Alphadoor: We have been saying so since... 3rd round and we are still saying so ..
Abi o, but probably because the invitations per round has been just 1k. They need to increase that ASAP.
Although, I believe they are keeping it at 1000 so as to attend to the visa backlog too. If they decide to roll out more ITA, the visa application bombardment will surely overwhelm them.
While waiting, I urge everyone to move to 70pts.. as you have clearly stated 65 is the new 60 based on backlog.. the crowd no be here. The wait time gonna be reduced gradually. |

teewhysafe: 70 points seems like the baseline even for Non-pro rata occupations this year due to the Pro rata backlog. The predictions are not looking nice at all for 65 and 60 pointers . There will be a remarkable improvement if invites per round is increased above 1000 but if not, state nomination or getting 70 points is the way forward. Hmmm. Let's wait and see the result for this invitation round, then one can estimate the backlog on the prostate occupations. At east the 70pointers on prorata were closer to clearing theirs at the last round with 2-4weeks lodgement dates. Next round should maybe clear up almost/if not all 70pointers. |

diggy4real: The least point invite I saw was 70 for Mech engr, ICT system analyst, software engr, and ICT system and business. The 75s seem to be for Mech engr with DOE 7/08/17 and 8/08/17, and 'Almighty' accountants. Where were u able to see the current invites? |

bellong: @David27617,
Most occupations on the MLTSSL are also available to be sponsored on 190. As long as there is a state willing to sponsor it.
Apply for the New South Wales nomination. I think you should get a response faster since bricklayer occupation is not competitive and they really need them in the booming construction industry.
Goodluck Hello sir, what about civil engineering professional? Hoe competitive are they for state nomination? Then is there anyway one can access the pool of applicant in the state's ITA nomination process? Thanks |

Regional nomination fee in NSW is over double state nomination fee, 770: 300 AUD. And the areas sef are not so attractive. Pls can one change between regional areas? Like moving from the one that sponsored you to another area( though still regional) is it allowed?

bumpypat: @jayohh is almost impossible for a civil engineer with 60 or 65points to get invited? It will eventually get to them once that backlogs of higher points are cleared. It's just the wait that might be something else. Maybe in another 2 months sha, 60 pointers in non competitive occupations will start getting ITAs |

ZoeW: My worry is: if 75 pointers for just 2 rounds have collected 620 slots out of 1574 slots, leaving 954 slots for 70 pointers from March!! Slots would be exhausted by 1st round in October. Aswear down this 2611 no be am at all; but as it is my profession, there is nothing I can really do about it. Over to Baba God! Means no much hope for 65 pointers. I think they will have to spread the 70 points ITA to cross into 2018 just to keep the occupation in the rounds as they can't use up all the slots in 3months |

Cottyekundayo: Base point for civil engineering remains at 60. But when will people at this base point start seeing ITA, all invitees had 70-80point last round . And with current 1000 invites per round, seems like there is only about 200 slots for other occupations(non prorata) to hustle for, in which the higher points still get invited before others. |

alstarmayo: card trip or not, you can always do a fare review, the money will given back to you as Uber credit or paid back to your account this has happened to me before as a rider, after a fare review the money was paid into my account.
That airport surge is FAKE, very FAKE, don't fall for it On the contrary, they sent a weekly update email to this effect. Enjoy it while it's here

Jbelieve: Hi, does it mean with 60 or 65 points one can get an ITA in the above occupations irrespective of other occupations requiring 70 and above points in subsequent rounds. My exact thoughts |
Travel › Re: General Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa Through Skilled Migration. by jayooh: 9:53pm On Aug 03, 2017 |
Alphadoor: Example: ITA received July 25 with 70points for Accountant with Date of Effect (DOE) 18/11/2016 12:20pm
That means, in that round, the lowest ranked invitee in that occupation had 70 points and he submitted (or last updated) his EOI on 18/11/2016 12.20 pm. So, you can conclude three things (for that particular occupation): Nobody below 70 points got invitation in the that round All 70+ points got invitation Among the EOIs with 70 points, those who submitted (or last updated) after 18/11/2016 12.20 pm did not get invitation.
hope that helps..
update:
All the EOIs will be sorted by points (highest to lowest) and within each point break they will be sorted by date of effect (oldest to newest). If they decide to invite 200 applicants in an invitation round, they will select the first 200 in the list. The cut-off publishes on the DIBP website is the points/date of effect of the last person who was invited.
During the time to the next invitation, new EOIs will be submitted and they will again be sorted by points/date of effect. So if you have 65 points, any new EOI with more points will go ahead of you in the queue. Any 65 point EOIs will go behind you (since you have an older EOI).
For 60 point applicants, they will remain in the queue until they reach the front of the line. The reality is that there have consistently been more new EOIs with at least 65 points to fill each invitation round, so those with 60 points are not moving forward in the line.
The occupation ceiling has been set for 2016-2017 and it will reset on July 1st. However they still refer to the same queue of EOI applications so the 60-point EOIs may continue to stand still while new EOIs overtake them. Do they try sorting it out by occupation? So let say for example, 200 applicants are to be invited in a round; and you have say a very competitive occupation like accountants having 140 applicants with 70+ points. Now would the invitation cater for all of them at the detriment of other less competitive ones with lower points say 60-65 or is there a basis for spreading the 200 slot across different professions? |

alstarmayo: It could a network issue, GPS messes up sometimes, I once someone on taxify, a trip that's supposed to be about 2k came up with minimum fare of 400, she was surprised to see it, but she came down without saying anything( it was a card trip). If that trip had showed 4k, she would've labelled me a thief. You guys should pity us, this fare is already cheap as it is, but y'all are always quick to call us out but are quiet when it favours you Mr man, don't say what you don't know, or rather don't try to pretend like you don't know what we are talking about. When your gps hangs, you also do a fare review so which pity u deh find. That aside, it's not an issue of gps malfunction but direct cunning-Ness. The truth was he could get away because it was a card trip if not. I await uber response first. |

Alphadoor: Probably if July 25th results are released.. one may able to predict the possibility of when to expect an invite.
with 2000 189 per month... its likes 70 is the new 60 Hello, what exactly does that date of effect mean and how does it relate to when one expects ITA? I have seen you guys talk about it once a while and I just want a better understanding. Thanks |

Despite the fact that they didn't exhaust the ceiling for civil engineering professionals last year, they still increased the ceiling this year. Does this increase we see correlate to the fact that more civil professional are required in the Australian labor market?
Guess it's a good thing, more so it's not on prorata.

abitafah: from my own experience, i have discovered that when the network is bad,the GPS seems to malfunction, hence the gps would be moving zigzag wen you are in traffic, instead of it to be static as u are static in the traffic. UBER uses this GPS to calculate fare...as the GPS is moving, the money is calculating This thing is not intentional cos it has happened to me twice, so I advised the rider not to pay me... That i will report her to UBER deñ UBER will credit me with the correct amount and they will also send a msg to her as regards the correct trip fare which she would have to pay along with her next trip fare. It also happens on the opposite when the amount u get after a trip is too low, compared to your expectation. It is just a GPS malfunction. Juvenile One guy still run am for me today on uber. I gave him 1☆ . Based on say na card trip not much could be done, if it were cash we for dig am oh. Na to carry biro n paper begin calculate fare using uber rate o |

Business › Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by jayooh: 11:37am On Aug 01, 2017 |
entparrot: I will say it again 40k should be minimum. Even if you take 35k drivers will still drive more to make more.
Driving under Uber means driving more, so there is no 2ways about it.
If you take less, you are definitely cheating yourself. You will still have to fix the car, with Lagos road nature, expect to change, ball joint, stabilizer leakage and others.
If you drive from 6-6 u will still make your money, be it Uber or taxify.
I will say it again, taking 20-30k home weekly, for 6days drive, is fair enough...
Drivers that drive those buses to Abuja everyday make far less than 20k weekly.
I believe those jumping into Uber driving are greedy people, they are looking for owners, they will take advantage Well those drivers don't drive for 6days, they have their offs, and you are not sure they earn less than 70-80 per month. Take it from me. And long distance driving is far better than the short drops n pick ups. You just can't justify your idea of 30k for 14hours for 6days. Take it from me. |
