When tehy score many goals, like 45, you will say the league is cheap. Anyway, I've also been wondering why the record highest score in a season is 17 goals. |
rokiatu:Reminds me of something that happened on the Ghanaian web I used to frequent, ghanaweb. There was a very popular guy in their Sports section called Cerezo. The guy was joking about another forumer's death few days earlier. He even pasted the guy's Obituary on the thread. When reminded that he was going extreme by posting someone's Obituary, he replied: what's it about death sef? Guess what, Cerezo died few days later. |
^^ key word here is "threads" (plural). No need to take anything personal since you yourself mentioned other threads in your original post. and all you need to do is find out what his other ids/sidekicks are.
ok. . . but I don't know how someone that hasn't been opening his account will see my PM. Until he comes back my PM will definitely be lying there, of no effect, but with open thread, someone that knows him off-NL(like on FB, physically etc) can tell us teh true position. Anyway, at least you were civil in your response, no insult, to my surprise. Keep it up. |

RoadStar:oh sorry, I should have assessed it with the independent NTA investigations |
mikeansy:Bros, the passion with which you dey tackle Sanusi get as e be o ![]() More seriously, I think I have seen this your question answered by Ibime before. We cannot use Babalola's, and more ridiculously, Gusau's statements as vote of no confidence. So I don't know the government of the day that has passed VONC on him. If anything, from Sahara's investigations, they said even though those around GJ may not be comfortable with SLS, GJ himself is Ok with him. No VONC has been passed on him, especially when it is clear that Gusau's 'VONC' was out of some selfish interests. Even though presidential support for SLS has waned since the exit of YRD, If I were Sanusi, I'll still not resign, because doing so makes him a coward and a lot of people will vilify him for abandoning his project mid way. I will continue undeterred and do my job in the best way I know, not minding what the corrupt cabals that fed fat on the status quo want. If I'm removed, I'll still emerge heroic, after all, despite the spurious manner Ribadu was eased out, he still remains a hero in many Nigerians' books. |
Hmmmnnnn, this is very interesting and intriguing. Sahara reporters, I know, could not be fronting for Sanusi, so this piece appears to me leaning towards truth, and borne out of pure investigative journalism. It is on this premise that I will comment on the issues and personalities manipulated: GUSAU: With his unusual comment last week, it is very difficult not to believe that all that is said about him in that report. His utterance, which is detached from his primary work, makes it difficult to believe that he was not acting a script. The grand plan on how it will work out eventually did not work out as SLS did not reply him. CECILIA: I'm not surprised at her machinations, after all she raised 2 billion to stop SLS from becoming CBN guv in teh first place. REMI BABALOLA: Remi Babalola is my favourite finance person in government today, even more than Aganga. He comes across as a brilliant guy, but if it's true that he is part of this unholy plot, then I will be disappointed at him. Not because he was a fellow ED with SLS at FBN and knows sanusi better. On the presumption that he was being altruistic and professional, I took his subtle jibe at SLS' reforms sometime ago with respect, because I didn't think Remi can be used by anybody to hatch any agenda, not least Ibru with all her open undoings. But if the allegations against him as part of the plot are true, then I'm disappointed. TONY ELUMELU: I have always known that Tony had a subtle beef for SLS, but he has been very professional with it and I respect him for that. I read his interview last year shortly after Sanusi's pronouncement of 10-year tenure policy that affected him, and I saw surreptitious dissatisfaction with SLS but he was very, very professional with it. I'm aware he and Sanusi had issues in UBA during the merger of UBA and STB for which Tony brought Osadolor from STB as ED -Risk Mgt and Sanusi coming from UBA a GM reporting to Osadolor. But Tony and co recognized SLS was good enough for EDship. JIM OVIA: Big boy Jim has been silent on the banking reforms, but like any other person, he will not be happy with his sudden retirement by Sanusi's tenure limit policy. I will not be surprised if he's part of the plot to fight back SLS. FARIDA: What more can one say! This is why a personality like Nuhu Ribadu will be better at this point in time. SANUSI; This is surely a trying time for SLS and he is pretty aware of the plots against him. Knowing SLS pre-CBN, I know he himself is not a gentle man. I'm just looking forward to post-CBN Sanusi that will pick back his pen and send the likes of Gusau and co to the cleaners. The more I read the over 30 SLS literary wars (as articles) which I have on my system, the more I'm convinced that this Sanusi can not be a pawn in anybody's political chess game. Sanusi will talk, after leaving office. . mark my word. Now, let the drama keeps unfolding . . . |
On a serious note, I'll not say he's mad or insane, as that's a bit too harsh. But I strongly believe he is mentally challenged, may God forgive me if I'm wrong |
kai see pikins of dese days |
I'm highly surprised a very popular personality like MrCrackles can be absent from NL for about six weeks now and nobody has asked after him. We've had threads asking for the whereabouts of even less popular personalities. Kobojunkie, Deepzone, Bawomolo, Olabowale and co were not around for just a couple of weeks and threads sprang up to ask after them. Please who knows what happened to MrCrackles? |

I couldn't get anything out of my attempt to interview him as he ended up asking me funny questions like 'do you want money?' 'are you the owner of nairaland?' etc |
I wrote it in 2006. If it has not changed the following could be useful: -60 questions -90 minutes -Mixture of quantitative and verbal aptitudes -The quantitative aspect is more of business maths and word problems, one or two questions on simple/compound interest. Tip is knowing how to reduce statements into figures and work out to answer -Verbal aspect consists of usual 'nearest in meaning', 'opposite in meaning' etc. Watch out for words like 'Intransigence', if I'm not going too far for you -One or two of the quantitative questions did not have answers in the options -Don't waste too much time on knotty questions, move on, you may guess, as I don't think there is negative marking -The passmark is 50% Needless to say that it was the cheapest test I ever wrote. Scored 73% to top the batch then, but didn't take the offer eventually. |
tkb417:Hauwa Audu is from Edo State, not North. |

CrazyMan:Too popular |
What exactly is wrong with this woman called Mama Gee? If you want to become a Mod why not come out directly and tell Seun you want one rather that opening ridiculous threads such as: -Who appoints Mods? -When will new Mods be appointed? -What is the criteria for appointing Mods -etc, etc This is the most childish way to go about it. |
CrazyMan:The same reason why you know there was a man called Tafawa Balewa or Nnamdi Azikwe or even Lord Lugard, even though they reigned before you were born. Still clownish? |
I'm not talking about positioning of addresses. I'm talking about blunders in the bolded parts, even as the whole thing looks very unprofessional and like a letter written by a primary six pupil in English Language lesson. |
It is very glaring that corporate Nigeria has very few women of northern origin. But have we noticed that judiciary and journalism appear to have more northern women. The first female justice of the Supreme Court is a northerner. We also have them in Courts of Appeal and Federal High court. Justices Binta Nyako, Fati Abubakar, Zainab Bulkachuwa, Aisha Dahiru etc. In journalism too, Kadaria Ahmed, formerly of BBC and now editor of NEXT is from Zamfara state, not to mention the fact that most of NTA veterans, Hauwa Baba Ahmed, Aisha Bello etc are Hausa/Fulani women. Now back to corporate Nigeria, let me mention a few: 1, Amina Oyagbola( ED at MTN, from Kogi state but married a Yoruba man) 2, Maimuna Aliyu (ED at Aso Savings & loans Plc, formerly Head, Northern operations, FCMB) 3, Bilkisu Rimi (Company Secretary, Aso S&L Plc, University of Buckingham-trained lawyer) There are others that are DGMs and GMs in some of these banks. |
FG O1:Bros, this one na from frying pan to fire o This is disastrous |

Barka Jum'ah to all. Don't forget the Jum'ah ettiquettes. -Friday ghusl -Neat dress, perfume(for men) -Going for Jum'ah early -Listening, and avoiding as much as possible, talking while uthbah is on etc |

GboyegaD:Very correct. How did you know? |
AjanleKoko:It's not a bias, but a known truth. Just like 4 out of every 5 top personalities from the north finished from ABU, where in the case of the South, OAU, Lag, UNN and UI share it. It's obvious that Barewa alone was to the North what King's College, Christ School Ado, GCI, GC Umuahia and few others are to teh South. To go to standard, reputable school in the South then, you had options in at least 10 schools, but in teh north, Barewa appeared to be the only standard, reputable high school at teh period. But let's still give it to the school, to produce 5 presidents is no joke. |
agabaI23:yeah, 5 of Nigeria's past presidents/heads of state finished from that school: Balewa, Murtala, Shagari, Buhari and Yar'Adua,. Ahmadu Bello too finished from the school, not to mention the ex-IG Coomasie, Chief Justices Muhammed Bello, Idris Kutigi, etc that finished there. Jubril Aminu, Nuhu Ribadu, El-Rufai etc are also their exes. |
so wetin happen to these 2 guys since 2007? ![]() |
Aisha2, So which one did you eventually choose? It's three years now |
Mods do not have the right to send topic to front page, only Admin and Super Mods do. Mods can only recommend, but the Seun I know will not just send any topic to the front page to satisfy the person's personal agenda. So Kosovo doesn't ahve power to send topic to front page, neither does Seun himself appears pro-IBB. The reason for the proliferation of IBB topics is simple: IBB is the hottest discussion in town now. Go to any other Naijac forum or news service, teh story is the same. |
