The Lagos State Government has introduced a 10-day paternity leave for male civil servants and extended maternity leave for female worker to six months.Speaking at a joint press conference at the Bagauda Kaltho Press Centre, Alausa, the state Head of Service, Mrs Josephine Williams, said the new leave regime was meant to reduce the negative implication of the extensive work life of parents, who are civil servants in the state. She said, “A female officer shall be entitled to twenty-four weeks maternity leave with full pay in case of her first two deliveries. The said leave shall commence, at least two weeks before the expected delivery date; a male officer, to who a new baby (or babies in case of multiple births) is born shall be entitled to 10 working days.”Williams added that subsequent deliveries by any employees would attract only 12 weeks maternity leave for the female officer, while the male officer would not be entitled to the 10-day leave. The Special Adviser to the Governor on Public Health, Dr. Yewande Adeshina, said the six-month leave would enable the nursing female public servants to implement the recommended six months exclusive breast feeding.“At six months or 24 weeks, a baby is considered strong enough to be left in decent crèche for proper care having gone through close affection and nurturing by mother,” she said. http://www.punchng.com/news/lagos-okays-six-month-maternity-leave-10-days-for-fathers/ |

neutralist: cscs online account log on details is what am asking for, whose right it is to have the log on info. My broker opened this account for me free of charge but i was not given login details. My question is do i have a right over it or is it meant for clearing house only. You need to be sure of what your Stockbroker opened for you. Did you have account with before or you just opened one. If you had an account with them and you then requested for an online access to your cscs account then they should chrage you 2500 and give you the logging details |
To all PDP supporters. Is it that you believe that there must not be any form of opposition to Jonathan because he's truly performing wonders. Or you just hate APC ways of opposition. Jonathan has not impressed me because I expected alot from him,so I wonder why people dont tolerate any opposition to him. After all we are all Nigerians and we deserve the best. Even Democrats disagree with Obama and castigate him. Objective reasoning please |
Decibel: Many APC members will comitt succide if this hurricane rocking their sinking ship does not stop. I weep for my country. Its a lie see his tweet |

Sincere 9gerian: Did she get the job because of her MBA degree? I dont think so. She got the job because of what she did with the Neighbour-to-neighbour stuff and her past work experience. The MBA degree was a superfluous requirement.so you are blind to the fact that she lied. May God be blind to your heart desires only if you are blind to her lies |
Sincere 9gerian: Those without sin should cast the first stone.with this kind reasoning, Nigeria can never move forward. Sincere 9gerian, let me ask you a sincere question, if this expose had happened in a country called Biafra, would you still say this same thing you mentioned Akinwumi Adeshina, what has he done ooo? i still give my wife same amount for owo obe(soup money) |
