Anyway, let me try to respond to your worry here.

My son is 2 years and 3 months now. He still doesn't speak. But mutters some plenty things which I call baby Chinese. Hes my first and there are no kids in my compound. My dh and I are the only married people in my compound. So he plays alone and has imaginary conversations with himself.

He started creche late and most of the kids there were not talking either. Hes in pre nursery now and there has been some improvement. even though there is no clear speech (sometimes), he does show that he understands what you say and can even choose what to eat just by looking at what you intend to feed him (right before he goes into a fit if it's a meal he doesn't want)

I know lots of people will say take him to the hospital, do this or do that, but in my opinion, your kid is fine. What your kid and mine are probably lacking are other kids to play with!

My mil also told me my dh never uttered a word till he was 2yrs and 6months old!

If you're still too worried, then perhaps you can see a paediatrician to calm your fears. But I honestly think your child is doing just fine!

I have read that some kids use the time they are to use to develop skills to develop other skills instead.

The things my kid does, I just look and say, well you decided to learn decided one first before talking

Hi Mama, just breathe, it is well. First off mummy and daddy is actually hard especially for a first child who has no-one to show him by example. Is he making any sounds? If there is a need, the Paed will recommend a speech therapist who can help. Most speech issues can be solved with early detection

Mostly general or teaching hospitals

I dont know which one has the best pead but I use a private hospital

My son is 10 weeks old. Breastmilk has long since stopped flowing so we are purely on formula. My challenge is that a tin lasts less than 3 days and his consumption seems to be increasing and he eats every one hour plus. This isn't pocket friendly plus the formula doesn't hold him for long . What can I do to supplement his food.. Is it okay to introduce pap right now?
