Babe as long as the obedience is a 2 way thing then we won't have to worry abt dictatorship.
At the end of the day people only set out to look for people that complement them not necessarily people that tick all the boxes.
Village or City don't matter when looking for a bride. What matters most is the person and what she has to offer.

Inked_Nerd:

How can he really love me if the dude is wrecking his brain over the fact that I don't wanna take his last name? I wouldn't give up on love but I still wouldn't wanna change my name. If he wants to walk away from me because of that, then that's on him. I'll go down the hyphenated route if his name is hyphenated as well.
OK that's a worthy compromise.
It's no biggie for me anywayz was just trying to find out why u r so adamant about keeping yours.
U been good though? been a while
RomanceRe: Village Brides Vs. City Brides by jaybee3(m): 2:18pm On Nov 19, 2010

RomanceRe: Village Brides Vs. City Brides by jaybee3(m): 2:11pm On Nov 19, 2010
Village bride then cos it's far easier for her to attain all the goody things accustomed to a city bride but far difficult for a city bride to learn how to be obedient
FamilyRe: Ladies Who Hold On To Their Father's Surname In Marriage by jaybee3(m): 2:04pm On Nov 19, 2010
I agree that one has to discuss that before taking the step if it's going to worry them so much.
Would you give up on love if your dream man happens to be adamant about you having his last name?
What about considering the hyphenated/mother's maiden names as a compromise.
RomanceRe: Village Brides Vs. City Brides by jaybee3(m): 1:40pm On Nov 19, 2010

Can we have cross-breeds?
Don't like all the qualities of the city girls and neither do i blush over the village girl so a cross between the 2 will do just fine

ain't nothing wrong with wanting to keep your surname as it's only a name at the end of the day.
What i wanna know though is how do you explain to your kids why daddy has a different surname to yours?

Tell him you simply aren't comfortable with it as you haven't done it before then go ahead to use your God given hands to get him aroused.

If he insists then ask him to do the honour first and if he does indeed oblige then surely u gotta do the doodoo.
