benebaby77:Thanks for helping me explain. There are 1001 other firms you can apply to. |
Many Nigerians don't care about others except #9. Even at that, people prefer to continue to "rough" it. In all my 8 years career, salary has never been delayed for 2 days after the 25th pay day. Except in January 2009, at the height of the global economic crunch when it was delayed for 5 days ( we were paid 31st or so) due to cashflow issues. Salary delay is not something I want to experience at all. |
PerfectFortune:Cheap publicity TP who? How will anyone use exposure of sexcapade as path to cheap publicity of all things available to use? Why not opt for an expose on how he secretly gave someone N10m? |
The joke is still on him, not her. |
I must confess Bukola Saraki is not a good advert as No 3 man for a government that wants to make corruption fighting its cardinal goal. |
He is yet to recover from the damage of Alams pardon, you wan add to his international disrepute. |
Itzlinda:Only that the bonus part would not be there. Those firms don't take 2.2. |
Igba kan o lo bi orere. Oba mewa, Igba mewa |
Everyone has a history. Only roughly 20% of people are from rich homes and the rest 80% from poor homes. A good number of the 80% from poor homes must have gone through these kinds of jobs in their life. That is why GEJ's "I had no shoe" did not sell to me. Almost 50% of people of their generation did not. Obasanjo was even poorer. |
MistarT:Well, because the job is for OND holders. Jobs that require OND have little or no competition. HND holders are competing with Bsc. |

Ymodulus:You can complete them in 2 years. |
Ymodulus:Modifying something. Just booked space with that |
1, Since you're beginning to like accounting, I will advise you go for accounting professional exams. ICAN and ACCA are both OK. ACCA is more expensive and has international recognition. I however have a personal bias toward ICAN. 2, I won't advise you to go for ICAN if it is not OK. But which is better? I don't know. Again, I have a personal bias toward ICAN. 3, If age is on your side (i.e below 23) and you can afford it or can get a funding, there is nothing bad in going for Masters immediately. But in what course are you interested in pursuing Masters in? Bonus: Since you have made up your mind to pursue a finance/accounting career, start applying for professional services firms (PwC, KPMG, Deloitte, EY etc). Thankfully all they need to invite you for test is first degree in any subject (including QS), 2.1 minimum, and below 25 for most of them. They don't need ICAN or ACCA to give you job if you do well in their test and interviews. But having that you're an ICAN student on your CV shows you already have interest in their field. They're good training ground for many accounting/finance professional who did not study accounting. Group CFO of Oando studied an engineering course and got his training in Oando. He's a finance guru today. Thousands of them like that. |
PassingShot:Even a primary school current affairs student should know that Amaechi cannot be minister of petroleum, at least not under a Buhari government. Too sensitive for a politician like Amaechi. |
Ymodulus:1, Both are OK. ACCA is more expensive and has more international recognition. It's 50-50 for me. Just make up your mind and opt for one. I have a personal bias for ICAN though. 2, ICAN is now in 3 levels (4 or 5 subjects in each level or so). You start from level one. ACCA too has about 17 subjects or so. You start from the scratch. I presume you're a graduate. 3, Both are written twice a year: ICAN (May and November); ACCA (June and December). First thing is to register as a student. If you start today for example, your registration number will come out by June or so. Meaning the earliest time you can write first exam in November 2015. Same for ACCA. I don't know how fast their registration process is, but it doesn't appear you can write June 2015 exam, December diet is your best bet. |
Here, all employees were given to be able to respond to email anytime. The BlackBerry was also set for everyone's official signature. There was a time I got a new replacement blackberry and had not reset the signature from "Sent from Blackberry.." I sent an email to a top level person in our UK office with that BlackBerry signature and she just put a comment/reminder after replying my message, that I should change my BB email signature to official. I have not remembered to change, but will do now. That said, it is a very flimsy excuse to sack someone because of that. The person should just be corrected, and at worst given a mild query. Not a sackable offence. |
It is actually achievable. He only needs the 45 PDP Senators and 10 APC senators. But I trust Tinubu to nip this in the bud. |
Are the traditional rulers also refunding their own? We told them these people do not have control over 10, they were deceiving the president. |
How will anyone go to interview in un-ironed cloth? Nobody cares about any excuse. Many options Go and borrow clothes. If you don't have money, borrow money and get a laundry man do it for you. You can do wait and get. That's the silliest reason anyone can miss job for. |
MuguliciousMUGU:1 Mumu and 10 Mumu likers. Take dictionary and check the difference between house and hotel. |

onila:And sadly killed in 1966 coup. |
ednut1:We may be wrong, but I saw some sentences that were word for word from our own list (like the note on architecture and Nursing). Looks like someone tweaked our list and repackaged it. |
We did similar list for JarusHub last year http://www.jarushub.com/10-most-marketable-courses-in-nigeria/ I still believe Medicine is the most lucrative course though. |
midolian:He openly said that "GEJ must not continue, rather the party should field another candidate." He was ignored. But he only worked for GEJ as a party man. Unfortunately for him, APC was on rampage and consumed but him and Jonathan. |
I have read the guy's columns a couple of times. He appears like an embittered person. His articles are too hate-filled for my liking. If he's not insulting his fellow celebrities, he's busy abusing politicians and public figures or parties. |
She sees every guy that tries to initiate discussion with her or get her attention as wanting to "toast" her. Not every man that tries to talk to you has that motive. Some of us are just plain networkers. |
xreal:Tony is actually bigger than ministerial or cbn appointment. |

Self contain pass self-contain o Self contain for Lekki, pass 3 bedroom for Ikorodu. |
Story story. I was expecting to see quote of Buhari where he said "south east/Igbos cheated" or word to that effect. So because he said elections in some area were a sham, he should go to school in MIT. I dey laff o I guess the international observers that declared Rivers elections a sham also need to go to MIT for democracy lessons. Trying to incite ethnic sentiments against Buhari. Well, it's part of the game. |
