the spontaneous responses to this thread shows why it is difficult to get to the root of most matters in Nigeria. non seems logical and conclusive.

why cant we nigerians be logical for once?

this guy made a useful statement. it can be a vey good starting point to unravel something about BH, thier existence, motives, and modus operandi. this statement does noet lead to any sensibl;e conclusions. the followup questions should. these are the clues and opportunities that our so-called intelligence agencies do miss, all the times, leading to the consistent unedning quagmirish investigations.

with all these utterances bombardments at yuguda, he will be threatened to withdraw into his shell and what else? no more info, and we continue beating about the bush, as usual.

@OP, one9jeria:

I will be doing my NYSC by Nov. So want u guys to advise me on how do the business of agric product from northern states to other states like lagos. What will it take me to start it and which state will b good for me to serve and actualise this dream. Any other challenges

I think this post is premature and propbably unneccessary.

Firstly, you have not been mobilized. hopefully, you'll be mobilized.

Secondly, you dont know the state you'll be serving.

thirdly, you dont know the location of your place of primary assignment.

Fourthly, you dont know the nature of your primary assignment.

fifthly, you are going for a national service and not business, please.

i will advise that you set your priorities right. there is always time for everything. a time to serve; and a time to do business.

assuming you are sent to teach in secondary school in a remote location where transportation is an issue, how do you engage in agro products business?

You are asking of a good state to serve and actualise your dreams; except in special cases, NYSC does not permit choice of state to serve. so you may not have the liberty to choose.

go and do your service to the best of your ability and in the process you will see the opportunities available to sieze. dont rush. there are abundant opportunities everywhere in Nigeria.

@OP : I've been following this rhetoric since yesterday but unfortunately, from the press statemets, i can't see any starategy. what i can phatom out is just a wishful thinking by the govt people. what i see is a politiceconomedia masturbation.

from my analysis of the original post and the immediate few replies, i have these to say. i may be corrected, though.

@engineerd : there is niether "concrete plans" nor "intentions"

@efisher : No "great plans" or "policies"

@gtnapes : no "good intentions"

@amaham : no "inch perfect initiatives"

@PointB : No "laudable ideas"

chiozor:
is it only that has not seen strategies for the implementation huh all these monies, how would my grandmother who need funds for her farming get access it to it! lipsrsealed
Chiozor has a more practical look at the socio-politici-econono-media masturbation.

So far, this is just a wishful thinking NO PLAN OR STRATEGY TO GET TO THE DESTINATION.

Except they have it documented somewhere, and may release it for public consumption and action by those who will like to key in to the programs. i mean stakeholders.

al-mustafa will continue to mention the dead.

howewer, if he must not mention the dead, then every one (including the biased, skewed, ethnic, money chasing and confused press) must keep mute on late Abiola, Abacha, Kudirat, Ige, Pa Adesanya, etc. etc. all the actors that are dead. attention, concentration and action should be on IBB, Abdulsalam, OBJ, Al-mustafa, Diya, etc that are alive today.

this should have nothing to do with tribe, region or religion; but there have to be a well defined reason for the investigation (or discussion) and a deliverable for it.

I bought my car from IAAI online, and shipped it to Lagos by roro, recently and i'm enjoying the car.

the price at auction os ok, but the clearing is something else.

the port operators, custom officials and clearing agents operate an opaque system that tend to make the clearing extremely exorbitant so as to erase any advantage you gained by importing the car directly.

i dont know how IAAI would crash the prices until they unveil thier business model for nigeria.

goodluck to nigeria and her insatiable tokumbo apetite.
PoliticsRe: Gej Wants You To Jump For Joy because We Are Now 2nd Highest Opec Exporter Of Oil by jaybee(f): 11:37am On Jul 29, 2011
what's the fuss about being 2nd highest opec exporter? this is utterly shameful. for gej to be excited shows he is not serious.

for God's sake nigeria is no. 2 exporter; and not no. 2 producer. other countries produce crude, refine the crude and export the surplus crude and refined products. nigeria produces crude, exports all the crude and import all the products she uses. that's what brought about the high ranking. it is a ranking of failure not achievement please.

i am most disappointed in gej and his blind facebook followers.

for your information, nigeria's oil reserves are depleting without any replacement. with no concrete policies in place, investment in nigeria's oil and gas industry is at its lowest ebb now. no new discoveries, no new facilities and no new refineries.
gej and his myopic followers should look for other reasons to jump.

i see the beautiful pictures of underaged voters in the north.

But pls analyze this for yourself.

1. at least the underaged presented themselves and were allowed to vote who they wanted, without intimidation, from all indication, PDP.  that is one of the evidences CPC will likely present as evidence in court to show how PDP got the 25% of votes they are claiming.

2. even a goat in the north is intelligent enough to vote. that shows you how politically matured the north is. what about SS/SE their goats are on two legs, but they can't vote who they like because of intimidation and morbid fear.

3. what about the SS/SE ? can you post the pictures of the ghost voters that made up the numbers? they simply cook up numbers and sent for collation. peradventure they thump printed massively as the woman in port harcourt,

PoliticsRe: Buhari Broke Into Tears by jaybee(f): 5:39pm On Apr 13, 2011
He has seen a gloomy picture these hoodlums is building for generations yet unborn, hence the genuine tears of a real man.

Awolowo wept for nigeria in his time, decades later Abiola wept, decades later Buhari wept again despite been a fufilled man in is own rights.

Now it is clear another set of generation is on the wasted generations list.
If Buhari cries, then it is because of the above quotation.

He would cry because nigerians have a chance to liberate themselves from the vultures who have held them captive for so long, but the chance is being blown away by a maze of trivialities in which there simply is no one-cap-fits-all solution. these monstrous trivialities Range from ethnicity, religion, fear, poverty, docility, ignorance, greed, medicrity, confusion, rigging, etc, etc, they are deliberate factors firmly put in place by the beneficiaries of the system, and which he wants to dismantle and set the people free for a prosperous Nigeria.

The General is not fighting flesh and blood; but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. these are the powers that have entrenched the ethnicity, religion, fear, docility, ignorance, greed, medicrity, confusion, rigging, etc, etc that makes the fight very difficult for the general and many others that truly love Nigeria and her people, no matter how unworthy they may be.

someone once said Nigeria is not worth dying for; but at least it may be worth a cry.
I also weep for this generation.

andromida:
The results in kaduna state you are seeing is for kaduna north. Kaduna is split into North and south and is predomonantly xtian PDP won in those areas. I do not know why those results are not placed side by side so come saturday its going to be a 50-50 btwn kaduna north and the kaduna south. that is why the sharia war was so fierce in kaduna.its a 50% muslim and 50% xtian state. and both sides will be voting along religious lines.
It is true that Kaduna is split 50/50 along religious lines. it is also true that the voting pattern will also reflect along this line, to a greater extent. However, this is not the only determining factor. there are other factors at play. The candidate for CPC, even thogh a muslim, is from the southern part of the state, as well as his running mate.

in Kaduna state, the outcome of the presidential and gubernotorial elections will be governed, to a large extent, by the level of intimidation at the vaious polling units.

where xtians are predominant their zealots will intimidate every other xtian to vote for GEJ and Yakowa. conversely, where muslims are predominant thier  zealots will not allow voters to vote GEJ or Yakowa.

where there are no serious zealots, the elections will be free and fair. some muslims will vote GEJ / Yakowa, while some xtians will vote Buhari and other non xtians. but like i said earlier, this may be to a lesser extent, and that mey be the ultimate deciding factor.
PoliticsRe: About The Presidential Election On Saturday. by jaybee(f): 11:30am On Apr 13, 2011
The PDP rigging machine is still intact. There is no way we could have voted for these bandits the way they treated Nigeria and Nigerians these last 12 years. Nigerians can't be that maschistic!
That is very true; and we have seen it at play in the most rigg-prone states, Bayelsa, Rivers, Benue, Kwara, etc. these are the most bakward states in terms of election process.

I mean it. No sentiments at all.

people like me would prefer PDP to win in a free contest; whether by monetary inducement or fake promises, religious, ethnic, party, sectional or other affiliations or sympathy . not by force of coercion, intimidation, ballot box snatching/stuffing, which are the hall mark of PDP.

Buhari has given us a recipe. Vote, protect, Count, and escort your votes to the collation centres.

However, and sadly too, there  is a limit to how far one can excercise and enforce her/his right.  there is a limit. not at the expense of one's life.

you must be alive to see and probaly enjoy the gains of democracy.

that is the circumstance that PDP, and other parties, exploit to perpetrate their rigging.

THAT IS THE PROBLEM WITH THIS ELECTION. Intimidation, maiming and killing, just to ensure GEJ emerges winner.
PoliticsRe: Vice-president Namadi Sambo’s Constituency Goes To Cpc by jaybee(f): 10:13am On Apr 13, 2011
For other zones, i can't say. but for the north, SAI BUHARI syndrome is true and live and will manifest abundantly come Saturday.

The NASS election is not a reflection of Buhari's acceptance. it only shows that the electorate can not see a clear distinction between the various contestants in the respective parties, in terms of their quality. most of the contestants decamped from other parties after loosing the primaries. Hence it really does not matter who gets there.

But for the presidency, the difference between Buhuari and GEJ is like Day and Night. and that is what the people are going for. Its a rare opportunity Nigerians can not afford to miss.

Supporters of GEJ should face reality and spare themselves the disappointment/frustration that will befel them come saturday. The SAI BUHARI Fire is even hotter now.

@op

How simplistic and cheap can one be? Truly a drowning man would cling to any thing. Just anything.

Do you want readers to take you serious? No.

This election is far beyond Jonathan. He can not manipulate. Jonathan can not remote control Jega; and he knows. That is not to say has not tried. He must have tried and failed.

When the people have resolved, loudly and openly, to cast and protect their votes; with the level of awareness, a thousand do or die OBJs and corrupt Iwus can not toy around with this elections, and Cowardly Jonathan must have been told. Hence the cheap point you are trying to score here. I pity the simpletons that would fall into your deception.

Meanwhile its not yet uhuru.

The election riggers, in the mold of Mark, are at it again. Causing confusion at collation centres and rigging massively. Rigging has now shifted from the polling units where people are protecting their votes to collation centers where the returning officers have a bit of space to manipulate.

A few days ago you GEJ apologists said Jega was planted by US & CPC. Today he is GEJ trusted appointee; what a summersault!

Sun of god:
You must think you are Pontius Pilot - You cant crucify me my friend.

Anyway,

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-africa-13013082

More than 100 bodies have been found in Ivory Coast, the United Nations has said, amid the continuing conflict between rivals for the presidency.

The UN said the bodies had been found in the west of the country, in apparent ethnic killings.

Internationally recognised President Alassane Ouattara has been battling incumbent Laurent Gbagbo, who is now blockaded in a bunker in Abidjan.

Meanwhile, the EU says it may ease sanctions after a plea by Mr Ouattara.

The UN has certified Mr Ouattara as the winner of November's run-off vote for president but Mr Gbagbo has refused to cede power.

Mr Ouattara's forces have swept down from the north over the past two weeks but much of the main city of Abidjan is dominated by Gbagbo supporters and days of fighting has plunged it into crisis.

'Liberian mercenaries'

Rupert Colville, spokesman for the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, said its team had found more than 100 bodies in the past 24 hours across three locations.

"All the incidents appear to be ethnically motivated," he said.

Mr Ouattara tells Ivorians Mr Gbagbo's refusal to step down had caused a great crisis
Mr Colville said that 40 bodies had been found in Blolequin, west of the town of Duekoue, adding that the "perpetrators appear to be Liberian mercenaries".

He said: "The team also went to a nearby town of Guiglo, where they saw more than 60 bodies."

He said some victims had been burned alive and others had been thrown down a well.

The announcement follows reports of separate mass killings last week in Duekoue, following its capture by pro-Ouattara forces.

Each side blamed the other for those killings, which the International Committee of the Red Cross says claimed at least 800 lives.

Mr Colville said of the latest killings that "one has to be a little bit cautious of assigning responsibilities".

On Friday, UN relief agencies called for humanitarian corridors which will allow safe passage for thousands of people fleeing the fighting.

Meanwhile, the European Union says it hopes to begin easing some of its sanctions on the Ivory Coast soon, following a request from Mr Ouattara.

A spokesman for EU foreign policy chief Baroness Ashton told the BBC: "We've received a request from President Ouattara to remove certain entities from the sanctions list. We are working on this in close consultation with President Ouattara and hope to be able to begin easing the sanctions soon."

There are EU sanctions across many sectors, including on two key ports, banks and on cocoa exports, as well as individual sanctions on Mr Gbagbo and dozens of his supporters.

1. The failure of PDP to give a purposeful leadership; tolerance to corruption, thereby leading the country into abbyssimal retrogression and decay.

2. The failure of youths in the country to assert themselves and mobilize for generational change. Most of the so called youth are just following the PDP model of conering the nations resources.

3. http://www.nigerdeltacongress.com/barticles/buharism_as_fascism.htm

4. The passion of Buhari to stamp out corruption, Nigeria's greates stumbling block to national development.
