i rilly can't understand why my naija peeps are going on and on about Melvin.... Dude is slow . YES! Let's all agree on that.

Now, think/look beyond the obvious. What do UTI, Karen, Ola, Goldie(Rip) , Beverly and Melvin have in common? They aren't the sort of repss that Nigerians/Africans will fall in love with easily.
Right from the audition stage , Multichoice made the game harder for Nigeria.(They don't want us to win again- best believe that )

Everytime i see Melvin , i wonder what he did at the auditions that earned him a spot. Same for Beverrly.
We can critisize Melvin all we want , but the truth of the matter is this ....If Melvin was half as Obnoxious as Uti, crazy like Karen, 'agbero-ish' like Ola or love struck like Goldie he would have been out since week 1.
When you come from a country with three wins in the bag, the odds are never in your favour. Melvins slowness which i wd rather call goodness of heart is what is pulling non-nigerians to him. Not knowing what diaspora means doesn't make you stupid , not recognising that your country has enough enemies and making some more for yourself. Thats STUPIDITY. On that count, Melvin is Wise.

Read thru posts and thot to drop my thots on d matter.

Let's not forget that its just half time on BBA, we stil have about 6weeks to go .let's also not forget that majority of the publicity that Melvin received in the past weeks had to with Dillish one way or another. Let's put patriotism aside for a minute and yarn ourselves some truth. Melvin by himself is BORING. If Dillish leaves the house he is going to go into oblivion.
If una no trust Dillish, give her a long rope to hang herself . i bet this won't be the last time she'l be up for eviction, we can sort her out later. But for the sake of Melvins game - Vote Dillish, Save Dillish.
Bassey on the hand is a stronger threat, read the game well and u'l see what I'm seeing..we no fit dey yarn every for public.

Hey, gotta shout out to the peeps that saw the connection between Melvin and Dillish even when no words had been spoken.

i recall people asking why Naija was voting dillish considering neither of them had publicly admitted any feeling or attraction for each other.
Imagine if it was last night we just discovered MELDISH and had been rooting for Marvin? how we for undo the votes between 1am and 5am.

The worst case scenario right now is that Maria would be evicted , i think a lot more campaign and votes went into saving Dillish (I hope)

summary of the whole matter for me is this - With Maria, even with so many guys liking her and reason to be jealous/ protective Melvin could hold his feeling and try to wait till after the game. With Dillish , despite her having a Bf, persistent Nando and dillishs ' I love Bassey ' talk , Melvin couldn't chill or hold his thoughts.

Let it also go on record that Dillish is THE FIRST GIRL in the house Melvin will tell directly that he likes/liked. Roger that MARVIN!!!!!
TV/Movies / Re: Big Brother Africa "The Chase" Official Thread by jejelolatu(f): 4:41am On Jun 30, 2013
By the way, did anyone mention here that Dillish was restless on her bed and couldn't sleep for at least an hour after the convo ended. Does that seem like reaction of someone happy to wield the power of NO? i think not.

FLASHBACK
Bassey: Dillish likes Melvin, i came into this house just yesterday and i can see it already.

for those wondering why Melvin spilled his mind , Dillish is up for eviction and might be leaving tomorrow. Melvin got anxious probably and couldn't hold it in anymore, I think the night he told her he will cry if she was evicted was the time he started feeling the pressure.

so i watched the whole melvin / Dilish convo live and i can categorically say here that Melvin declared His Manifesto to Dillish on international TV. To buttress this, the last thing Melvin said before he turned away and faced the wall was " I shouldn't have come to Diamond" and Dillish replied " you tell me this after 5 weeks, last minute? "

I see most people here judging Dillish for brother-zoning Melvin, she did the right thing i tell you. Aside her beauty, the only other thing that would have stood out about her and attracted Melvin is most definitely the fact that she wasn't chasing Melvin like the other girls.

Wait, what were you people expecting? she should jump into Melvin's bed and act like Maria isn't her friend from waaaaayyyyyyy back? c'mon, she already made it clear to him that she is down for whatever despite having a BF, she told all the HMs today during the Bassey show that Melvin inspires her and that she spends most of her time with him she even added accolades for him sef.

She offered to give Melvin a massage yesterday, she told him she likes him ( forget the i am joking story) . How much more green light can a girl in a relationship give to another guy who is practically in a relationship with her friend (Maria)
Abeg, free the babe make she do shakara small. its obvious that she likes Melvin, Make Melvin sef sort out the Maria end so it doesnt look like Dillish came in between them .

This season is not called The Chase for nothing, Melvin should show his skills if he has any, na today girl dey friend zone guy? i just hope ya @@ses saved Dillish o, cos na dat one go pain me for the matter.

curious123: Plz o, is melvin telling selly that he likes her and doesn't mind her drama with sulu/nando abi what am I hearing?

Not at all. Selly told him about the gist Maria gave her about Melvin liking her. He said he has grown to like Maria but didn't like the way everyone was talking about Melvin / Maria. He told Selly he gave her his Avatar in the first week becos he started liking her then cos they use to talk a lot about Niaja /GH movies. Said he heard a lot of negative stuff about her at Diamond but always wanted to hear it from her directly. That even when he heard she wwas dating sulu and later liking Nando he still saw her as a friend and never disliked her for it. Selly kept trying to get Melvin to declare love for her but the sharp guy kept her in Friend zone.

VULCAN:

You have made a point about putting up naija housemates which I agree with. But my question remains unanswered. If Annabel and Melvin's nationalities were swapped would you still say that what Annabel did was an offence?

Nigeria will always stand by Nigerian HMs except in rare cases like Nkenna. If there is one trait Nigeerian reps have shown over the years its LOYALTY to their friends and alliances. I'm yet to see a Naija HM laugh and play with HMs and stab them in the back in the DS. This loyalty is what usually translates to votes for other countries from Nigeria.(See the current case of Dillish / Maria / Melvin)
To answer your question directly, If a Nigerian HM does that especially to someone you claim to have an understanding with then as a country we won't be expecting any vote from Kenya. Its rily that simple.

So i have been silently blogging this season but i doubt i can hold it in anymore. i see some familiar handles from a very distant past, chief strategist and field officers. This season is kinda different tho, i don't see nearly enough strategising. People are not voting with sense(its not Personal*Annabels Voice ) anywaz , its great to be back. Truth be told , Melvin's personality is not Winning Material , i like his strategy ( or lack of it ) ,we can't keep winning with the same formula- Agressive, loud, rude and in your face Housemates- Melvin is a breath of fresh air for me . Its nice to finally see a Nigerian repping us in a decent way cos in reality not every Nigerian is like Uti and Karen. Melvin is only boring when you measure him against past Naija HMs . The game is still far from over, too early to be declaring love or forming alliances.

On one hand im glad dat we are not blinded by our love for Uti, $700,000 is indeed OUTRAGEOUS.

On the other hand, we need to understand dat its JUST BUSINESS. Glo noticed Utis popularity among young pple and they decided to cash in on it. . . . . . .u fink they didnt feel the impact of all dat SMS voting during BBall stars.

Yall need to understand, that Glo isnt gna dash d money out to poor pple on the streets, if they dont give d money to celebrities they would simply reinvest it into their business.

The question we shud be askin is wat has d the likes of Psquare, Dbanj, Basket mouth, Pasuma and many many others who have benefited from Glo done for the society . . . . .

if this deal comes through then Uti wd be $900,000 rich, i aint even gna convert it to naira . . Lol . I hope for his own sake dat his head is in d right place.

This agbar guy just dey yarn okpats.

The few Nigerians i know dat had issues wit Uti had their reservations abt him dissapear into thin air when they watched the pride wit which he raised d National flag n sang the anthem.

In d 'Vote Uti' dayz Ricco put up an update dat said - U CANT BUY LOYALTY.
I totally agree wiv him, Uti showed unequalled loyalty to his friends nd most importantly his country. . . . . . Dats one xter trait munya cant buy wiv $300,000.

We certainly wnt be winnin BBA in a whyl, abeg stand aside nd lets enjoy d victory whyl it lasts.

Ambber:

Let's talk abt s exual preferences. Sheila tickles a lot of guys fantasies and many of them will give 2 arms just to do.

True , very true. Many guyz would want to DO. i.e a one night stand /fling , marraige is a different ball game o.

Ambber:

There is a paradigm shift towards what storm u can cause in d bedroom.

True again, my only question is after d 1st few weeks or even months of honeymoon, how much time is spent in d bedroom?

Ambber:

Every marriage starts from dating and if they want to na dem sabi and if dem no want na dem know.

fair enuff!

On d munya thingy, those zimbos are Settin themselves up for trouble, i wonder which country or international organisation would give aids a grants to zimbabwe after this misuse of national funds.
To think Goodluck was under fire for simply congratulating Uti while mugabe nd his cohorts are going on and on as if its a matter of national security.
Na wa to dem o,
TV/Movies / Re: Big Brother Africa 5 (the Official Thread) Is Here! by jejelolatu(f): 4:05pm On Oct 21, 2010
Okay, i dnt wanna talk abt Uti nd Sheila, wateva they do is their business. Shikena!

However, dis issues has raised other deeper issues that i'ld liike to share my thots on.

LOVE and SEXUAL PREFERENCES:
Love is probably d basis for most relationships, such wonderful pictures have bin painted abt love by different love sick pple dat d general believe is dat love conquers all. Well, If love was ever enough why do we have so many divorce/seperation cases all over d world?

Everybody is entitled to their sexual preference ( well, not everybody . . .wen i have kids , sexual preference wnt be optional .lol )

Being Gay is akward enuff, bisexuality is takin it a bit too far. Pple ought to make up their minds and stop trying to 'eat their cake n have it'

Bottom line for me is dis , We Africans are gettin a lil too openminded. We are buyin a lot of crap abt love n sexual preferences -
Love can move mountains, sexuality is a function of hormones . . .yada yada yada. So much BS on TV dis dayz. Mschew!

This is d real world, its not a movie or the pages of a harlequin / silouhette novel. DONT GET IT TWISTED.

See , me i dunno wat u guyz are talkin abt here o?

wen u guyz say u want "shuti" wat exactly do u mean?

A fling or a marraige?

Sheila is a very sex inclined bisexual female. (babe was Hot for 91 dayz), Uti cd easily hav a heart attack wondering wat shes up to evrytime they aint 2geda, even wen shes just chillin wiv her female buddies.

I know we all like a good love story nd happy endings buh d press nd fans rily need to back off Uti , give him space to think things thru.

He is in an industry dat thrives on popularity, if he feels Nigerians want shuti he is gna give us shuti .

If sheila was just playin d game in d house, do u rily think she would admit it now, esp wen shes got another shot at the prize money. Abeg! Abeg! Abeg! Make una leave them they have entertained us for 91+ dayz, its time to let go nd give them back their lives.

I hope some1 will tell Uti dat naijas love him, shuti or no Shuti - No pressure.

Nlanders, If na ur broda nko?
Theres an adage in yoruba dat " Were dun wo loja ko se bi lomo" English cant do justice to d sayin so i aint translating. Lol!

SAGirl:

You know guys, I really do not understand what is this thing with SADC vs. ROA. If there really is beef, I can assure you that SA has absolutely nothing to do with it. For an average South African, an African is an African is an African. Whether you are from Zimbabwe or Nigeria believe me they will treat you the same. Either they like you or they don't.

I have supported Uti through all this and it's not nice to see all these jabs against my country in here. I'm also patriotic, you know,

I totally understand how u feel, i hv also bin on a couple of non-nigerian forums too nd i knw how i feel wen i see bad stuff written abt my country

I dnt believe evry SAcan or SADC 4 dat matter has a problem with Nigeria just cos a handful are throwin tantrums on d BBA site. See, just because Uti was cursin and shoutin @ every1 doesnt make all Nigerians loudmouthed. I am not one to make genaralizations

I'll apologise to u simply cos u are d exception buh d fact still remains dat there are loads of pple out there who hv beef against Nigerians. d Xenophobia incident is still fresh in our minds.

No offence meant . much love for u , ok?

TV/Movies / Re: Big Brother Africa 5 (the Official Thread) Is Here! by jejelolatu(f): 8:58am On Oct 18, 2010
I think no cheque was presented cos d cheque had Munyas name on it.

Uti stole dat victory, if they knew Uti was gna win they wdnt hv brought TWO naija artistes to d finale. NEVER!

All dat story IK gave B4 announcin d winner was prolly to pacify Munya, i bet Mnet is also scared dat dude might kill himself hence d "Nobody shud think Africa dosnt love them" story

All in all Uti nids to get back in2 naija ASAP, i dnt trust dis SADc pple.

The real winners of BBA dis year are the pple all across Africa esp NIGERIANS that saw d possibility in a seemingly impossible situation and worked hard at makin it a reality.

I hope dat one day, some time soon perhaps ELECTION 2011 we can channel all dis passion nd positive energy in to makin Nigeria a better place.

We didnt rily believe in UTI but we believed in Nigeria n so we made it work, same also, we dnt have to believe in dose Politicians buh we can ensure with our votes that d best man is sworn in as president on May 29 2011.

Hope to see all d excellent strategists here on politics section nxt year.

WELLDONE GUYS!
