Abeg we complain too much. Don't let us be cry-babies. We make meanings of too many things.

Supersport is pro-Africa. Their analysts say categorically how far they want African teams to go. No European opens a thread saying the Europe hatred is beyond belief.

I don't like cry-babyism.

ax2xb: Not to bore you all with long talk ;

Met her in late-2011 and we broke up late-2012. We made up around Feb 2013 and I got boxed up quite well. Bought a car for myself; and bought one for her around Sept 2013 . .

But her attitude is pissing me off. I always try to live on a budget; and she doesn't. She's the big-spender type of grl and I have always told her it's good to save for the rainy days. All na wash!!! She nor dey gree hear.

What pisses me is that this lady is actually 29. How can a 29-year old not know how to manage finances?

We had a quarrel last three weeks and she drove home, and ever since has not called me or even pinged or sent a message.
She's actually waiting for me to say I'm sorry (for a crime i didn't commit; she's wrong not me). Ive done that before, always saying sorry and pampering her even when I am right. But no more!! I refuse to do so again. Right now, she uploads pics of her jugs on Facebook and BBM;
What the heck is she doing? Trying to find another man? I have totally lost it.

How can you not even call me? To know even if Im alive or dead after 3weeks . . instead you're busy changing DPs on BBM
Well, I've decided to move on, but i can forfeit all i've spent and invested . . But I no fit leave the car? I only gave her the copies.
The originals are in my name, so I want it back. I can actually leave it for her, but i don't want anyone pointing at me to her friends,
calling me the greatest mugu of all time . . .

What do you think?

To think Mikel will beat Yaya to APOTY in 2013 is to take optimism too far. I dont know whatis glaring like this is difficult to discern. If Mikel wins I will tattoo Seun Osewa on my bum.

solomon111: It's only in Nigeria you see people hating on their fellow citizens that you begin to wonder.
The hate is almost withcraft-like.
Why wasn't african football brought into disrepute when okocha was robbed?
Okocha was not robbed. Eto'o outdid him in all the years they competed. So was Mustapha Hadji in 1998.

I pray I'm proved wrong too. Unfortunately, Nigeria has only 2 votes (Yobo and Keshi). That is where sympathy and patriotism end.

While you may be right to keep away, you actually can be free once you have vaccine. With vaccine, you're fine, no matter the contact again. Vaccine success rate (immunity) is put at 95% for like 20 years after vaccination.

Purist: You stopped supporting Ghana because of ONE comment made by some random anonymous user? And how exactly does your singular experience translate to the 'majority'? huh
That was just the height. I have been a member of Ghanaweb long enough (for about 6 years now) to know the level of general hatred.
Sports › Re: Ghana-Nigeria Relations: Thoughts From Football Perspective by Jarus(m): 7:59pm On Jan 06, 2014
Essien is a great guy. Majority of Ghanaian football followers are not. I remember jsut before the final of the 2008 olympics between Nigeria and Argentina, where one Ghanaian user on Ghanaweb said he would commit suicide if Nigeria won. Since that day, I stopped supproting Ghana in any competition. I supported Uruguay against then in SA 2010.

sentimental votes by who? Nigeria has only 2 votes: Keshi and Yobo. Other African countriesno dey look Uche face.

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Shell Tops Jobberman’s List Of 100 Best Companies In Nigeria by Jarus(m): 5:14pm On Jan 03, 2014
Konnektions146: yes I totally understand,
now with respect to T&grin, SPDC is good, career growth and all that but they re amongst the least with pay amongst dey IOcs.
I have some knowledge on how oil & gas industry in Nigeria works and as such my objection initially.

Moreso, there are companies on that list that ought not to be there, training and develelopment is almost non-existence an the pay is just appalling.
as well when conducting such survey, I think its better to speak to employers in the specific industry and not just anyone who thinks these guys are good.

this is a very cumbersome kinda survey that core HR professionals like Jarus should make inputs and not a layman
Yes, the response to survey was driven more by perception than reality.
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Shell Tops Jobberman’s List Of 100 Best Companies In Nigeria by Jarus(m): 9:14pm On Jan 02, 2014
Konnektions146: thanks Boss.
Remember however that it's not by pay alone. the fact that Shell is not the highest may not mean it cannot be the best company to work for in Nigeria. Other factors in their favour can trump pay and rank them first.

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Shell Tops Jobberman’s List Of 100 Best Companies In Nigeria by Jarus(m): 7:53pm On Jan 02, 2014
Konnektions146: hmmmmmm....was that list in order of what? best on top or haphazardly placed?

I could see some 70k graduate pay companies above some good paying companies.

I know Jarus knows better than this but probably wouldn't wanna discredit jobberman.

I am not saying the list is bad but a lot of job need to be done. imagine shell above Total and Mobil...Arik before Seplat..this must be a joke
Jobberman never said Shell is the highest paying. Salary was just one of the factors used. The major issue is, people out there (Nigerians in general, from which the survey space was drawn) wrongly perceive Shell as the highest paying IOC. They are however the best, or one of the best, in terms of training and development, but far from being the highest paying. In fact, they may be the lowest paying IOC. However, people who are not in the industry (who formed the majority of the survey sample) think Shell pays most. Not taking anything away from Shell though.
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: 2013 Shell Recruitment Day Application For Fresh Graduates by Jarus(m): 7:48pm On Jan 02, 2014
texasbreed: salary wise shell is best multinational company to work for according to jobberman....like seriously is this true....Guys with good info pls elucidate
It was as a result of the wrong perception of people that participated in the survey (and generality of Nigerians). Shell is a great place to work, but not the highest paying IOC. In fact, It is one of teh least paying IOCs. But the perception out there is 'eh Shell, money ritual'.

safarigirl: no mind am, dem boku for here, the Naija haters, even if Enyeama broke the European record, they would still take Yaya. My own sef has to do with why they omitted Enyeama and put Drogba instead, cuz Enyeama deserved this ish more than anyone else on that top 3- yes, including Yeye, abi is it because your colonial masters are hyping him? Doesn't matter who they choose, the shiit is a set-up anyways. Enyeama is the REAL APoTY
It's not about hating Nigeria. I will be so happy to see a Nigerian win it; it even gives me bragging right against the loud-mouthed Ghanaians and other African countries. But this is reality.
