Well . . . "despicable" is not the word I woulda gone with but . . . I thought he didn't handle himself well. Even if the questions were fair/unfair you are a national figure of important significance in these tough times. He shoulda been prepared or did he expect a love-fest? instead of a hard drill? And of course any criticism of an admin official reflects on the commander chief, and is infact an indirect indictment on him, this has been true for the past 43 presidents, no? |
@Jesoul Three of our starters are even injured right now sef. See the reason we are a 2nd rounder or 3rd rounder is simple! Dirk does not get enough consistent help in crunch time situations especially in the post season. The only time we did get consistent help we got to the Finals and that help is Josh Howard when he is in All star form we are at par with the Lakers in the West but he's decided to be injured and inconsistent at the same time. The good part is with a younger back court of Barea and Beaubois there is depth in the back court the front court is a bit older but i am liking that Humphries dude sha he's been productive with his lean minutes and Gooden has been an excellent addition so far i can only hope Marion gets back soon and even Dampier lol even though i still think he sucks. Bottom line is till we get that other consistent go-to guy we would always contend but fall short Kobe needed Gasol, K.G needed Pierce and Allen, Duncan had Parker and Ginobili it just may change for us this season who knows? I'm only scared of the Lakers and maybe the Nuggets thankfully the Hornets are not playoff candidates I'd advice ma Mavs to trade Howard by season end if he doesn't shape up he turns 30 anyway and go for Rudy Gay who's wasting with the Grizz
He is wasting for real. I'm not so sure all Dirk needs is a better supporting cast . . . I think he needs a co-star. When would the Nets get their first win? 0-12. Jay-Z must be pissed!lol . . . this is not a good way to woo LeBron over. |
No2 heard of this new show called "Conspiracy Theory" on history channel I think, hosted by Jesse Ventura - former wrestler and governor? |
Are you saying there's nothing man-made that interferes with the earth's atmosphere, altering its chemical properties, slowly accelerating ozone layer depletion? It's all natural?
Not by any stretch of the imagination! lol The pollution coming from cities like LA and NY alone are incomprehensible. Climate we can affect big time, its global warming I don't buy. What? De Senora, she likes the golf? She likes the golf, watches the golf and plays the golf. Lol Who on earth could actually say that with a straight face? LolOyb and Rev Jeremiah Wright! ![]() |
semid4lyfe:It won't if its limited and used properly. Basketball reviews end of game or game-altering calls, Baseball reviews whether it was a home run or not, Tennis issues I think 2 challenges per set to the players and extra if it goes into a tie break. American football should be the standard. The coaches have challenges/timeouts (2 per half I think) - if they challenge uneccesarily/are wrong they lose a very costly timeout. Also officials can themselves initiate a review of a call during the last 2 minutes of a game. Soccer needs to catch up with the times and institute replay asap to stop the kind of injustice that happened to Ireland. One challenge (review/replay) can be equal to a substitution if the coach ends up being wrong, that way a coach would think long and hard before challenging a call on the field. |
No2Atheism:Kai! this one na geography/geology class oh . . . Max is this more than you bargained for? |
It, golf, and other things that take too long for a winnner to emerge. Field, track, water sports, gymnastics, extreme sports,oh yeah! Boxing is the worst.
You almost got away with it . . . what was that you said about golf? |
bawomolo:The same purists that would be screaming bloody murder had it been Nigeria in Ireland's unfortunate position. Times have advanced, the way we do sports should morph, and people should stop clinging to a dinosaur when there's a ferrari parked beside it. |
bawomolo: LOL why settle to be a lowly suicide bomber when you can enlist in the US army and be a well-paid, desk dweller, surfing the net for fellow jihadists, turning down any assignment you don't like, saying whatever you want as the management is handicapped by political correctness, living up the good life at the local strip club? |
Global warming - the increase in the earth surface/air temperature. Contenders believe it will continue and is largely due to man's harmful activities (greenhouse gases, deforestation etc etc) Climate change - can be described as the change/fluctuations in local weather patterns. Max the simple truth is a lot of these legitimate scientist believers in global warming are armed only with theories and faulty statistics that bend and break under the close scrutiny. I agree wholeheartedly man needs to curb pollution and uneccesary emission of harmful gases into the atmosphere but to the extent of which we have caused any substantial, measurable damage on the 'global warming' scale, is anybody's guess. oyb:You forgot to add swine flu, hiphop music, welfare, Al Sharpton and BET ![]() |
No2Atheism:Lol . . . the poor guy thought he was doing a service and coming to educate us, instead we fended and chased him off as if with a broom if not for it was a 'christian' event lol we wouldn't have been so niceSome of the other stuff about pollution and teaching people how to interact with the environment is good, practical stuff though. |
sayso:My thoughts are you should provide your proof before we proceed ![]() |
I haven't watched the videos, but I know very well a certain man of God, fearless in his presentation and declaration of the gospel of Jesus Christ - a man named Paul Washer. You will do well to listen to him. |
Digress all you like homeboy . . . this entire thread is one huge fun digression. Max you can't be buying into the Al Gore song and dance, complete with a sham of a nobel prize. I think global warming is a myth, there's just not enough scientific data to support the sentimental propaganda. We had one of the foremost experts on evnironment give a presentation at school last year. He wrote a book called "Our Father’s World: Mobilizing the Church to Care for Creation" Needless to say I (and a few other unbelievers) were tormenting the poor guy all night with a global warming skpetics dream-questions. I think he was flustered and slightly teed off at the end while exchanging pleasantries. -To say people should only eat beef once a month so as to reduce the emissions of a cattle factory in a land far far away -and flush the toilet only after #2 and only after using 2 squares of tissue paper -and not buy anything but organic produce . . . etc etc -and drive mini kia mia's instead of safer bigger cars must be due to the onset of dementia. I'm not worried about a future earth that I will not be present in ![]() |
bawomolo:I was just about to say that. Instant replay and issuing of 'challenges' by the coach should be a staple in every sport. |
Well the knicks have nuthin to lose by getting Iverson for the rest of the year . . . he will score and sell tickets cos Lord knows they gon need the money next summer.
Marion & Howard injured for the Mavs!! Wahala dey oh this might force Carlisle to play small ball more than necessary with Kidd,Beaubois and Barea or Terry Drew Gooden and Kris Humphries have been impressive but Quinton Ross has been a no show Dirk has just been Dirk! shooting em lights out like the buzzer beater against the Bucks his team mates need to help him more often
Those fellas could provide some needed grit off the bench . . . and that Humpries na fine boy |
I know a few things. I get that you want to put the ball in the net fence. There's a guy who runs around and gives people different colour cards. He blows a whistle too. There are golden goals. No idea what they are and don't give a hoot either. There's penalty; something awarded to punish an offending team. They get to put the ball real close to the net fence (which is called Box Eighteen ) and kick it.Sometimes a winner is got this way when there's a draw. WhyManchester United? Are they special? What's the big deal with football?A begi.
this is serious . . . I know a few fanatics who would curse at this level of blatant unrepentant blasphemy ![]() justkunmi:I had you penned for a gunner, don't ask how or why. There's a scene in "The Day After Tomorrow" . . . 3 climatologists know they're about to die, they bring out a 12 yr old bottle of scotch to make one last final toast: 1st guy: "To England" 2nd guy: "To mankind" 3rd guy: "To Manchester United!" |
Fear not, no matter what happens, it is well with you and yours. |
Deep Sight:Lol . . . this is too funny. |
I wonder . . . is the measure by which some christians ascribe authority to the bible based on available historical evidence (archeological, anecdotal and otherwise) that correlate and hence validate biblical narratives confirming them to be indeed factual accounts? or is the measure by which some christians ascribe authority to the bible simply based on the fact that the words of the bible are life and power, bursting at the seams with a soul-transforming message of love, death, sacrifice and redemption? I'm wary of christians of the former persuation, they have missed the point entirely while convinced they be on some sort of justified, laudable search for greater spiritual enlightenment. However intellectually profitable extra-biblical materials may be - and oftentimes they are - but for the christian they must never become the foundation upon which you stand or even a pillar upon which your faith leans. I'm reminded of 2 Tim 3:7 "always learning but never able to acknowledge the truth" but please ignore me, I was just wondering out loud . . . |
I love sports. Don't play sports games though. except some car racing, mostly Need for Speed or Wipeout. I've simply never developed a thing for football. The thing is incomprehensible. The madness and fan devotion exceeds the game. I sometimes endure the torture of watching some. Someone simply passes a ball to someone else and people are screaming all around me. I look to see if anything special has happened in the game but no: men are just passing a ball from one person to the other. I enjoy other people enjoying it but it never caught on.
ROTFLOL . . . see yab. If football fans here on NL see this you will be lynched. |
Surprising becos you like games. So you don't like sports in general? My sister, there's always a cup or competition or champions league or friendly or qualifier or EPL or Serie A or Laliga going on . . . |
Lol . . . you don't like |

C2H5OH:Which team in their right mind will hire Iverson now? Along with Starbury? What a waste of talent. |
