed that for you a computer is little more than a material possession or a toy rather than a work / business tool.I dont have a job where I use my laptop, no. If I need to use a computer at work, there is a computer there. In my world, most people get their own computer in their teens, wich I think is alright. Not at 6 years old as some people do here. For me, that is not alright at all. |
Ileke-IdI:I already did that too..hehe. Today is braiding-day, maybe I`ll try to check it out again. |
Youngzedd: There is nothing wrong with that, Nursery school pupils in Thailand are using Ipad to study, one each.To use it in school, and to expect the parents to buy it, is two different things. |
oyb: it is in countries like nigeria that people consider ipads to be status symbols/material thingsHelping your kids cope with the future, in this case computers etc, does not mean they need their own ipod or ipad They can always use their parents computer to train on, if needed. |
Evans5050: WHO ASKED YOU WAT YOU THOUGHT........ NA WA OOOO SUM PEOPLE BODY GO JST DEY PEPPER THEM Uhm..the OP asked what people think, did he not? |
centje: hi dear,i followed ur "hair style thread" frm pics u posted and together with ur post here. i got ur not a nigerian. So i want to know what drew ur attention to nairaland and what do u like abt this forum?I was at work, googling discussions about fulanis, as my husband is fulanis..this forum, and topi ( wich is filled up with aout 4-9 white women who got bumsters who cheated onn them ) came up. I started reading a little bit here, and found it interesting ![]() |
Ileke-IdI:Its the other way around for me They do NOT turn out good when I try to twist..maybe if I tried on a african persons hair instead of my daughters hair?![]() |
afam4eva: One of the ways through which inter-tribal marraiges work is if the two couples decide to let go of their ethnic affnitity and pursue a common one. It;s rare to find an Ohaneze Chieftain who seeks for the betterment of Igbo land it's people getting married to an Owambe Yoruba lady who knows nothing else but to speak, eat and sleep Yoruba.I agree here. You have to mix everything together. |
gree-die:IN every marriage you have to compromise. Even more so when you marry someone from a different culture/tribe. My family have a problem with me thinking it is VERY important for my daughter to learn the african culture. What she dont see is that when we are in Africa, I tend to bring in more of my norwegian ways than what I actually do in Norway. His family think he has become too influenced from living in EU for 13 years. ( For example; when someone dies in Gambia, they just die. No trying to figure out how, no hospital-checkings to find out the caue, unless you pay for it. Here; they find out FOR you, unless its obvious why the person died. Also; he dont want more than two kids. For his family, that is INSANE. ) |
semid4lyfe: Been viewing you & hussie's pics and they're cute. Wish you the best of married lifeThank you very much ![]() |
Nice. I have been trying to learn the twists, but..naaah. |
petokey: so you think my dear, others think differently.So..true love means to just overlook the fact that your spouse is naked in the bed with another person? Pft. |
That is being naive. |
He is a gambian fulani, I am a norwegian...norwegian. The cultures are actually not too different in some ways, but in others again, veery different. Our biggest challenge has been the language. He speaks street-english, cause he never went to school, and I speak school-english. It has been some big misunderstandings;; our biggest fights have been because of just misunderstaning each other. But it works. Very good, actually. I never thought I would fall inn love with someone so different, but still so much like me. I would, like someone else said, marry him over and over again. And I might add: Some of his familymembers love me, others wish he did not marry a white woman. In my family, its the same. Mostly because he is a muslim, and dont have papers in Norway, and therefor can not work here. |
Brand_new: That`s a good way to make kids responsible..And to teach them the real value of things. In Norway, kids at down to 6years have a damn Iphone. Why...? Its bull. |

Not without shirts to cover your underwear, no. Unless you are at home or on the beach with no shirt. This is nice: |
What I think? Thats its crazy to buy such a young girl an Ipad. For me, the world is way too focused on material things. Insane. And ipod on the other hand, you can get for 1/10 of the new price when you get it used, so. Meh. Take the money from the kids weekly payment for helping around the house if they really want these kind of things. |
3 years as husband and wife, and I couldnt celebrate it with him. Our daughter is looking at his pictures going "babaaaaa" and smiling. |
Pagan. There is no getting thourh to you, even when I talk with respect against your hate. I have told nothing but the truth in this forum, and never tried to be anything I am not. Don`t drag my child into your mockery of me, that is just low. If you actually used logic, and read what I write, I wouldnt have to answer the same damn things over and over. People like you will never listen to what anyone else have to say, unless they AGREE with you. Everyone else is wrong, you have the one and only truth. That is how your mind works. From now on; ignore me, and I`ll ignore you. People who hate me have no place in my life, neither do they deserve my energy, and efford to talk with respect. Again; leave my daughter out of it. Have a fantastic day, fantastic life, and I pray that you one day will open your eyes and ears to other peoples sides of things, instead of viewing only your own, and I also pray that you one day will let go of all your hate. Bye. |
mystikal: I am not my hair.I love that song. |
shilling: Nothing fancy, just a regular center part weave with leaveout in my front perimeter.I dont know how it is in Nigeria, but in Gambia they have markets where women and men sell everything..I got it there. Sliced up, laying out in the open. But you can google it and order online as well ![]() |
Why do you want to be with a man that treats you like this? |
kandiikane: @jallowbah, from the last time I posted, I made a new wig cap. It's a full head with a side fringe.Oooh..my friend have kinda like that too. Reminds me of Rihanna with dark hair, long front. |
Ptolomeus: friend:We agree on more than one thing, I can see. I was mistaken in how I took your words. Not everything is easy to read thw way the writer intended in forums/internet. |
Warfibabe: Abeg E don do oh!. . . If you both have personal issues with each other, please take it outside. . . Seriously you are bugging some of us with your rubbish writings. Thanks. We dont have a personal issue, he just hate white people. And since I am white, I kinda feel the need to defend myself ![]() |
Wuhuuu, pictures ![]() I love this. What I like about african women, and men for that matter, is how they change it now and then. One day you`ll meet a girl with short hair, the next, she`s rocking braids down to her waist. I love it. |
ekt_bear: pretty much ordinary black man hair, i guess. Curly and nappy.Be careful with the term nappy in here..I just got noticed for that one ![]() How short? |
kandiikane: LOL! I see. Well, for now I really don't use much on my hair since I cut it. My hair is weird, if I start using different products on it, it breaks so right not I just use indian hemp and shea butter.People tend to think that everyone can use the same..good to see you know better ![]() I love hair. I cant wait to go to school next year! |
hollas2jnr: Oops! sorry i checked in late... i see okiki_oluwa had already bailed me out. forgiven me?Of course. Now, show me your hair! |
sanb: mine is short and i have the anita baker lookFancy Plain black, or you added some colours? |
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JHzftGgZtdU I am not much of a Rihanna-fan, but some songs of her are good. This one is a little bit relaxed, but still..love the rhythm. |
