super story |
snthesis: i guess u havnt pictured a scenario whr the girl sees the potential in you, and believes with time you wud get your feet so shes wiling to support you for nowWhat happens if the potential never materialise? How do you plan to prepare for days where she had get tired of being the sole provider in the household? BTW: The role of a man in relationships is clearly defined. Women are meant to be the helper not the leader. |
snthesis: what if the Babe has money- wudnt a job be second fiddle? she can always set up a bizness for me laterI'm sure you'd agree with me that starting a family without a concrete plan shouldn't be an option on the table. |
AmBeautiful: i am totally in support of empowerment 100%Yes you are right but the OP's grievance is probably more to do with the value of the investment rather than the attitude. He has always been comfortable with doling out money with little or no questions asked so why is this any different if he can afford it. Let him speak to her on his concerns and his preference if she isn't overly comfortable with having to do a business plan because her hubby/bf wants to empower her. |
MBJ has said it all |
AmBeautiful: Its not about the size of the investmentWhat else could she be possibly doing at a shop if none other than buying and selling. Men should learn to empower serious g/f's, wives so the issue of bring bring bring wouldn't always be the other of the day. Yes it's advisable for the girl to come up with a plan but sometimes over analysing risks usually stops us from taking that step. |
Girl says this guy says that bla bla bla bla It's obvious the guy is only worried because of the size of the investment. Common sense tells me that the guy should do empower her with a trial run with a smaller investment and see how she performs. |
ifihearam: "You didn’t elect me to tell you what you wanted to hear. You electedme to tell you the truth. And the truth is, it will take more than a few years for us to solve challenges that have built up over decades. It will require common effort, shared responsibility, and the kind of bold, persistent experimentation that Franklin Roosevelt pursued during the only crisis worse than this one."Obama now being compared to GEJ |
You married someone that's not compatible with you and decided to forcefully change them so as to suit your own desire. Young man in the real world, people getting married are supposed to accommodate each other's differences/abilities once they decide to come together to become one. You have no business forcing your desire on someone who might not necessarily be comfortable with your drive and ambitions. Having said that though, I'm quite alarmed that you are wrongly viewing your responsibility as a man to your wife as favours cos if not you wouldn't be expecting the common thanks at the end of each single thing you do. Have you forgotten or probably don't understand the triple effect that helping your wife would have on you on the long run. So you know, you are also helping yourself by empowering your wife. Going forward, I think you ought to start involving your wife in decision making process, Start having an inclusive relationship and above all value her opinion. Yes we all have desires and sometimes narrow minded with our wants. The greatest mistake people make in life is to try to change the other partner in any relationship. |
shymexx: I'm not on anyone's side, they're controlled by the same people... Obama is going to attack Iran as well - and his policy towards South China Sea would lead to a confrontation between China vs Japan/Vietnam with US in the mix in the next couple of years... It's just two sides to the same coin - and it's difficult to support any of the two... So, I would just stay neutral and watch things unfold..If both candidates are of the same evil and you are to choose the lesser of the two evils who would you choose? Change should be a constant but sometimes continuity is way better than the unknown Remember the rhetoric that the libcons brought along during the UK election, people clamoring for change and all, now where has he left us? better or worse off |
shymexx: Nah, Obama made a couple of better speeches in 2008... MLK's "I have a dream speech' is far better than this one... Ronald Reegan made better speeches, John F. Kennedy, Abraham Lincoln, Lyndon B. Johnson, Malcolm X etc.. Americans make great and eloquent speeches...What side are you on really? Did you listen to Romney's speech? If yes, did you hear is foreign policies on russia/iran/israel |
Oratory at its best Well done fit momma in chief |
It's really a jungle out there. Everyone trying to outsmart the other. Us men trying to get into the pants without dropping sheeshy and the girls getting comfortable with the glorified prostitution game. Something must give though ![]() |
