It is well with Nigeria.
People are gradually loosing their conscience, they no longer can tell the difference between good and bad. They just choose whichever of the two and edit it to fit into their conscience and then live on.

Now that is the height of corruption; the irreversible phase of decay. That is Nigeria. The real cause for concern; The ever present threat to the collective existence, lives, property in the geographical entity called Nigeria. Not the bad governance, the stolen billions, book harms, or even Islamic extremism. Actually, IRREVERSIBLE LOSS OF CONSCIENCE.

It is quite unfortunate that things have to degenerate to this level.

Again the Shiite, the Islamic Movement in Nigeria are not harmless as we all think. It is a religious and political organization with the aim of having an islamic republic like in Iran. The followers are always harmed with AK 47 as the move along with the procession to Husainiyya Baqiyatullah, Zaria obstructting traffic on Highways.

There are intelligence report connecting this group's to Boko Haram and other violent Islamic groups in Africa and the middle east... I.e Hezbollah,

Sooner or later this was going to happen. The Nigeria army has been keeping a watchful eye on this group.

The bolded, I can testify; it's very true. But the italicized I can't say. I know El Zak-zaky has been overtly vocal against boko haram and it's jihad in northern Nigeria.

O boy! This people really really dealt with us! Chai!

One thing I am having a great difficulty in understanding is what goes on in the minds of these looters.

What makes them think they won't be found out one day?

Does it mean nothing in their sick mind ever tells to stop at some point?

Why can't they just invest the money they have already stolen into something profitable and stay away from further looting or does it mean looting is very addictive?

Do they ever consider how their public image will be like if eventually their crime is ever found out?

Do they ever think about the numerous lives they are rendering worthless by their despicable acts of looting?

Man, it all boils down to one thing.

Honestly, I think looters are really really very dumb.

They actually believed pdp will continue to rule as long as they have access to the treasury. In that way their security is guaranteed.

PMB is right on track. God bless & protect him.

I wonder.

How can Nigeria progress without finding, exposing and blocking the areas of systemic financial leakage in government and the larger economy.

Judging from what many are saying, which suggest how they are thinking, most Nigerians don't appreciate the decay in Nigeria and as such do not see any need for change. Unfortunately because of their shallow mindedness they are enjoying a false comfort in the misery called Nigeria.

Lagos with just 2180 is surprising.
Imo with over 5000 FG civil servants is eye opening.

Generally, more FG civil servants in the South than in the North (averagely speaking). Yet we all brag that those Nortgerners only rely on FG.

If fewer of them work with the government, does it not tell us majority fend for themselves? If anything, it's their politicians and leaders who enjoy the largesse while the commoners bear the brunt of poor leadership, same as majority of Nigerians.

come on the majority of Lagosians are actually indigenes of other states and claim their respective states on their employment status.

Comparatively, the number is even very high for their meager population.

Obama inherited an economy in recession and with multiple wars... He set out with policies like bail out for big corporations.... One indicator that the government is bereft of ideas is the zero based budgeting they are proposing, for next year.

In a country where we live in mutual suspicion, that zero thing is a recipe for cataclysmic political upheaval... Allocations and earmarks allows us all to know if we are being fairly treated not not.... They have not worked out anything hence the resort to zero budgeting that just grant them access to lump sum without specifics that they will decide, going forward.

The best way to attract respect and investment is by rolling up your sleeves and leading not by running after foreigners... Obj did that, Goodluck did that before he returned to implement the policies in the auto industry, oil, energy and the rest... When he meets with outsider what exactly does he discuss with them in any sector... What does he tell them he is doing in documented form?

APC is not ready for governance.

mr comparison; please tell us how was america's economy when mr obama took office and how many days it took him to revers the the recession.

you must be the most mischievous element to compare a sound economy in recession to a systemically dead economy enmeshed in corruption and waste.

if you think you understand the nigerian economy, please define it in one sentence.

Politics / Re: Kogi: Court Gives INEC Permission To Continue Election by jaybee(f): 3:02pm On Dec 04, 2015

I said it that neither INEC nor APC erred.

1. Election was not won or lost based on the Electoral Act as there were more registered voters than the margin with which APC/Audu was leading. And since the Act recognized only registered voters and not PVC collected, the election became inconclusive.

2. Faleke did not participate in APC's primaries whereas the Electoral Act clearly stated that for any candidate to be elegible for election into office, he/she must have participated fully in his/her party's primaries. So, how will APC have used Faleke who didn't meet this criteria? Doing so would have handed the governorship to Wada through the courts later.

The case of Boni Haruna and that of Amaechi or any other similar ones are clearly different from this Kogi's case. In Kogi, no winner has emerged and it's the reason Faleke is unfortunate here.

In my opinion, you are miles off-point and very wrong in your assertions.

This is not primary elections which is a party affair. It is a state election conducted by INEC. Bello did not partake in it. The court said clearly that this is post election matter, meaning the election is done. it is not a re-run or even fresh election where the parties can substitute candidates. This is a supplementary election for those (Falake & others) that partook in it; not for new comers like Bello. Except Falake decides to bring Bello in.

I will challenge the highlighted again and again.

-Know that the whole election process is in phases.

-The phase of primaries ended with the nomination of Audu/Faleke as flag bearers.

-The election proper belongs to Audu and Faleke. With the demise of Audu, which is a force majeure, Faleke automatically becomes the main flag bearer. To complete the APC election team, Bello should be seconded to be Faleke's running mate.

-Faleke as main flagbearer and Bello as deputy/running mate is more appropriate and legal.

- I urge Faleke not to be part of the supplementary election if he is not made the main flagbearer. I hate used and dumped politics.

According to the court, the election is concluded and Falake is the only flagbearer of APC left with the in the election after the demise of Audu. And without Falake as the main flagbearer, APC has no case to continue in the supplementary elections.

sorry sir, we are not supposed to look for "the best thing to do"; but the legal and right thing.

The court (or judge) says these are post election matters, meaning the election is concluded. only the tribunals can adjudicate on the matter.

going by this judgement, Falake is the governor elect.
