latest polls

Elizabeth  34.8%
Nkenna 34.7%
Emma 30.5%

I think its going to come down to who has the least votes countries wide  grin grin

For the first time, we cannot be sure of who is leaving

I think Zimbabwe is no longer voting for Nkenna becos of her plan with Mzamo to ensure Itia is on the hit least for telling the other HM her plans

Also i think Eliz becos of her indian blood, she may have some support spread along the SADC countries
TV/Movies / Re: Big Brother Africa 4 (The Official Thread) by jemilady: 2:55pm On Nov 04, 2009
At this stage for me i believe what each hm needs to do is avoid nominations, because as the money become more and more of a reality, you want to avoid being on the chopping board to ensure an opportunity to contest for the money.

Hopefully two would go this week and its should be Eliz & Nkenna
TV/Movies / Re: Big Brother Africa 4 (The Official Thread) by jemilady: 10:56am On Nov 03, 2009
Sometimes i think MTN being the main sponsor might be manipulating these results to get the person they want out. And when you think of it logically its easy to do that. They are the medium for the votes, they watch the trend and know what few votes are needed to ensure a HM walks and just ensures those votes come in.

So on sunday i would not be surprised when Nkenna gets the maximum of eight votes needed for her to walk, just my thoughts.

Maybe being a Nigerian and surrounded with so much election rigging gets one paranoid
TV/Movies / Re: Big Brother Africa 4 (The Official Thread) by jemilady: 9:05am On Nov 03, 2009
Well SADC are voting Nkenna enmass to spite Nigeria grin grin

The eviction is by least votes, and since votes are close here is my least vote spread

Nkenna
Zamibia
Kenya
Tanzania
Mozambique
Angola
Ethiopia

Emma

Eliz
Nigeria
SA
ROA
Namibia
Malawi
uganda
Zimbabwe

I am not sure of Ghana & Botswana, its really to close to call

Nkenna   36.0%
Elizabeth 33.6%
Emma 30.4%

When you remember that these votes are not country based.

sology, her time is really up, if you were asked to choose between a nigerian who wanted you dead and a south african who is your best friend and who'll stand by you always, who would you choose? seriously?

grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin
TV/Movies / Re: Big Brother Africa 4 (The Official Thread) by jemilady: 2:31pm On Nov 02, 2009
I think people must have perspective here. I am one of those that have said again and again that the Nigerian HM have being below par this year.

However on this issue i think Kevin was right. You cannot be put before a moving trailer and continue to laugh. Even God that encourages us to pray for others declares says "Don't suffer a witch to live".

There are certain situations that require drastic again and what Kevin did was for survival. If he goes or stays doesn't matter, what matters is taking his fate in his hands and doing what he had to do.

Nkenna thought she had the game figured, she would definately get the least votes from Kenya, Angola, Tanzania, Ghana and maybe Mozambique, Zamibia, Botstwana & Ethiopia. Its a three way tie.

I think she would walk unless Itai is switched with her
TV/Movies / Re: Big Brother Africa 4 (The Official Thread) by jemilady: 10:44pm On Nov 01, 2009
Well hope you guys that were trying to run Kevin down, see his point. Nkenna asking Edward to do her dirty work !! by putting Kevin against Elizabeth

Well lets see how tomorrow goes.
TV/Movies / Re: Big Brother Africa 4 (The Official Thread) by jemilady: 10:11pm On Nov 01, 2009
I think its important for people to have perspective here. Nkenna goes and tell Eddi, Kevin wanted her to swap you ??

What does that tell anyone, She is after me and i must fight back and now !!!

Kevin gets his buddies lets nominate her - Its a fair game, Nkenna has only her interest at heart and would turn on Geraldine if given the opportunity.

I hope tomorrow, they ensure they put up Nkenna, Eddie & Mzamo up, that way Eddie saves himself and puts up Itai/Kevin/Eliz/Lionel up

We must be fair here Kevin can be annoying sometimes but this Nkenna girl is something else.
TV/Movies / Re: Big Brother Africa 4 (The Official Thread) by jemilady: 5:34pm On Oct 27, 2009
Just saw nkenna's video profile Embarrassed what the heck was that!!! Angry Embarrassed
Keep voting jeremy guys. even if he eventually leaves, kenya wil still appreciate our efforts and support us when the time comes.

Its the very first time they are showing it. I think they hastily put it together. Since people had already started asking questions.

Amd yes, it was probably done in the house

That only proves, Nkenna was a last minute addition when Geraldine's twin failed to turn up. Only logical
TV/Movies / Re: Big Brother Africa 4 (The Official Thread) by jemilady: 4:06pm On Oct 27, 2009
Geraldine's video was really nice n funny, but it was unlike her
Just wondering if her twin popped in to do it Wink

you never know ehh grin grin grin

Hi Guys, Being at the Mnet Oboma forum discussing with other Nigerians, and they have agreed to peach with Emma, reasons being that already Tanzania & Ghana are voting for her and that if we split votes, Mzamo would remain.

So i guess i have changed my mind now, am voting for Emma.

Mzamo would most likely get SA, Malawi, Uganda, Zim,Nam,Moz
TV/Movies / Re: Big Brother Africa 4 (The Official Thread) by jemilady: 8:59pm On Oct 26, 2009
Well you guys must remember that in this game we must vote strategically, Being the only West African remaining on the show we are endangered.

If you go to the Mnet Oboma forum and read the hate, you would forget about entertainment and vote strategically. Nigeria contributes a good chunk every year to the price money.

So i say again pls vote Jeremy both for Nigeria/ROA means, its the least we can do.

Thanks Guys

By the way i hope Nkenna is not drunk with all her rantings, if she doesn't win HOH friday, she would definetly by up.
TV/Movies / Re: Big Brother Africa 4 (The Official Thread) by jemilady: 8:53pm On Oct 26, 2009
Here are my thoughts, Kenya/Angola has supported us again and again . Last year we supported Angola to win it. I was sad last year when we did not support Sheila when she was up even though they had supported us during Uti's time.

So my take is this, We need to even this things out and show Kenya that we can be trusted, not really becos of entertainment but for strategy i would prefer Jeremy, Angola should understand our hands are tied here ??
TV/Movies / Re: Big Brother Africa 4 (The Official Thread) by jemilady: 5:36pm On Oct 25, 2009

http://bigbrotherafrica.com/forum/Thread-Kevin-and-Nigerians-set-his-fate

That article was written by a ugandan. If you are observant you would notice that Ugandan's never have anything positive to say about Nigeria. When Kevin was up against Hanni you would have seen them in thier colours.

They have one of their notorious guys Ronnie who runs the Strapline of a daily basis on evicting the Nigerians.
TV/Movies / Re: Big Brother Africa 4 (The Official Thread) by jemilady: 2:10pm On Oct 25, 2009
The thing is the Nigerian contestants this year are so much below par ?? How do they do the advertisements and the final auditions.

Nkenna with all her villaging seems to have more chances that Geraldine & Kevin.

How can Mnet give us these type of people as  contestants.
TV/Movies / Re: Big Brother Africa 4 (The Official Thread) by jemilady: 3:33pm On Oct 23, 2009
I think Kevin might not leave this sunday becos the voting is already 5 days old with only one day to go and its difficult to reverse that trend.

Also the countries with no rep like Ethiopia, Botswana, Zambia don't really care. Except Uganda who year in Year out make it a war with Nigeria.

Kenya/Angola have being supporting Kevin since Monday becos of Krystal so its like 60/40. I would be surprised if Kevin left this sunday. I am actually pissed with Kevin though, his behaviour with the Eliz girl has being very annoying.

TV/Movies / Re: Big Brother Africa 4 (The Official Thread) by jemilady: 12:55pm On Oct 22, 2009
Guys tell us how it went. Hope its not another flop
TV/Movies / Re: Big Brother Africa 4 (The Official Thread) by jemilady: 8:46pm On Oct 20, 2009
Well Kevin seems to have God on his side, with Kristal dishing Jeremy/Emma and threatening to nominate them Kevin get Kenya/Angola votes. Then Kaone sending strong support should definately deliver Botswana vote. And with Quin putting Edward up for eviction, hopefully Namibian votes. Honestly yesterday i saw no hope.
TV/Movies / Re: Big Brother Africa 4 (The Official Thread) by jemilady: 10:49am On Oct 20, 2009
Had a sleep over and had a rethink, Kevin can make this with 8 Country votes

Countries most likely to Swing his Way

 Nigeria - His home Country
 Tanzania - Becos of Eliz
Ghana - Becos of West Africa
Zambia - Becos of Poloma and the fact that SA instigated her exit
Bostwana - Becos Quin set their boy up and caused his exit
Angola - Becos Kevin is in Alliance with Emma
Kenya - Becos Jeremy is in allaince with Kevin/Emma
Namibia - Possibility becos Quinn set their boy up for eviction
ROA - Becos if Niaja votes under this column through the mail would ensure Kevin stays in

Guys pls lets send SMS to the straps lines along these lines, even if Namibia votes for SA Kevin would still make it, he needs on 8 country votes

Any addition country like Ethiopia would just be an added boost.
TV/Movies / Re: Big Brother Africa 4 (The Official Thread) by jemilady: 8:10pm On Oct 19, 2009
Well why did you guys go vote Eddy/Emma, if We had supported Botswana at least we would have something to slavage from the Southern African Countries. And becos Quinn is white, we might have saved Kevin.

Honestly i don't see Kevin surviving its a done deal sorry guys
TV/Movies / Re: Big Brother Africa 4 (The Official Thread) by jemilady: 10:56pm On Oct 07, 2009
My issue really is why is it that year after year the composition of the countries for BBA is 2 West African Countries and now 9 SADC countries. The voting pattern is one country one votes, so at the end of the day MNET just rips us off.

There has to be a way of addressing this, if they cannot change the voting pattern, then they must make it a simple majority.
TV/Movies / Re: Big Brother Africa 4 (The Official Thread) by jemilady: 10:43pm On Oct 07, 2009
Well my advise is to be on the safe side people should continue to vote for both, because the original position did not say that.
TV/Movies / Re: Big Brother Africa 4 (The Official Thread) by jemilady: 10:03pm On Oct 06, 2009
Good Day, Pls remember because of this pair thing, when voting remember to also vote for Elizabeth, if Elizabeth gets the least votes, Kevin would be evicted too.
Travel / Re: Nigerians Abroad: What Advise Will You Give Anyone Relocating Abroad? by jemilady: 11:22am On Jan 14, 2009
@trustboy

Jemilady, i do not really understand why your hubby would convert from highly skilled migrant visa status which is a path to settlement to student visa which is not. If he plans to get settlement under the 10year residence rule, i am afraid he is taking a gamble because this is a concession outside immigration rules and plans are underway to remove it.

The highly skilled Visa was in my name and he was a dependant, and since i never relocated, it made good sense to revert to student visa. No we are not looking at 10 year residency plan, you know right now to renew your HSMP you need a salary of at least £40000PA or PHD to qualify. The PHD he is doing in on scholarship and is in the area of diversity management/conflict resolution. It comes with a lot of seminars/presentations which would put us in a better migration position or even leaving the UK altogether for greener pastures.
Travel / Re: Nigerians Abroad: What Advise Will You Give Anyone Relocating Abroad? by jemilady: 2:29pm On Jan 11, 2009
For me relocating abroad is not what you do in a hurry, you need to think well and hard. Your reason must never be about quick money, becos there is not legitimate quick money to make unless you are into entertainment. It helps to do good scouting and not rely on here say, it would save you a lot of headache and disappointments.

My husband and I, have been flirting with the idea for about four years plus now, he started with the one year masters program in Scotland, from there migrated to the two year leave to remain residence permit, from there to highly skilled and now back to student visa where he is doing his phd at the moment.

All this while, i have remained in Nigeria with the kids and only travel for holidays and return, its not that i would not want to relocate but  even with my so many years in IT, employers keep asking for UK experience and if you say you don't have would want to start you at the bottom of the ladder

For us the relocation choice, is becos of the Kids, to broaden their opportunities.
Autos / Re: Toyota Corolla 2005 Just Arrived From Usa by jemilady: 10:01pm On Jan 03, 2009
Hi,

Don't want to join issues here but add my own knowledge on the issue under discussion, Just bought A toyota Corolla 2007 (American Specs) with a mileage of 23000miles for 2m.

I initially wanted to buy brand new but the going prices are for a 1.8liters 3.4M for manual and 3.8M for automatic, they have the 1.4litres which are only manual for 2.85M. RT Briscoe had the lowest price.

The price of the car really depends not just on its year but the mileage and the condition of the car.
