5 years ago on a flight to Australia across the Indian ocean we were slammed by turbulence! Brothers and sisters! Imagine being hot by a 10 ton truck and you're on foot! Well.... through clenched and chattering teeth prayers arose from EVERY LIP! Boy! It was a Joint Task Force of all religious and non religious humans! Suddenly the lights in the passenger cabin went off! And as suddenly as it went off it came on again! I opened my eyes and there was a handsome businessman at the door of the plane! Was he trying to open it and jump? I didn't ask...we all were gripped with morbid fear.... slowly the turbulence eased off and everything was ok... but of course, no one slept again for the rest of the trip (about 2 hours). The pilot explained that we had hit a great mass of cold air...
Anyway... everyone tried to relax by chatting with everyone else... until we landed...
