barcanista: That is the difference between Jonathan and Buhari. While Buhari and APC vowed to cause chaos by forming Parallel government if they lose, Jonathan being a perfect gentleman and a democrat to the core respected the will of the people and showed sportsmanship. Jonathan is a hero!!!!! They only said they would form parallel govt if they won and we're denied. |

Built my first house in the village, while still living in a rented apartment in the city. It's a tradition in our family, or our town sef. All of us built our first houses at our hometown.
I don't have any regret. The two weeks I spend in that house anytime I'm in the village for sallah(festival) are my happiest in the year.
Now about completing my city house. |

It is your post that is hoax.
Orubebe drama happened around 12noon
Jonathan called Buhari 17:15pm, five hours later.
The call had nothing to do with dowsing the consequence of Orubebe drama escalating.
If anything, a better inference is that, Jonathan conceded when the Orubebe gameplan didn't work. |

themodernman: Hence d North must always be involved while the rest play "mini-mini-mani-mo"?
I really envy the Northerners. E be like sey na dem get Nigeria. It is not a matter of mini. They are only smarter in politics, and are the usual beautiful bride. There is nothing that says the Igbos and Yorubas cannot form alliance. |
Politics › Re: Asari Dokubo Told To Leave Ndigbo Alone In His Propaganda by Jarus(m): 8:12pm On Apr 02, 2015 |
In the First Republic, Igbo (Zik, NCNC) and the North (Sardauna/Balewa, NPC) formed alliance that was too much for the West (Awolowo, AG), and AG, not having enough seats in the parliament to produce Awo as Prime Minister, Awo could only become opposition leader, while the team with majority (NPC and NCNC) produced President (Zik, NCNC) and Prime Minister (Balewa, NPC).
In the second republic, NPN was dominated by Northerners and Igbos, and they produced president (Shagari) and VP (Ekwueme).
Igbos and the North in civilian dispensations have always been friends, while Yoruba traditionally played opposition.
This is the first time Yoruba is involved in mainstream. You can hardly achieve mainstream by not forging alliance. The current generation of Igbos do not appear to get this, and the SW outsmarted them. |

kaboninc: I pity us and most especially, people like you who hype this man.
You talk about international community respect?
Nigeria is attracting positive commendations and accolades from world leaders and international community simply because one humble man accepted defeat and conceded. He has kept to his word that not one blood of any Nigerian is worth his political ambition.
That was why investors' confidence was renewed. The uncertainty hovering the air over Nigeria has certainly been diffused.
Not because Buhari won.
Take it the other way, what happened when Buhari lost in 2011? You are well informed to know.
Should you be partisan, please be. But do not mistake non-partisanship to partisanship. Ignoramus. If you followed the news in the last 3 months, you will know the body language of the international community was preference for Buhari to win. US, UK and other international powers almost never hid it. So glaring that even while election collating was going on, UK and US issued a statement that they heard feelers that Jonathan's government wanted to truncate the process and that no interference with the will of the people will be allowed. International press never hid it. Some even openly endorsed Buhari. |
