@pres-elect, One thing is common with ALL the people labelled terrorists. They intend to use the medium of fear and death to effect political changes. Driving those intentions are ideological persuasions. I can no more call the Colorado gunman a terrorist than I can call a common criminal who kills to steal from another a terrorist. The muslim officer who killed his colleagues did so to make a political point to pacify his ideological conscience. The Colorado gunman probably commited that crime to settle a personal score. Both men however should be hanged on a tree and fed to vultures. Better still, the terrorists should be fed to pigs, after being injected with the swine flu of course.
Tayo, this is grossly unfair and insensitive of you . . . what did those poor pigs do to deserve such a thing?Ibime:Then where does it end? Christians should not be deployed should there arise a conflict in a 'christian' nation? Hindus? Buddhists? How about if any prospective soldier examine himself/herself and determine if their personal belief system will hinder them from fighting in any war not enlist at all in the first place? How can anyone join the army and then complain about having to fight in a war? I don't get it. |
davidylan:I guess I shouldn't be suprised. 2 pages and counting and we are yet to see a strong, unequivocal denouncement of this tragedy by the peaceful NL muslims . . . offtopic: David I just wanted to say the last 4 paragraphs of your last entry on the "what it takes to be a christian" thread was moving and convicted even me who barely goes to the religion section anymore. I thank you for that. |
Why art thee all hating on Shia now? I like that skinny white boy ![]() |
spikedcylinder:Nope. Is that a place?
Anyone who believes himself living worthy of his name has to be seriously deluded. The 'enemy' is you? Lol
My sister, you better believe it! lol The devil is peanuts compared to the flesh. |
Billygoat:I wonder. His conscience was not bothering him when he was collecting and using OUR tax dollars to educate and better himself. I have seen his type, who simply join the army for the benefits and then cry foul when they're asked to fulfil their obligations. |
Jesoul Ma'am, sorry, but the truth is . . not all terrorists are muslims. . . and this is not about political correctness, it is about truth. those blue eyed blondes who go on rampage with their guns killing people in america. . . what are they? ahaaa . . they are called gunman . . . but they are terrorists. just that they are not using the name allah the guy who went to a gymn and shot women b/c for 30yrs he never had any babe, what is he? the guy who went to a church and shot the ''abortion'' doctor, what is he? the white supremacists groups that go on rampage and occasionally commit murder, what is he? the black sicko who went about killing women in cleveland, what is he? they are all terrorists. many times in the US someone goes on rampage killikng people and sometimes killing himself, what do you call them? they are terrorists and they are not muslims
Which is why I put it in italics or didn't you notice? Obviously not ALL terrorists are muslims. Would you feel better if I said >95% of terrorist (I'm not talking about domestic squabbles) attacks are perpetrated by muslims? |
lol . . . watch the news, I will soon be getting my own personal shout out If it were me I would pull out the troops. How useless it is to throw lives at a war that can not now nor ever be won. To make things worse, unemployment just hit 10.2% . . . |
yeswecan:Why join the army if you're against wars? if you know your conscience will not permit it, then leave. I don't recall there being any mandatory draft that robbed him of his right to not join the armed forces. But no, he decides to take the lives of 11 people, somebodys son, daughter, father, mother all because he was upset - its quite unfortunate that he survived - now he'll become a hero of sorts to aspiring terrorists everywhere. |
which one u no dey? she is not steroe typing, 99% of such acts are done by muslims, dont paint them all in this brush . . . ![]() 99% of internet fraud is done by nigerians . . . . . .why should the white american trust you in any deal? . . . . . sounds unfair? . . . . . that is exactly how millions of decent mus-lims will feel when u do this. and then they get upset and isolated . . . . and then get accepted by the wing-nuts out there.
Prez sir, my point is simply this: 'All' terrorists so far have been muslims BUT not all muslims are terrorists. And no amount of political correctness can soften that truth. And you will see I ended by inviting the peaceful muslims to condemn this tragedy becos they are so often incredibly silent when these kinds of terrorist acts occur. I will never forget 9/11 . . . they were celebrating on the streets of the middle eastern countries, their clerics did not speak out against it, their ayatollahs remained silent, yet we are to swallow the propaganda that theirs is a religion of peace? |
You people should stop bashing my president jor . . . it is almost my turn to visit the white house for some |
naliakar:Nalikar long time I don't think Osisi is stereotyping, 99% of terrorist attacks are perpetrated by muslims and/or are jihad related - that is an inescapable, inconvenient fact. That being said I am certain there are numerous muslims who have served and are serving this country honorably and they should not all be painted with the same tainted brush. and by the way, where are the modest, true, gentle, peace-loving NL muslims to condemn this tragedy in the strongest of terms? or will we have to hold our breath in vain as usual? |
You guys are crazy Eagle Eye review Computers have run amok and taken over the world a little too many times for me. And the danged thing is impossible. A robot with intuitive psychology is nowhere in existence in the real world. Just watch I Robot and be done with the rest. Not that it did justice to the incomparable genius of Asimov, but it was good. With Eagle Eye, even though the storyline was tired I was surprised to find I enjoyed this movie a little. Some effects and action sequences aren't bad. And Shia, who never spent a single day in acting class, is a good actor. The movie rode on a weary formula and Studio megabucks of effects, and one needs more from a movie than that. I enjoyed this as one would anything with a coherent storyline. I give it 50%.
Exactly, me too. spikedcylinder:lol . . . I think his pot belly might have some objections to that ![]() |
CP3 lovers abeg make we hear word jor . . . Iverson should be the perfect case study for ya'll. After all the scoring titles, steals, flashy plays, mvps, all-star games etc . . . it is all meaningless without a ring. Until Paul gets his he will continue to endure trash talk from me. No be statistics we go chop jor. Rondo has gotten his, whether it came under the heels of 3 HOFs or not, bottomline is he has gotten his and hence can open his mouth and talk. Everybody else go get ur own or eat you hearts out with jealousy chiogo:My sister I am well ![]() |
biina:I hope the Bengals humble the Ravens so more. Dolphins @ Pats: Wild cat running game in the snow? After a couple of cheap games help them find thei8r groove, time to see how Brady does against a defence that can bring pressure. Nice build up to week 10 against the colts.Wonders shall indeed never end . . . a Colts fan is talking 'bout another team having "cheap games" when they themselves just barely afforded a win against the 9ers last game day.Chargers @ Giants: New york faces another good passing team who can exploit their weak secondary.Giants 5-4! ![]() Cowboys @ Eagles: Romo + the beastly Eagles D = INTs galoreAmen, let it be so. MNFI dunno . . . If push came to shove, I'd take Denver over Pittsburgh who are yet to show us something spectacular this season. |
My sister, infact the mercies and blessings of God will pursue you, overtake you and imprison you! Amen ![]()
You're beholden to the truth, and if it is lost, you must take it upon yourself to search until you find it, steeling yourself for what you might find.
Absolutely, absolutely. And I think truth is a journey that never truly ends isn't it? Lemme say though that the crisis of faith wasn't borne out of the times . . . proverbs say God lets the rain fall on both the righteous and wicked, bad and hard times I understand and accept along with the good. Heard that famous quote "We have met the enemy, and it is us"? That is me. The heart of the matter is I am frustrated with my complete inability to live in a manner that is worthy of the calling - as if that were even possible. |

Well Max Craig, its a combination of several things of the worst being another passing (my friends mother I mentioned a while back) at the hands of cancer, and the "walk" being particularly unsteady right now . . . how do you go about 'ministering' and attempting to communicate to others a truth you yourself have no strong grasp of at the moment? |
I heard CP was fighting with another player the next night . . . story was on espn.com. The dude is just frustrated and needed an outlet lol cos players trash talk all the time and it is not meant to be taken personally unless 'mama' or 'wifey' is brought into it. Someone said Rondo probably told him "I'm going to be paid more than you" What happened with Iverson? I missed it . . .
Lemme play devil's advocate here. . Favre was and had been their franchise QB for eons the truth is that franchise is probably never going to have any player as good as Favre and despite his drama he was doing the bidness on the football field and was still somewhat productive. Now with all that he had done at Green Bay its only normal that he would feel insulted for having to compete for a starting job with Rodgers who was practically an unknown at the time. Its easy for us to stand from the outside and criticize but place yourself in his shoes. Would you happily compete with or deputize for someone you know you are better than? He is no saint though but these things happen and sometimes we forget these athletes are human too
True talk sha. I think the Packers were simply fed up, and rightfully so. This was the 3rd or 4th time he'd retired and decided to come back . . . even the most amicable of relationships would be strained due to such indecisiveness. He shoulda kissed and made up instead of demanding out . . . the spoiled Bratt.
@JeSoul- I sincerely hope you are right. I am a long time supporter of the ‘Black and Gold’ and have had my share of disappointments. After riding out the last few minutes of the Atlanta game on the edge of my chair, I can’t help but be a pessimist and remember years gone by when they would play down and choke in the stretch and loose games they should have won. As you alluded to, they have a combination of players with the right chemistry to go all the way. Me, I will be taking it one game at a time and pray that they deliver……. Geaux Saints!
My dear that's the story of so many teams . . . luck does play a role in it all. Staying healthy, deflected passes that turn into interceptions, 3rd down and inches that could not be advanced, holding and passer interference penalties that on replay don't seem so bad . . . on and on. But I am certainly rooting for NO, they are one team I would love to see successful after all the heartache that city has seen recently. |
wow Sauron 90%? 90% is not a joke oh . . . lol. Another case of different strokes for different folks.btw Sauron, I very much enjoyed spectating your war on on the 'Gay' thread yday lol
Any movie with no sex scenes in it does not impress Spikey. Max, see your husband said its okay lol.
My email addy. Vesc would have something to say about that.
@Jesoul Lets be fair to Favre though on his day even Tom Brady and Peyton Manning would pay homage and i still think the Packers did him greasy after leading them to 13-3 and the NFC Championship game in 08. They say Men lie Women lie numbers don't the Packers are 10-16 since he left and Favre is 16-8! They have not been better without him and for now and barring any spectacular upgrades. A-Rodge is still an apprentice to Favre. Oo si n ko se (e still dey learn work) We go do freedom party for am when he leads the Packers to the playoffs
My brother, for how long were the Packers supposed to be held hostage to Favre? He retired, cried during the press conf and all and they moved on, only for his behind to show up at training camp and demand he be annointed once again with the starting job? He shoulda humbled himself and competed with Rodgers for it like they offered instead of turing his nose up in the air in diva-like indignation and stomping his feet like the spolied bratt that he is. Numbers or no numbers, I support the Packers decision. Athletes no matter how accomplished should know they are not above the game . . . just like Manny with the Red Sox. We lost huge #s after we got got rid of him but to me it was addition by subtraction.
Not their best performance but the Saints keep marching on . . . . . . . one game at a time.Geaux Saints! WHO DAT??
lol . . . these Saints are frightening though. I don't think anyone can stop this run they're on. See Brees looking like a combination of Brady and Peyton throwing accurate passes to guys with triple coverage . . . they have the chance to go all the way this yr. |
Spiked, that was a slashing review, lol you musta really hated it. Review of "Eagle Eye": To summarize, Eagle Eye is best described as an honest but unfortunate attempt to bite off concepts from successful films from the sci-fi/thrill genre, resulting in a montage that is a weak rendition of the over-flogged computer-gone-rogue plot that eventually leaves the viewer thinking they should be sued for infringement (and I must mention this was a crime also commited but this time 100-fold by the infamous G.I. Joe.). This fact alone stripped EE of most of its credibility and integrity and once those two important factors are gone you'll seldom have a movie the audience will applaud. That being said, I didn't hate Eagle Eye, infact I found some of the action scenes genuine and riveting. It is fast-paced from the get-go and doesn't really let up thoughout the movie. Shia and Monaghan's characters were good and engaging and the rest of the cast is not bad at all. Overall, I rate Eagle Eye 50%. |
Max dearest, I am aight my sister, you know how it goes . . . its up then its down. What's your email add? |
JK, I know I'm in your dog house right now . . . forgive moi? My Eagle Eye review coming up in a jiff. |
bawomolo:Nah that's not worth much, can't take that to the bank at all. Any self-respecting team/player will show up against the Browns at home ![]() |
lol na real shame. I don't think he's necessarily been that great though . . . he has so many weapons and options, heck even Cutler could be a star QB with the Viking line-up okay maybe I'm kidding with Cutler, even Jason Campbell would be great with the Vikings . . . why that dude still has the starting job is beyond me. |
It is a good idea to chronicle all the phone calls you've made, the amount of time you've spent etc and write a formal letter of complaint to the UPS corporate center either in Ireland or wherever their head office is. I've always taken to writing angry but polite letters whenever I encounter horrible customer service and I've seen usually they'll find a way to appease or compensate you. This kind of horrid 'customer' service is simply not acceptable. One airline lost my luggage for the duration of my trip, best believe I kept receipts of everything I bought - clothes, food, even make-up, they reimbursed all my expenses. Write to them! companies are fearful of angry customers. |
It won't hurt to say it, Celtics are mightily strong. U could even say u guys were unlucky last season. Upon all. Tall still made the semis, u can't win everytime injury is one if the things they most times can't control. . U can only pray
True sha. But still you know how we Boston fans are we're spoiled.the strong teams I was hailing are te perenial ones, I agree teams currently on a hot streak like heat n co still need time befor being analysed.I don't think there's any real substance to the Heat. Wade's false foul calls and subsequent free throws can only carry them so far About lebron, is he ready to be in a team like celtics who hav no relatively single star taking the whole spotlight n win a championshipFor real. The Cavs thought bringing Shaq would solve everything. Crunch time, Williams and co are standing around the perimeter like lost puppies, watching Lebron force up contested 3s. All the shakara and picture taking of last year is a distant memory now lol. |
BTW, is anyone buying stock on Denver? and I am predicting it now, Cleveland will make a trade before the deadline, as it is right now, Lebron is not going to come back to this roster of nobody's . . . Mo Williams should be stripped naked and pepper rubbed over his body and whipped with water cane - what a wimp. |
Me I am not taking any strong-looking team seriously until after the all-star break or reasonably, after 60 games. Same Celtics started 27-2 last year and how did the story end? they should just focus on staying healthy, not unbeaten. That being said, I am nevertheless enjoying the strong start . As for Rondo, he will get paid either way. It may be smarter for him to wait till season's end and have more teams bid on him and jack up the price tag . . . but his stock is very high now, no telling if his play during the season might decline and hurt him. Chiogo, my dear, how is life in Amherst? |
