If the work permit and passport was an issue, it should have be requested before renting the shop to them, rather than locking their goods after they have paid rent.

Further, that video is from a Ghanaian news site and it reflecets the extent to which Ghanaians live peacefully in Nigeria free of harassment to the extent that they are trading even on the street in the far eastern city of Port Harcourt.

But I think if the shop owners obey simple rules in their host country these thread would not have been necessary.

The Chinese, Indians and Turks in Ghana are not doing retail business. They are doing manufacturing which is allowed by the Ghanaian government. In fact, they even prefer foreigners to come to Ghana, take their raw materials and start manufacturing.

Retail business is for Ghanaians only. That is the law. It has nothing to do with ECOWAS and the GIPC law is very explicit about this. Other ECOWAS country nationals are not exempted.

If Nigeria is unhappy about it, then Muhammadu Buhari needs to call Akufo-Addo for a summit, where these things can be negotiated with concessions made on both sides. That is what we saw with the US-China trade war. They eventually came together and talked about it.

I hate it when Nigerians go abroad and contravene the laws in other countries.

Candid advice.
But..... like you mentioned, women are very unpredictable and what you're seeing now as "they will get along" will change under the slightest condition that doesn't appeal to his sister.
You see, having encountered women over the years, those who's husband's are unavailable have a slight "unfriendly" attitude towards those who's husband's are available. Meaning, this can be a trigger to his sister getting annoyed easily over anything.

Here are two words which we use especially in nigeria and most times we mix them up in their usage.
1) Offload
2) Unload.
You will hear someone say: I Offload the shipment of goods.
In correct English it's incorrect. Rather you use UNLOAD when it comes to goods and things.
Eg. Unload that vehicle
The boxes were unloaded.
To OFFLOAD is to get rid of something, or people.
For instance, a coach may offload a player who's not performing.
You can offload a car by selling it out maybe because it's no longer fit for use.

I don't want the teacher to "intimidate" my kids so I flaunt cash at PTA or outright fight any that crosses my path.
I'm a youth, I can't wait to succeed cos it takes too long so I indulge in vices to show how "tough, smart, cool" I am, but when asked to serve my nation I call my parents to find a cosy easy place.
My parents have to carry my application and meet people to get job for me...
We can go on.... with an attitude like this no nation will develop.

I never turned bad but I can partially relate, I was in science class back in secondary but I lost passion for science and wanted to switch to arts, my counselor never allowed me, she said I wanted to ruin my life and I should work harder blablabla, got me sad and down that I lost interest in school, other things contributed to me losing interest e.g I got bullied a lot, started skipping school, wrote waec and passed, woulda graduated already but I've never really understood calculations, and botanical names, in essence, I'm a sucker for science, still struggling in school now, applied for transfer to another department already, I might drop out if its unapproved... All these woulda been avoided if I was allowed to switch..


Please ma, talk to her like a friend and a sister, motivate her to finish up with her studies and promise to let her study music in the university, you can also enroll her for music/ dance classes before then, let her go for what she has passion for, it's not too late ma.
