rokiatu: LOL if u are talking abt me, I spend so much yrs with my bf before finally getting married to him. So we know each other inside out and things are going smoothly, but I need more tips up my sleeves.
And others may also find this thread helpful. So more replies please. You don't need any tips if you already plan to get to know him enough before you go ahead and say "I do" Never worry about the unknown simply because you don't have control over it. Marriage is a worthy risk but you have to be sure you are ready for one. |

rokiatu: Yea I want to think that also but having seen so many people changed after their wedding is scaring the crap outta me.
I have seen so many loving couples become boring and downright depressed after they got married.
And the stories on NL doesn't help either. "My wife is this, "My marriage is boring" "I am thinking of breaking my marriage" "My husband beat me up" Etc etc can only leave one to believe that marriage is the death of romance. Do you have anything against spending extended time period with him before the wedding? If you are dating someone and they get upgraded to a fiancée then it's only natural/normal for you to spend quality time with them so as not to get the shock of your life. I can only think of people changing in the instance that you haven't shared his/her personal space with before and the other party ain't really accustomed to either one's short falls. It's somewhat difficult having to share one's personal space hence the reason why couples are advised to court before getting married |

Engage in exactly the same protocol as it was before the wedding.
If you married a boring person then don't expect them to be transformed after the wedding.
Wedding is just a ceremony that doesn't necessarily change either couple
Might be different for people waiting for the special night until they pop that cherry |

GenBuhari: I believe Al-Mustapha is innocent.
I do not believe Abacha ordered the killing of Kudirat Abiola
Where is the sense of Abacha killing Kudirat and then keeping Abiola alive in prison?
I suspect that Kudirat murder was ordered by the evil genius IBB to make things difficult for Abacha. Is this because Buhari said so? How old are you Mr? |

jennykadry: I honestly do not need it from you, when I posted on this thread you called my post unfair criticism and posted a list of things there and even told me to go back and read oam4j's post, making it look like I jumped into un necessary conclusion. Ify was the only one that apologized to people on this thread and agreed to the lack of communication.
So why are you apologizing now after ify? oh, your eyes opened and you finally saw the light. A beg keep your apologies make I see road Not a problem. At least Ify has now explained proceedings a little more clearly. It's all coolio Enjoy |

Yea, we will her about it in 1 week time. I do get it. We slacked a bit on the communication side due to reasons explained by IFY and we can only apologise for that. Please accept our apology. |

jennykadry: I asked a question? Have they RAISED ENOUGH FOR THE SURGERY" No we haven't and our fund raising efforts is still open until the stipulated date on our action plan jennykadry: Second off she was admitted into UBTH, when did she go to the hospital?yesterday? Did they rush her there or it was planned? If it was planned and not mentioned here then I have no business with you and your list. My post was to r231 and his other co workers. She Informed us she went via the elective admission route 2 days ago. Her visit to the hospital was on her own accord but the group is still exploring all options. Lastly, i'm part of the committee hence the reason why i'm answering your questions. |

jennykadry: Have you's raised enough for surgery?
I think a lot of you need some serious communication Lessons, people gave their widows mite because they care and want to keep abreast with every move, you people just sit down and amongst yourselves, decide on what to do and keep it to yourselves without filling us in every step of the way?
What a disorganized organization jennykadry: When were all of you going to tell us? After the surgery or treatment? Shame on all of you Unfair criticism but welcomed all the same Here are some of our past communications regarding the project You will have to look back at OAM4J's post to get published Action Plan and payment acknowledgements OAM4J: Thank you ladies and gentlemen for your kind contributions to this project.
