AjanleKoko: Okay oh. undecided
May be this will persuade you

I have a friend that works for TFL as a design engineer probably earns around 40K per annum. He gets to travel free on the underground with his wife. He lives around zone 6 and works in Zone 1 meaning they are saving close to 6K per-annum just on transportation alone.

Someone with same level of experience working for an airline will probably earn roughly the same amount with free flights to destination of his choice once or twice a year. Now realistically how many times do people go for holiday every year and even if they do utilize the free flight, won't they still be dipping into the comparable salary making them worse off?

I guess the same logic when applied to those on lower salaries makes it even more worthwhile for people choosing to work for underground/national instead of the airlines.

AjanleKoko: Yeah, pay may not be attractive enough, but Nigerians work on the Underground or National Rail. Are those guys paid better than airline cabin crew?
You make it sound like Nigerians all over the world are working only big money jobs. There has to be another reason.
Those working on the underground/national rail definitely earn more when the compensation given as a result of living in London (London weighting) plus other perks (free rail/travel card which is far more useful than free fight tickets) that they enjoy gets taken into account.
TravelRe: Few Nigerians Work As Cabin-Crew On International Airlines? by jaybee3(m): 8:04pm On Oct 04, 2012
Pay is just not attractive enough
Most flight attendants do the job because of the interest they have in discovering new places and we Nigerians just aren't cut out to value enjoyment/satisfaction over the ability to acquire all the good things life has to offer

DailyNews: Because 99% if not more of today Nigerian women are child molestors themselves, so they cannot profer solution to what they do. Men ought to have been there to challenge them & give them a focus.

Believe me, our women are victims of this. don't u ever ponder on y they treat these innocent children they call maids & house helps with so much hate huh They carry them in the back seats of their cars when d front seat is free just to tell d whole world that this one is a maid.

Plz when next u want to bring them into a discussion, make sure is all abt how Tom Cruise wont Marry Genevieve Nnaji or y Emeka is dating Tonto Dike, etc, thats d only thing they have honest interest in ok huh
Dude, it's a debate whereby either party is going to argue For or Against any given motion so you don't necessarily need a man to give a different opinion so as to validate the whole process.
As long as the poplar belief of no 2 persons are the same, we living in a diverse world then surely we are meant to just sit back and let them do there thing.

CrazyMan: Seems like a very selective debate to me...

But good luck to it anyway.
Topic of Debate:

***Under Construction*** Child Soldiers, Slavery, Child Trafficking and Domestic Child Help Abuse

Your analytical prowess should have enable you deduce the main reason for the gender specific selection criterion.
Looks like the topic being lined for discussion has more to do with the women than the men therefore it's only natural for it to be gender specific

Shollypopz: Dude check my resume, lol

I've been a judge on here before and I did a very good job.(Mr. Nairaland competition as at July 2012)

Wasn't it the competition that was marred with massive vote rigging where users had multiple handles to prop up preferred or in some cases own candidates?
I do acknowledge though that judging any debate or competition is without it's own challenges but this is going to be one on one sort of competiton where-by the judge's decision may have to be magnified should in case any participant asks for feedback or in most cases disagree on why the other candidate was perceived to be better than them

Shollypopz: I analysed the candidates well and made the competition tougher and fair. I tried minimizing cheating by quoting multiple handles on the viewing tab(Though it did not work).
And for those that were pissed off that their handles were not nominated, I appeased them by praising their looks and reaching a common ground with them. Thereby making sure they voted for my candidate.
OH! I'm a darn good campaign manager too
This is going to be a slightly different format whereby each individual judge's judgement will be solely based on published/agreed criterion and scores aggregated to arrive at the magic number to decide who proceeds to subsequent rounds.

Shollypopz: I'm not biased at all and I believe in team work. If you asked my fellow judges on that thread, I worked peacefully with them (Ogugua88, Kandiikane, Ileke-IdI)
OK scratch all my rants. Just thought i'd play with you a lil. I admire you drive/will so yeah IMO you had be a good judge

Shollypopz: I'm exactly what u're looking for cheesy

Can I take your place?? wink cheesy
Do you mind stating the qualities you plan to bring on board?
I'm all for having a smooth running event where all participating members will be engaged as well as judged solely on there respective deliveries irrespective of prior affiliations we may or may not have with them
RomanceRe: Interested In Being A Judge? by jaybee3(m): 8:36am On Oct 04, 2012
Something tells me it's far better to invite members perceived to have mature demeanor, great in judging characters and above all oozes class rather than inviting them to openly declare intentions on a thread that will most certainly degenerate into another chitty chatty one just like most of 'em.
Foreign AffairsRe: Obama Vs Romney : US Presidential Debate On October 4 2012 by jaybee3(m): 5:04am On Oct 04, 2012
Kay-Dee:
That's why 60 million Americans tuned in to watch and Obama went to sleep at the crucial moment.

Romney was making statements like xx million people are out of job and the middle class is being crushed. Obama didn't counter with his jobs record, he did a little by pointing out tax cuts for working families but the American people wanted to hear more from him and he left a lot of people disappointed tonight.

It doesn't take much to sway the mind of fickle-minded voters.
IMO, Obama's lackadaisical performance tonight can only be attributed to the fact his opponent is able to magnify all the mistakes of his first tenure thereby almost putting him in a tight corner where all he could have done was be on the defensive.
Foreign AffairsRe: Obama Vs Romney : US Presidential Debate On October 4 2012 by jaybee3(m): 4:49am On Oct 04, 2012
Scientific poll taking from slightly more republicans hence the wide margin.
Romney did very well but it all boils down to differences in each candidate's proposals for the American people
