cowgurl: Yeah, in heaven. Will u make it?Nairaland nor go kill me with laugther. na crime to toast Person again |
so true. a pretty friend of mine once opened up to me about what OP said |
the prob is class. even a rich girl who can pay her bills wants a guy of (or higher than) her financial class. we live in a very class-based society. class here means money and its derivatives (swag, comfort, exposure etc.). A lot of girls are materialistic - no fault of theirs - due to our value system. most girls get desperate before they think of settling for less. there is no definition of rich as wealth is really relative. i for one have seen some folks call me a broke ass guy why other peeps say i am a big boy. you really just have to spend more time searching for the few un-materialistic ladies. |
very correct post. for me, the closest i am there is a ghost. what i took from ur post is that it is not necessarily because we are busy and all that but we rather she is not part of our life so only do the communication at our own behest. dem don tell me say it only takes one girl i genuinely care for to turn me to a stalker sef. |
they actually don't need permission of cross river peeps to migrate there. cross river has no sovereignty, only Nigeria does. and i don't think the fulani herdsmen have left Nigeria to be in cross river. my real concern is the reason given for their escape. You are escaping from Tiv peeps and you flee to Benue and futher down south to Cross River , a border town to benue. something seems fishy. |
@Onila. dat was not very nice. na wetin make some of us nor dey gree toast in the sense of the word |
mass protest against corruption Can we protest against ourselves? ![]() Corruption is not about government or politicians. we are corrupt even in the most minute activity and we help to perpetrate the corruption at the top-government level. |
the thing is removal is subsidy is not bad in itself especially if it is done right. it is the intentions of those pushing it I don't trust. I personally think GEJ & Cohorts just want to chop money. meanwhile for those who believe in politicians (GEJ, Tinubu, Fashola, Oshomole , Sanusi). I tell you all politicians are same. You cant know their intentions. |
rx steve:stop generalising jor. Uniben is the most respected in the industry i work in |
this was just because of the issues some of them had with the Nigerian Medical and Dental council. lots of politics involved especially with the UBTH CMD. the issues have been sorted out. maybe the UK haven't been updated or this news is stale. I finished from Uniben and those medical students are intelligent chaps. not sure about the other Unis in Edo but Uniben is ok. the issue was more of trying to absorb medical students from some neighbouring schools without doing the necessary infrastructure upgrade. I know I cant generalise on a very small sample but Uniben Engineers are one of the (if not the most) respected schools where I work and in the industry. |
relationships are not to take care of your financial needs. if u werent there he will manage. tell him to manage with what he has |
not a finance person but like Sir Ajanlekoko said, just do a Valuation of the business. You might want to consider sweat capital too .you seem not to be comfortable with giving her much shares. have u explored all debt financing alternatives. |
AjanleKoko:even for degrees like computer science, engineering sef. you can do online. Ensure it is a course-work + Thesis sha |
depends on the school and program. an Online masters in IT from Liverpool might not be looked at so well. But an Online masters in Computer science from University of Colorado would bas as good as a full masters from the school. The entry requirements are same. same course content. same graduation requirements. lectures are the same as you get videos of the lectures and u can attend class lectures just as d full time students if u wish. |
denzel2009:LWKMD I haven't met any nairalanders since i joined (Jan 2007). maybe because i am not too active and read more than I post. also, Nairaland has no IM so it is going to be difficult to chat someone up and possibly meet. |
If a girls toasts U as a guy and u are not interested, do not lead her on for her egos sake. it is better to say NO. it is 99% likely to be counter-productive and could lead u to losing her as a friend later on. She will definitely get over ur NO. Ladies in this age are much bolder and would even get over it immediately. Also, be careful with your answer to WHY CANT YOU DATE ME. If u are able to say NO and ur answer to the latter does not hurt her feelings then all is well and good. |
Ybutterfly:lol @ important part of his body |
I am of the opinion that women are simply inconsiderate and lack an ability to be understanding. They expect to be understood more than they try to understand others. They have so much drama and can almost never be appreciative of a guy's efforts. They say sometin and mean sometin else and yet expect me to understand what they mean. U toast dem, dem nor gree: U stop being persistent - U are a coward U persist - u are a stalker I hate dis tins but i have to make an effort to live with them. |
how much does dis go for? |
women are smarter IMO. or maybe it's because I'm Dumb. lol. women know what they want, where they want the relationship to head to and a plan B if things don't work out well. Men don't have the time or emotional intelligence to work out this tins. Even in wooing, i found that most girls we are happy we got after all the scoping and washie already had an eye for us. na dem woo us implicitly, dem just allow us dey run arnd dey make dem happy like say dem be nor dey interested. |
cant even say if i have or have not. with most peeps definition, then i've never been. i sincerely dont understand it Hoping i will enjoy what those in love are enjoying someday ![]() |
haba. if blessing Okagbare was ur child or sister, wont u guys celebrate her. also, if u look at nigeria's perfromance in the last few tourneys, u wld agree this is some improvement. so, YES, it deserves to be celebrated. this is not celebrating mediocrity, it is celebrating improvement. forget 1996, cos we retrogressed far below b4 dis improvement |
i am far from being a geologist. i studied comp science but i still know that seeping crude means nothing. It could be very small deposits of oil buried at low depth and lacking a suitable cap. it is even possible that no commercially viable reservoirs will be found. testing the surface substance to be crude does not mean Uhuru. lots of work still needs to be done before anyone can talk about oil producing. |
una own different o. I don fix date, buy wedding clothes, buy, ring, cakes, food and drinks, send out IVs, notify priest. Na only the wife wey i wan marry naim remain ![]() |
superstory from a Yahoo boy |
sure u dont need to be an engineer. project management concepts are devoid of any discipline specifics. u might do well in costs & risks cos of ur bground sef focus on the quality side well sha. some of the tools used like pareto charts, fault tree analysis etc. are more familiar with the engr peeps. |
and if u dont see an ACCA lecture centre u cld use an ICAN lecture centre while jacking ur ACCA books ![]() |
@Op. i will say u are doing well so far. u have the rite attitude for her. U just need a lil bit of patience. U are unassuming which is good. also never be judgmental. rememba u are teaching her to trust so u must trust completely. i wont agree withe the being overly romantic advise u were giving o. be natural. if u are naturally romantic then keep at it. the keyword is persistence & consistency not heroics. |
Guys no need to complain. d babe is simply going for what she wants: A rich guy. It's ur job to either fulfill her desire by being rich or go for a girl who doesnt require a rich guy. i am/will choose the second option. Do u call a guy wicked because he wants a 9/10 beauty girl. absolutely not. I also tell ladies who hate on those guys to leave dem alone. everyone one knows what dey want from life. we all have some expectations from our would-be spouses. |
@Ajanlekoko. thanks for the help u are giving peeps on this forum. I particularly have benefited a lot from the career section. I have a small issue i need some guidance on. My brother graduated in Elect/comp engr (2.1) from Uniben and has done the CCNA, ITIL certifications. his interests lie in Telecoms but it has been so difficult to break into telecoms. I personally have noticed that experience is king in telecoms making it harder for entry level guys like my brother. even the huwawei n alcatel seem to focus mnore on the experienced guys. My brother then tried to go the IT companies route but even that has been difficult. I recently convinced him to do the MCSE certification since he was practicing Exchange/Active Directory on one of his Vmware virtual machines on his laptop. He argued with me dat he doesnot hust want to be packing certifications. he needs the experience even if the pay is small. what do u think he needs to do to improve his chances of getting an entry level job in telecoms. (i am not talking abt the customer care & d likes. core technical stuffs)? the guy don dey tire for house. |
same way i lost 462, 000 naira |
