OP, I'm happy that at this age you're assessing yourself and weighing your options for the future. It's really good.
Now here's my suggestion: carefully look for a mentor, someone who can guide you in almost all ramifications... make sure he's not a person who is more interested in using you like a servant but one who respects your instincts and prospects. Let him motivate you for a short while... during that period, try to find your passion, then follow it.
It might not be smooth as i put it...but eventually it will be worth it.

Mehn when I looked back at wht I've done as a child n look at d circumstances surrounding me today, I say to myself it's a pay back time.

I'm ds guy with innocent luk, but within me is an abode of d demon.

Shd I talk abt hw I'll shit in a nylon n throw it across to our neighbor's comp, r hw me n my geng will set people's farm ablaze, r hw we'll leave school during teaching period and went to people's farm to pluck oranges, pineapples, cashew even kolanut, I can't tell it all, I did sht as a child.

The one I can still vividly remember was wen I brought my partners in crime to our house. There used to be ds lime tree in front of our house owned by my landlord (ds man a retired teacher then, get craze for head).
We plucked a bucket-full of the lime, dug hole n play snookers with it. Dat was how d man (landlord) caught me d my guys in act, we hd to run n leave evrythin behind. We set out for anoda place, play until d evening, everyone went dere own separate places.
Knowing wht lies ahead of me at home, I hd to sneaked in. Few minutes later food was set, as a family we eat in group.
To cut to the chase, that was how ds man just showed up from no where, alas! I want to run but no other way outta the room.
He held my hand and drag me out of my parents gently. It's obvious my dad wasn't surprised he knows wht I'm capable of.

Here's the funny part:

As d man was dragging me I hd to hold unto a metal which was nailed to the door. He pulled me but he couldn't since he's old. My dad nw told me in my language (Idoma) "byo kankan" meaning hold it very tight, and at d same time told the man in Yoruba "Baba efa daadaa" meaning Baba pull him very well.

He kept repeating d same thing to me n d man vice versa.
As an elderly man he pulled me with all his energy until he wears out.

Then of course he thought of another way by biting my hand off the grip, that was how he finally got me. Out of the trouble I hv let him pass through, he beat the shit outta me. lol.

My childhood was fun and I wished I never grew up, there is no crazy or bad play that I did not indulge in..

We had local fowls back then, which they can just stop to lay an egg anywhere, one day Me and my cousin came across one trying to lay, so we were curious to know how it will do it, while watching it the fowl started grunting to push it out, my cousin noticed and shouted kai, the fowl stop, after few minutes the fowl tried again we still shouted and it stopped, we continued like that for like an hour till the fowl could not bare it and just decided to lay it at all cost, when it was grunting and we were shouting it didn’t stop until we noticed d egg was coming out, my cousin bent to pick a stone, on noticing the fowl decided to run at us, Na so e pursue my cousin the guy run enter road machine hit d guy, till today he can’t walk well, he is called fowl leg till today

I schooled in kaduna. I found a jacket that had those large collars. Suddenly an idea occurred to me. Dracula! Behind the hostel was a mound of abandoned concrete that looked like a grave. At night i put on the jacket, pulled the collars up and went and sat on the mound which was like 50 metres from the hostel.
Soon I attracted attention... someone pointed a Torchlight at me and shouted HEY!...To make it more dramatic I swayed from side to side slowly! And immediately someone shouted NA GHOST O! No one could come closer but from the distance started screaming and throwing stones...I was in danger...so...I got up slowly like a fiend! And turned towards the huge crowd that had gathered!
My people! Everyone took off in all directions! Me? I also took off into the corn farm....did a detour and took off the jacket and returned to the hostel to see crowd still wondering what they had seen! I mingled innocently with them but laughed heartily!
It was 20 years later I told the truth to my close friend! We still laugh over the incidence today!

The news of his slipping into coma came just before we went to bed.
I'd spent the night thinking about him, wondering if he'll pull through, but alas! By morning I got the call and my heart sank! He'd passed into eternity!
I met him first on the night before my wedding 18 years ago and he's always had a listening ear and his wife was there at the birth of my children till each was weaned and still today has never left our side!
Saturday morning I arrived at the village at Asuafu, near Nsuta for the funeral, and as soon as I got off the vehicle, and walked into the house and saw his wife, my heart broke! She was shaking and weeping...in my heart I said oh lordy, why should Nana be hurt? My sadness increased....
I walked to see where he was laid in state...that's when a sob hit me from the sole of my feet...I let the floodgates loose! I was racked with sobs.. I couldn't control myself!!
Last time I wept like this was 3 months after my dad passed away that was 20 years ago...
Funny enough his children were just going about like nothing happened!
Of course they were sad but knowing their respective duties they had to look strong...
Then I asked myself WHY I was crying so much... well....the man loved my family as though I was his own son!
He truly was a father of many of us!

JUST ANOTHER COMMON SENSE LECTURE

Give N50,000 only to a secondary school dropout and watch him buy stove, a frying pan, cooking oil and other things to start indomie joint business. In just three years, the young man will have a wife and a plot of land worth N1million, a tokunbo car, a TV, sofa, bed etc in
his one bedroom house.

Give one million to most university graduates and watch them buy Samsung Galaxy phones, several pairs of skinny jeans, take their numerous girlfriends out, take selfies and post
them on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
In less than two years, they will still be buying indomie on debt from the secondary dropout guy and paying rent or staying in their parent's house.

The question is: DOES EDUCATION BREEDS WASTE, ARROGANCE, GUILIBILITY AND STUPIDITY?

Education does not mean gullibility but it makes you look down on possibilities as low status. Unemployment is actually higher amongst the educated not within the uneducated. The uneducated are more innovative and ready to do what the educated will refer to as "dirty menial jobs" and before you know, that uneducated guy will be needing an accountant to look into his books and will now employ the educated guy.
