dayokanu: Mac, It doesnt matter how your wife does men would still hit on her regardless as long as she leaves the house. I know a friend who has toasted a pregnant woman on the street before. Even in the North where women dont leave the house, Men still find a way to stand behind the wall and the wife peep over the wall talking to another man. Soon she leaves the house and move in with the new lover.First time I'm seeing DK posting with seriousness. |
May illness of any type nevee be our portion. Kindly assist the gentleman. |
Entering the thread late. Still observing |
Take it easu here |
I must say Uyo has very great road network. Typing this from there now. This beats Sokoto and Ilorin that I had earlier nominated on this thread. Meanwhile, were all these done by Gov Akpabio or his predecessors? |
BlackBaron: Speak for what you know dude...Yes, that is why Okun's most influential politician, late Sunday Awoniyi, was the spokesperson of the North as Arewa Consultative Forum Chairman and his arch-rival for 30 years, Sunday Daniyan, was also a key northern political figure. |
BlackBaron: Can't speak for 'Kwarans'Like Sunday Awoniyi, Sunday Daniyan and the heirs to their political structure? |
Aigbofa: As long as Nigeria remains one country, it is foolish for either OPC or the northern establishment to lay claim to any section of the country. If Nigeria splits, then everyone will know where his land starts and where it ends. This may be done peacefully or violently, that is the reality.Yeah, that's it. Maybe OPC & Dr Junaid are only on pre-match |
Desola: You are trying to be clever but some of us see through your veil. You are not only referring to Kwarans as geographical northerners but asserting that they are northerners in culture, traditions and religion. Who died and made you the spokesperson for the Kwarans, anyway? You bloody divisionist who thrive on propaganda and subjugation. You are northerners; inferior set of barbaric baboons who were mistakenly amalgamated with civilised people. You lot belong to Niger republic blood suckers!Niger republic? What of Mali? NB to serious followers of this thread: I never said we are northerners in 'culture, tradition and religion'. I have never failed to mention that we are northerners only by geo-political classification and we, especially Kwara South, clearly have more cultural affinity with the SW. This much I made known in more serious platforms. You may google my article: 1, Offa: History Beckons (2011, Sun, Thisday, Punch) and 2, Offa: A recipe for sustainable development (2010, Sun, Thisday) Oya, let my fun with Iyalode Desola and Otun Iyalode Ileke Idi continue ![]() |
Aigbofa: My friend, this is 2012.2012. Nothing has changed from the time some tortoise-on-the-neck OPC members tried it in 2003/4 ![]() |
Calm down, no one is taking Offa anywhere, we shall all live or die in this our Nigeria. so semantics lo cause wahala lati aro? North is a geographical expression afterall ![]() This was how one edoyad started claiming that he is not a Northerner but a middlebelter. mumu
I wonder too o. How can a Kaduna boy claim he is not a northerner! Some people need lecturing that geographical expression (north) is different from ethnic grouping (Hausa, Fulani). Or is middle belt in his own compass? ![]() |
Aigbofa: LMAO! It is not up to fools to lecture Yorubas on unity. If you want to take Offa or Ilorin, you should be prepared to fight for it.We Offa can still be gotten back, at least we don't deny our Yorubaness and we never claim to be any other tribe than Yoruba. But Ilorin, forget! You(ok, we) have lost Ilorin. An average Ilorin person sees himself as Fulani, even if he doesn't speak any other language than Yoruba and his name is Bukola. Trying to reclaim Ilorin? I'm afraid another bloodied nose reminiscent of the Afonja/Alimi/Solagberu of old will be recorded. OPC tried it and had themselves to blame. Let sleeping dog lie. 80% of Ilorin people see themselves as Fulani. |
Aigbofa: LMAO! It is not up to fools to lecture Yorubas on unity. If you want to take Offa or Ilorin, you should be prepared to fight for it.Go and bring back Yorubas in Benin republic first. |
I am a Yoruba man, my father was a core Awoist. But the last time I checked, Kwara(plus us Yoruba there) is North Central, not SouthWest. If FG were to appoint a 6-man board of a federal parastatal now, one person from each Geo-political zone and I get nomination, will I be counted as SW rep? No. So why would I claim to be a southerner when officially I am a northerner? Sunday Awoniyi, Chairman of Arewa Consultative Forum, was a Yorubaman and one of Sardauna's most endured loyalists. No big deal, we have no problems being in the North and that doesn't reduce our Yorubaness |
Desola: Thank you!Proudly aboki ![]() |
Jarus, no disrespect, but you need to learn your limit with this "I am a Yoruba from the North" story. Please. Okay. We as in "you and yourself" right?

Jarus, no disrespect, but you need to learn your limit with this "I am a Yoruba from the North" story. Please. Okay. We as in "you and yourself" right?
What limit? We=Offa people. At least, you can't know my people more than I do. |
Aigbofa: I am Yoruba, and not an inch of Yorubaland will be ceded to a foreign country ever again. What if we decide we want to go with the North? You will come and pull us back like you pulled Yorubas in Benin Republic abi? |
I am from Offa, born and bred there, an active 'youth voice' in the community, having written a number of articles on the politics of the town. We are Yoruba, no controversy about that; we are northerners too, at least since 1914. I'm particularly indifferent about where we end up, in the event of split. North or South, I'm ok. |
Odunnu: Jarus in romance section?!Mallam no dey dey romantic? ![]() At least this is the right section na OAM4J: Make Seun sef announce to us who is or who is becoming Mrs OsewaAbi o. Make the big boss announce jare. Abi Seun na Ijebu ni? ![]() And hmmnnn, love indeed! |
Odunnu: Hahahahahaha, take DK's advice. Take the weekend off, get a room and shag yourselves! Its obvious you both are hot for each other.Tufiakwa. |
freecocoa: I'm not sure who she is so help a sister out here, does her moniker start with T and end with A?She never enter here. Don't worry, when she shows up, the fight (which started since 2008, latest round being on the 'Top 10 rivalries' thread), will continue here. ![]() |
All politics aside, it appears that NLers actually love each other. Most of them are wonderful people who cannot hurt a fly. They simply use NL to vent their anger and displeasure - NL is a better therapy than employing terrorism or subversive methods.
True. I'm sure if I die and my an obituary thread us opened for me on NL, even my no 1 enemy on NL (you all know her) will e-weep for me. |
wesley80: Was about directing and "politics-izing" the topic by highlighting similarities and dissimilarities between his case and Sanusi's plagiarism case but before I could make the follow up post, my thread was gone! Anyway, I looked through the Foreign Affairs section and saw an earlier post on same subject by PhysicsQED, maybe his should get the publicity if any.Physics' own was eventually considered for hp. |
Wow, can't believe this! Fareed, that brilliant guy. One of CNN's most respected analyst. Honourable he accepted the slip and apologized. |
wesley80: Mods, Please what happened to my Fareed Zakaria post?It was moved to the right section, Foreign Affairs. It's a nice, informative thread. I have already forwarded it to homepaging authorities to give it hp exposure. |
How does this discussion affect the price of Garri? ![]() |
I said here when that law was passed that drivers will rather crush the LASTMA guys than go to jail. That is my route too and, given the serious traffic we experience on that road due to the construction activities of the incompetent Lagos state govt's concessionaire, LCC. I also take that one-way once in a while. Now it's a story foretold. Those LASTMA guys can be very daring. Even if the lady will eventually spend the rest of her life in jail, it doesn't bring back the life of the dead officer. And another person will fill the vacancy. |
Sequel to your advertisement, I beg to apply for the position of Moderator in Education section. I look forward to a favourable consideration. Thank you |
So she married at 19? Faabu-lous |
