The book of Galatians in general was a polemic against the Judaizers (Those who tried to make it mandatory for gentile converts to Christianity to observe the mosaic laws). How Soon is Soon?
Performing a search of the word “soon” in the Watchtower Library 2014 software program will result in over 15,ooo occurrences of the word. Needless to say, it’s a word that the Watchtower Bible & Tract Society has been using since their inception in the 1870’s. Their use of the word is to instill a sense of urgency in their members to peddle their literature at doors and on the sidewalks around the world.

If you read these articles in between 1995 and 2002, would you have been thinking that the Watchtower’s use of “soon” would mean longer than 15 to 20 years? Or would you have thought like many others that “soon” was an imminent period of time of less than a couple of years?

Or maybe more of them have passed away after spending a life time preaching a message of doom to many of their neighbors with the belief that “soon” is a period of time that is no more than a couple of years.
